Big foot and Big monkey?
Well, when someone called me and told me about what happened in the Parliament, my first thought was some one was attacking the bloggers again because bloggers were labeled monkeys just one year ago.
Oh No!! This time it is not for us bloggers. This time the name calling involves highly placed members of the society, the honourables , or in Malaysia we called them Yang Berhormat. If honourables can behave like monkeys and big foot, what about the ordinary citizens like you and me?I wonder.
My second thought was, they must have just came out of kintergartens, because only some small kids would behave like that.– majority of small kids behave better than this , of course.
It is like ” you friend him, I don’t friend you!” type of thing. It is like “you kick my butt and I will kick yours” type of things.
What to expect next?Don’t tell me they are going to fight like the Koreans inside the august house? Maybe the design of the lower house is a bit like that of a “wrestling ring”? Don’t be surprised that they would do that.
Nothing is going to surprise me from the “honourables”. Some can asked custom to “close one eye”. Some can use 4 letter words. I wonder how they teach their kids, and how they set examples for their kids. Maybe it is a case of the crabs telling the baby crabs that they should walk straight rather then sideway.
They do not even have common courtesy , especially they know that the proceeding was telecast live and many young children are watching how they behave. If “honourables ” can do it, the children must be thinking, why can’t we, the not so honourables, do the same thing?
“Mou Gan Thai” – no eye see, literally translation of a Cantonese phrase meaning that I don’t want to see! I willmake sure that the TV is off the next time it is telecast live.

Yip!! The low class show is on. I don’t blame oppositions. They kept them too long in their hearts….to let them out.
Now they have the chance…live on TV…why not??
Like Koreans or Taiwanese…no way. Saw the fierce face Kelantan man..approaching one he wanted to fight..in the Kelantan parliament sitting..some months ago?? Look at him….one must hold him back…and he kick softly like a pondan. No wonder our football team is lowest in the world…..no brain…and no kicking power!!
It great low class acting…right now in Parliament.
Let all the steam come out.
But if People’s Party representatives keep playing the fool… they are digging their own graves in next election. Lets see.

Most of the Perkatan Rakyat’s MPs are first timers. Those who had been served more than a term should set themselves up as examples for the newcomers.
The situation has changed now. In the past, the number of opposition was too small, the people knew of the difficulty of these members getting the government to take them seriously. They had made allowances when they misbehaved in the past.
Now, the people had voted more of their colleagues to join them in the House. The people now expect much more from them now. They should be always aware of this new expectation. No more rowdy and unduly behavior. The people now want results! Hope the PR leaders can come up with a code of conduct for their members. Do not ape the BN members. This is not what the people want or else why do they made the change on March the 8th.

Mandate have been given by the people. Now let see how our MP’s do for the people and issues be carry out to the people.
Parliamentary sitting should be telecast live for all of us to judge how our MP’s from Pakatan Rakyat or Barisan Nasional antic. We all have eye to see, sense to evaluate and hand to vote.
What change can the Pakatan Rakyat brings to the Parliament? People power, makkal sakti or makkal mutaah (stupid people). You all be the judge for days to come.

Dr Hsu,
One the contrary I would want to watch more (even though it raises my BP). I watched the 1st one and it was a revelation to me. At least now I know the true picture rather than those reported in the media.

why don’t we get a group of interested people to create a scoreboard for our ‘esteemed’ YBs?
I mean create a simple scoreboard of 222 names and each time something idiotic comes out of a mouth, a tick goes under the IDIOT column and if something reasonable or even smart is said, a tick goes under SENSIBLE.
What say you Dr Hsu?

We encourage live telecast and how our MP’s behave. Are they doing their works? Are they talking sense? Get to business procedure and start debated the policy by the people, for the people and to the people.

I still think the proceedings should be telecast. even though I wrote that i would turn it off. Because this is part and parcel of atransparent party, those that i dont like to view, others people might still want to view.
So I support live telecast.

romerz, you idea is very good. But we need to have help from other bloggers and readers.
haris Ibrahim, my blogging friend and a social activist, has started monitoring the work of a MP for quite some time now. there is another site, citizens’ thinktank also doing the monitoring.
What you suggest is good. and worth considering.
