The Permatang Pauh by election

Many fellow members and commentators asked me about my opinion about the Permatang Pauh by election.

I recall very clearly many leaders of Parti Gerakan have , after MArch 8, told the grassroots that if UMNO does not reform within a certain timeframe, they would advocate pulling out of BN.

Whether UMNO has changed in the past few months, or whether the people are living better now than past few months, I do not think i need to elaborate. From my feedback from common people on the grounds, more people are unhappier now than before MArch 8. Even Merdeka Centre’s recent poll shows that the support rating of the PM has declined. And almost 90% of the people do not believe in the sodomy case that is being investigated.

So the answer to whether UMNO has really changed is obvious. It is almost 6 months since the last election, but UMNO leadership is still harping on race. The recent talk with PAS for Malay Unity is obvious that UMNO will never change its race based politics.

So, what is Gerakan, a non-sectorian party by its ideology and belief, doing within BN? I have mentioned many times that it is a square peg in a round hole, and the round hole is going to be round no matter how long the square peg is waiting for the roundness to change to a square one.

My view is therefore, while the leadership is still considering whether to leave or stay in BN, during this transition period, it should NOT participate in any election campaign waged by UMNO. To wage a war against a party with similar non-racial ideology in order to help a raced based party would be hypocritical, especially now that the majority of the people in urban areas would like to see less of racial politics but more of a politics based on social needs.

If the leadership really intends to go back to its ideology, go back to its grassroots, and go back to the peole, as promised after the March 8 debacle, then this is the time to send a signal to the people about the sincerity of its intention.

individuals like you and the likes of dr toh are the conscience of the party. but, sad to say there are not enough such individuals in gerakan.
whats the prospect of gerakan leaving BN? zilch is my analysis.
and whats the future of gerakan?
not very bright, in my mind.

” Wan Azizah is not Sincere about serving her people well ”

” Anwar is a coward for picking such a constituency to emerge on the parliament ”

” Anwar’s trying to avoid the sodomy case. ”

If I heard those words a during Badawi’s first term, I might actually support that argument.

Now, all I see is someone who’s obviously ONE STEP BEHIND FREAKING EVERYTHING.

I hate Malaysia for warping everything to be stupid.

Yes..UMNO is hoping for race and religion politics they played for 52 years..to be popular again.
They play the sodomy case on Anwar…hoping it will lock him up again.
They play fear and provocations games…to make voters submit to them.
They created something from nothing…with road blocks…to create fear..with no regards to Malaysians looses time and money to work…..or doing business.
Dollah said he will speak up for poor Saiful…yet he ignored the whole country.
He praised Ezam….yet ignored majority feelings…this is a nobody…don’t waste time…go to work. He never work!!
Since after election..all UMNO is doing…nothing beneficial for the country.
Here itself…..hundreds of millions are lost every month…on unproductive buggers.
    Such is UMNO under Dollah.
He is smiling..so is Najib…..and when both are smiling….they are actually acting…totally insincere idiotic…buggers.
Before election….both said Anwar is a nobody.
    Now both said….same thing.
They always say the opposites about oppositions….and always make a fool of themselves…talking about Anwar…as a nobody….when it is UMNO with the help of certain police officers…making life difficult for Anwar.
Why so much concentration on Anwar……if he is a nobody??
The more Dollah smiles..means UMNO is a gone case….and he is certainly not the People’s PM…at all.
The recent surveys….on Dollah and UMNO…you can bet..no comments.
And on other BN parties….almost all Malaysians treat them….useless racialists too…and we hate racialists.
    We have enough or rouges..bullshitters…actors.
Malaysians have awaken to the TRUTHS!!
Yes…all are prepared fir next election…to throw UMNO and BN out…and Permatang Pauh will be an unopposed result…for UMNO to save face.
Love to see big mouth Ezam go against Anwar.
    He will loose his deposits.
Lets get UMNO go for a real contest….if they got any guts!!
And Anwar said….if they feel Pematang Pauh is too safe for him..he suggested Dollah or Najib to resign..and he will contest in their safe areas…against anyone of them.
Yes..why not Dollah or better still the so call future PM of Malaysia…pull out and invite Anwar to contest in his so very very safe place?

I think this is the right time for Gerakan members to resign en-bloc or for Gerakan to pull out of BN. Better still if such thing can happen on nomination day of the by-election of Permatang Pauh.

So, Gerakan, please lead others in BN for this to happen. Malaysian of all races will be grateful to you.

Permatang Pauh by-election is a ‘forgone conclusion’ to me, you may see a ‘walk over’ from Umno as if they go ahead with the by-election, the end results will see ‘bitter pills’ to swallow and that would not be good to Umno and the whole BN.

