PGRM’s list of candidates

Malaysiakini has reported correctly that Dr Koh Tsu Koon would be standing in Batu Kawan in its breaking news this afternoon.

In fact, the whole Parti Gerakan list has just been announced and it is posted on this new blog: A matter of Choice started by a group of Gerakan grassroots members. Pls click the link to view the full list.

Among the surprise is that former Jelutong MP Lee Kah Choon is now contesting a state seat Machang Bubuk. Lim Si Pin is contesting in Batu, where the incumbent Ng Lip Yong is not standing. Dr Tan Kee Kwong has been dropped.

first, nepotism exists everywhere and it is clear that it is in gerakan. to maintain a chinese chief ministership, it is wise to appoint a ‘seem to be clean man’ – lee kah choon. the other 2 are useless (an old man and a ‘tok tai keok’ man).
i am not pro gerakan or anything but love to see a chinese remained as chief minister.

Looking at the list of candidates posted on the blog A matter of Choice, I’m really surprised that Gerakan being a multiracial party, only has 1 race represented. Granted, there’s one more vacancy in Perak to be announced.

The Battle Royal in Penang – a David and Goliath match perhaps for Prof Dr P. Ramasamy (Batu Kawan) against Dr Koh Tsu Koon. The other DAP2 new faces in Penang are; Jeff Ooi (Jelutong), Liew Chin Tong (Bukit Bendera) Meanwhile trouble is brewing up in DAP Pahang where DAP chief Lip Tuck Chee tendered his resignation, only to withdraw it four hours later. “The candidates for the Pahang seats have been decided but there was a jostle for the Teras assembly seat that has been assigned to me,” he said, However, after a phone call around 8pm by party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, Lip agreed to remain as state chief. Despite the Hindraf Rally and the attending agitation arising from the Indian Community, our Samy Vellu is still not exiting without putting up a fight in the GE 2008. His confidence level is extra boastful and confident declaring that out of the 19 state seats only three namely – 1. Lunas, 2 Perai, 3 Bagan Dalam need extra efforts. The 9 Parliament seats have no problems.
His reasoning “of the 780,000 voters we have, 530,000 are our members, when own members, we have a special direction for them. What we have to fight for is the balance of 200 hundred over thousands”
So is this Indian factor having a decisive say in the swing of votes to the opposition or is it a wishful thinking for a lot of people? More details & pics at

In a sense, DAP is seen to be more multi racial than Gerakan, following kcc’s comments above.

And PKR is also likely to be seen to be more multi racial than Gerakan, too.

Are these the last days of the Gerakan of olde ?

PGRM has just appointed one youth leader Kohilan as a senator, which is also a Parliamentarian. So far, out of the 3 senator posts in PGRM, 2 are held by capable Indian leaders , the other one being Dr Vijayaratnam.

In fact, as a party which stresses on non racial approach, as long as its represnetatives fight for the right of all races, and not just one race, then it should be termed as a non racial party even if its membership is largely of one race only.

There is nothing surprising or new to hear… parties dropping this or that person…or have one wellknown politician drop a bombshell to embarrass his/her own party… announcing this or that reason for not contesting.
I believe every party knows what is good or bad for their parties and most reasons you read of a person not contesting or feel unfairly treated are just half truths.
In real life…..selfishness and secretly to the real real truths of it all….are twisted …to project he/she is a victim…..mostly not true at all.
Please recall … grateful and humble ……..any rookie candidate being picked and supported by any party.
So many from all parties….and I bet you……they will keep their mouths shut and obey….at this stage.
It s when getting popular……supported by the party flags and perhaps doing a fine job…. like Lee Lam Thye……that threw the biggest surprise announcement…….decades ago……not only stand off from election under DAP…….but resign from DAP party!!
What have DAP done to him….to warrant such harsh actions..and surprises?? Easy to guess and almost all Chinese hates him. That’s the fact!!
So which person standing under which vicinity or being moved to another vicinity…..really means nothing.
Voters are dead set to vote for the party and as well as looking at the qualifications of the candidates.
We don’t want taxi drivers….low class teachers…farmers…kampong heads..who have little or no educations to represent the country anymore…….and make us look so idiotic..with their filthy rich lifestyles…….openly defying the public….to prove they are corrupted….which they surely are….yet their party…. does nothing about it…WHY??? So is their main reasons to go inti rob the countries wealth for personal and party benefits…..

