Release the report and charge the culprits

I refer to the Malaysiakini report on the Royal Commission of inquiry, in which Chairperson Haidar Mohamed Noor was qouted as saying :

“Personally I think the report should be made public. However, that is not for me to decide. The last word is still with the Prime Minister.”

I think the Commission’s report on ‘Lingam Tapes’ should be made public.

reasons:

1. To practise Transparency: If the report can be made public wholesome, it would show the public that the government is really sincere in reforming to pursue better governance with total transparency and accountability.

2. Pak Lah should have nothing to fear since this judicial black dot happened during the previous administration. By going public, the Prime Minister can win a lot of points and show his sincerity to reform the judiciary.

3. The Commission is set up using government money ( which means your money and my money), and so the government has a duty to the Rakyat to make the report public since public fund is used to set up the Inquiry.

4. As I have always mentioned, the world is being flattened now and the hierarchy of those who rule and those who are ruled is being blurred, due to the advances in knowledge, communication and internet. The people are as well educated as, some are even better informed than, the government  leaders. If the report is withheld, there would be a big cloud over the whole thing, and there would definitely a perception that the government is trying to sweep something under the carpet.

5. Politically, since the Commission has already been set up due to public pressure, it would be politically wise to make public the report. It would be politically stupid to set up a commission and yet to make the report private and confidential.

I look forward to read what is inside the Commission report, and in the name of justice, any wrongdoers , no matter how high the person is or was sitting, must be charged and tried.

Dollah said he is going to read over and decide.
Doing that….means he is not practicing transparency…but will so … be call… practicing transparency…….only..if the report do not say anything….that makes UMNO look like a fool or hypocrite.
No true righteous man will say…he needs to read it first…to decide later…from a report..by a team of honorable men….we call….. the Royal Commissioners. If they need to be scrutinized…..why call them at all?
The Lingam case is Malaysians rights….to know all…..without PM …..to dictate terms.
It simply cannot be censored or kept secret….like a secret government paper….buying war weapons. This is National story…and every Malaysian have full rights….to know it all…straight away.
Out of respect…yes….he can read it first…than jut get it out to for the public….untouched…uncensored . Only this way….Dollah can be considered…sincere and true to what he promise to be……being the People’s PM.
    Is he?…..I wonder.

If the PM were to follow the recommendations of the Commission, it would enhance the PM’s standing with the rakyat. But, if he were to go against the recommendations, it would certainly damage his image beyond any repair.

This is BN Government common practice, they are trying to delay and delay again for the this issue, trying to use the time to dilute the memory of Malaysian, but unfortunely the PR people is trying to make the Malaysian always recall this issue. I think normal BN practice this issue hardly go public.

A sensible, responsible and confidence government will make the report public. Nothings to lose to gain the trust and confidence of the people.

Let the people known we can trust and confidence in BN.

But I have strange feelings…..if the report is to recommend Mahathir…..to be arrested….Lingam and Eusoff Chin…too and be de-barred…then Dolah may be very happy …to make it public.
But if the report..somewhat blame UMNO ….not Mahathir and the other culprits…he may not publish it. That’s how democratic….UMNO can be…to Malaysians.

I’m not sure Pak Lah should have nothing to fear, even though it didn’t occur during his time as PM.

A number of the (alleged) key players are still part of the UMNO establishment, and the questions it raises about the whole system extend to the appointments and decision which Pak Lah made.

This is the kind of fire which might bring the whole cinema down.

I won’t be surprised if some superficial excuse is made to allow only partial release of sanitised portions of the report.

Our dear Pak Lar is now in’ Catch 21′ situation…..
Please give him some time to ponder the pro and con of making the report public.
In fact any tom dick and harry in town knows who the real culprit is…… Pak Larrrr… is buying time.. have mercy on him …. ok don’t be too hard on this gentle and soft gentleman… I still think he is the best PM we have as compare to Dr. Mahathir and other PM … At least he is practising demon-cracy for all we know???

It is for sure have to go through various layers of unmoputra racist approval machinery to see whether the report manage to pin point any VIP member of the present leadership, only then it can be allowed to go public, so long as the” corrupt power” is not in harm way, it ‘s umno’s PM promise of “transparency” to all Malaysians.

kittykat46….How is monetary investments game for you…make or loss?
One of my friend ..made millions….and lost back millions…not back to square one..but recently died of heart attack…..worrying how to pay back the banks.
When come to gambling or investments…my balls shrink!! I am quite contented to earn the small interest banks pay for my savings.
But I have no fear….investing in doing business. Have always a pair of far sighted eyes…but my failures are having too many bad customers and staffs…….meaning ..I was too soft.
At close age 70….the passion is still there…and the challenges for life…no regrets….still working…still struggling.
    So far..so good.