I left UMNO the day the late Tunku Abdul Rahman died outside UMNO baru formed by Dr.M after the infamous battle between Team A and Team B . Infact , the ‘ father of UMNO Baru ‘ ; Dr.M had abandoned UMNO Baru.

UMNO Baru DOES NOT REPRESENT THE MALAYS !
UMNO Baru DOES NOT BELIEVE THE OTHER RACES !
UMNO Baru DOES NOT EVEN RESPECT THE RULERS !
UMNO Baru DOES NOT EVEN RESPECT THE TRUE ISLAM !

It is really refreshing to know more and more Malay are ‘multiracial’ in their outlook. In fact, a lot of non-Malay are still very ‘racist’ and I wish to see more non-Malay will learn from people like Muda and Anak Muda in their outlook.

I can understand the our perceptions on each other races are still varies and such perceptions should not be the basis for us to build up the ‘trusts’ among all Malaysian.

Such ‘trusts’ should be built on ‘understanding’ of each other aspirations.

To answer you, Muda, since UMNO is dead, UMNO Baru is nothing, their aims are very much different with the rest of Malays it claimed to represent.

True Malaysian writer….this shows you don’t mix much with Malaysian malays!
They are more multiracial in their outlook…than most Malaysian Chinese…and Indians.
Only on the 12th election…these races began to realize how bad UMNO an BN are…seeing tear gas ..water cannons sprayed on innocent people…and the 5 Hindraf under ISA..shows law of the jungle…very much alive..under he disguise of guided democracy and protecting Malaysians.
I am glad…you are waking up to the TRUTHS..as ..Malays have aways been multiracial out look…except from UMNO and PAS….and that’s because….theY have programed to be so
PAS have changed …these few years. UMNO is getting worst!!
The biggest problem….Malaysian Chinese seems o be experts in judging Malays..when they themselves are supporting… race and religion under the BN banner.
Now..ask yourself…..did you support Gerakan and MCA?
    If so…you are guilty….then …confess and change.
Don’t judge others….if you are not a true malaysian.!!
    Is Mahathir….Dollah ..Najib….all UMNO guys…true Malaysians?
    Are MCA….Gerakan…….MIC..true Malaysians?
I am sue you are going to say….they are.
    Then…you better learn more.

I am staying in Permatang Pauh and I will vote again in the upcoming bye-election. No doubt Dato Seri Anwar will win, no matter who challenges him.

Voting the other side is not beneficial either. See how our economy is managed now. There are a lot of wastages and loss of money. The government does not have the money to all the poor people. The recent price increase in petrol makes more people poor and everyday living a torture.

The rise in the international oil price is the work of speculators. The government should not be panicky.

True Malaysians want a Malaysian Malaysia.
UMNO and BN want a Malaysia..each race takes care of it’s own.
Yes yes yes..It was right 25 years ago.
But since under Mahathir….this evil man….not only want race divisions..but even divide his own race….to “have” and “have none”…applying…divide to rule..as a Dictator. Was he ….a DICTATOR?
    Dictator wants slaves.
That’s the start of more and more Muslims…hates UMNO BARU…and Mahathir and the Chinese and Indians were slow and cautious….to the extend….being selfish and calculative.
Luckily…the Indians and Chinese…did change and vote for a strong opposition.

I had predicted in my blog on June 11 that Anwar would go for Permatang Pauh for 4 reasons:
    1. He wants to come back with a LOUD BANG! What better way to do it; of course Permatang Pauh.
    2. This will show that he goes back to his own people.
    3. No other present PKR incumbent MP needs to vacate.
    4. Wifey can take a deserving rest.

    You see? It’s a win-win-win-win scenario!!

I’m of the opinion that Anwar Ibrahim must be returned to parliament for the sake of democracy in Malaysia.

    Here’s the why.

I think we are all agreed that a 2-party system would serve the rakyat well by offering them alternatives to choose from.

A 2-party (coalition) system will only empower the rakyat and at the same time force both parties to be on their toes to exercise good governance and implement people-centric policies.

Previously, a vote for the opposition is an act of faith but since 8 March, with the PR governing 5 states, we now have the ability to see their capabilities at governing for ourselves.

100+ days is still not enough for the PR to show their capabilities since they are facing ‘sabotage’ and lack of cooperation from the federal government.

In order to truly appraise PR’s capabilities, they must be given a term or 2 at least, especially in ‘multi-racial’ states like Selangor, Penang and Perak.

Whether we love Anwar or loath him, there is no denying that he is the key to keeping the PR together. Looking at the PR side of personalities, there is no one else apart from Anwar Ibrahim who has the charisma and ability to keep the PR together.

