Being a father for two kids, i am very appreciate what my wife have done for my family, i was on site taking movie during my wife delivered the two kids. From deepest of my heart, i really felt that a mother is so noble and we can’t use our word to express their devote for the kids. I think all of us have mum and today at least must show some appreciation to your mum as well as your wife .

Yes…Be loving and take care of your mother. She spent all her life..sacrificing….worrying….for your health…..sometimes….helplessly….as ..most..being … house a wife…..she depends on the father…to provide the financial part……but day and night nursing the sick child..is nothing uncommon….even from a simple cough…while dad needs to sleep well …to work………next day.
I think most grown ups can speak to the mothers…more comfortably and truthfully…than to the fathers….and the grown up children…usually go to the mother for advises on love affairs……..especially by the daughters.
Fathers used to get the second news..from the mothers.
This may not be the case for everyone….as some fathers are great friends to their grown up children.
My mother died some 35 years ago….and up to now..I still miss her very much.
I do not believe in celebrating mother’s day. I believe mother’s day..is everyday….any day…whenever we can…whatever we can…to show how grateful and loving children we are….even of we are all grown up….or very old…like me…and she is still there…..how lucky for those people….able to say… ‘I love you mom” everyday…hug and kiss her everyday..

If all parents are considered Buddhas..the enlightened ones….there will be millions of Buddhas…and not just a thousand….after 2500 years.
Criminal lawyers will be out of business…as parents will make sure…their children toe the line..or else……boom ..baanng…. .pooek….no matter how old they are.
Doctors too will have a though time to be millionaires…as parents will cut cost and buy medicine to administrate home curing…as they know so much.
    NO…no…no…parents are not Buddhas….impossible!!
Suggest novice 101 study more about Buddhism.
But such a kind person ….novice 101 is. How can one not love his simple kind heart.
    According to him….he will be a Buddha…one day……hahahahahahaha

monsterball, I agree with you. Children usually go to mothers for their problems, but most fathers love their children no less.

I too used to go to my mum for problems but some of the advice my dad gave me… was so wise, till today I can remember them clearly.

I miss my father and mother even though they passed away many years ago.

Once your parent are gone, you are totally o their own because no one would give you more selfless advice than the parents.

Treat the parents well.Let everyday be father’s day and mother’s day…like the wise ‘monty’ has said.