You can never get these corrupted members into when one goes in…. than …that one will reveal so many more…thus the change reaction to expose all is so great.
Do you know why Semi Value is so powerful……even UMNO fears him???
But his days are numbered… he uses his 28 years talking bull…..never really help his own kind with his great power and influences…..playing the game to stay in power for personal benefits………carrying the balls of you know who….to shame the Indian community……..year in year out.
Presuming corruptions are not so easy to prove….yet many are holding ministerial posts…as if they are angels from heaven.
That is why….we must first vote UMNO and BN out….for a change …for FREEDOM and against daylight robbers…robbing with confidences and smiling away.
We must vote UMNO out….to stop then from for manipulating with our police and legal systems…..two major forces…that are designed to enslaved voters and treat us like animals..with tear gas and water cannons and jail with no reasons…..except to create fear….for possible trouble causing.
But we are also blessed with somewhat… a kind hearted UMNO PM…not to go overboard……to create real actions that thousand of lives maybe dead by now… what President Marcos of Phillipines did. Thousands had to died to get FREEDOM.
But it is the same desires by UMNO…..believe it…..only less the more brutal and gangster type actions…simply because … MALAYSIA…not so easy ….as we are a rich country….educated and have powerful distributions of three races…not so easy to be bullied to the extreme.
So elections is just a stone throw…..and I think we need to study the qualifications of the candidates and focus voting for change in government.
And SV is a real disgrace to the Indians….yet still so powerful in the BN…. especially…. Pak Lah’s promise to be ‘People’s PM”
So clear…we all been fooled for past 28 years.

why Malay Malaysian want to join Gerakan, they are promised all sorts of privileges and preferential treatments by being members of umno? whereas Indian Malaysian is only a tiny number left after minus members of MIC , Gerakan has trouble recruiting non-Chinese Malaysians is not plan by leadership but by existing environment.

Go read the details at Malaysiakini.
One by one….UMNO and the BN are showing their true colors….worthless full of shit politicians…playing race and religion unholy dirty politics….putting to fas years..during these 28 years..trat8nf peaceful walkers like animals.

It is not the “race”matter in Penang, it is the capability, qualification and experience matter, just look at Penang n Kelantan, which one you think is good for Malaysians? It doesn’t need one to be a rocket scientist to see that.

Kelantan was never developed unlike the developed PG . PG needs maintenance/repair/updrade not more on development compared to Kelantan .

The PG ship captain is a good person . But he is in the wrong ship . The ship is sinking hence the captain would be drowning together regardless if he was not the one whom cuased it to hit the ice berg .

I can’t imagine supporting the devil’s coalition which could throw tear gas canister towards a helpless crowd (which incl ladies and children) .
It actually threw humanity and 50years of trust into the drain. I could not be happier to see the devil itself being thrown into drain .

If multi-races are fighting for indepedence and
holding hands truly, why there is still discrimination ?
One cannot deceive oneself as the pictures of
    discriminations are being exposed.

If one is sincere, honest and having an unbiased heart one is loved by all. True action speaks for

So citizens of a democratic Malaysia,
now, is the time to vote wisely and fairly.

Choose the right one, and don’t go the extreme of happiness, it may lead to selfishness and egoistic.

Choose the wrong one, don’t feel disappointed
and dejected. Love youself and others with
an impartial heart. Merry and joy breaks the
    ice of hatred and anger.