It is for this reason that Anwar Ibrahim MUST be returned to parliament and allowed to keep his political career alive.

(of course there are other reasons as well, but I shall leave that for another day.)

It is the only way we can nurture the fledgling 2-party system until it is entrenched in our political system.

A paradigm shift had occurred on 8 March which can only be welcomed as good for the country so let us make this shift permanent.

I sincerely hope the 58,000 voters of Permatang Pauh will send Anwar Ibrahim to parliament for the sake of badly needed democracy on our behalf.

(sorry Dr Hsu for campaigning a bit here)

Anwar Ibrahim win in Permatang Pauh is never a problem’
Now that Puan Azizah has resigned and Anwar is sure to contest…why Dollah or Najib dare not resign and invite Anwar to contest in their safe nests??
After all….they want to get rid of Anwar..and prove he is a nobody.
What better opportunities for these two hypocrites to show Malaysians….what stuffs these UMNO leaders… are made out of?
Such cowards…keep bullying others and are daylight robbers…can only bluff UMNO members….no more true Malaysians.
More and more UMNO and BN members…..from all walks of life….resigned and join Anwar.
MCA had close to 2000 resigned at one go.. joined keDAILan…yet no news…but you bet…Saiful or that no good son-of-gun two timer…braggart…hollow man..Ezam.. talk…both will always be headline news.
    What shit papers we have.
    Come on Dollah….or Najib!!!
    Walk the talks!!
At least show your families..what type of man you are. …resign and challenge Anwar Ibrahim.
Many Malaysians want Anwar in as a Parliamentarian..so do I….but I know he can kill two or three useless UMNO black devilish scarecrows….with one shot!!
UMNO knows…that too….tand heir days are numbered. All their cunning tricks are out-dated….low class and will not work.
Malaysians are smart and united…cannot be fooled or scared off by big bullies….UMNO.. anymore. MIC.. Gerakan are dead!! MCA..the biggest sinners of all… can go to hell!! Good … MCA members…all should resign and let that rotten party go to hell..with those crooks. They keep selling their own race …for personal gains….exactly like UMNO. They should stop playing race and religion politics…25 years ago……but choose to support UMNO and continue.
They sold their own race…and that’s the lowest class of humans…one can be.
Ex MIC members showed what type of men they are!! A small party..yet send a powerful message to UMNO…and voters.
It is time MCA and Gerakan members..hang their heads low…humble themselves….resign and join People’s Party……..for the sake of your children and young Malaysians.
Do good for once in your lifetime!!!
Or else….forever be cured and spit upon…as sinful and corrupt politicians..
Even if you are a billionaire ..like Mahathir…no one will respect you…except idiots..and sadly…they are all sorts of idiots ….to make Malaysia.
So you devils..especially Mahathir…….enjoy your false respects you are getting now ..from half past sixes….and MCA/Gerakan….from half past sixes….of Malaysian Chinese.

    Dr Hsu,

I never buy the publicity that UMNO will “ever” reform even if the sun rises in the North and sinks in the south.

I am certain your definition or mine is different from UMNO’s version of reform. Their definition of the word meant more “superiority”, more arrogant and winning back Malay support, more conspiratory and more cunning. So you see the publicised word, “reform” means differently from our sense. Don’t ever get conned by these creatures of darkness.

    pohwatchdog,

Any fool knows what you try to imply.

I think in the first instance, Pak Lah should rightfully decide a date later than 8th of March 2008 so to enable Anwar to contest. This would earn him a good impression and at the same time, would not made Anwar so ‘desperate’ as you try to imply.

Pak Lah has announced to the world that Anwar is ‘insignificant’ as far as he is concerned and yet we can see so many obstacles facing by Anwar to be become someone ‘legal’ in Malaysian politics. Anwar is not even holding a formal position in PKR and Pakatan Rakyat, and yet he can be so popular among rakyat. Why?

I think many of us are not ‘die hard’ fans of Anwar, but we share the same inspirations with him. That’s why we are willing to give him space to prove himself that he is worth our trusts on him. By doing that, we do not pledge our ‘allegiance’ to him forever. We are not ‘blind’ here in supporting any Tom, Dick, Harry.

All we aspire is to have a fair and equitable society. So, come on, give Anwar a chance to prove what he says he can deliver.

    pohwatchdog,

You miss the point. Whether we have high impressions of PR or not is irrelevant. It is about keeping the PR together to curtail UMNO/BN’s arrogance.

Anwar’s political survival will ensure that the PR stays together long enough to ‘force’ change unto UMNO/BN.

Until good governance is a norm for Malaysia rather than the exception.

Unless you are an UMNOputra, I believe nobody wants UMNO/BN as they were before where good governance was non-existant, corruption rampant, etc.

By the same token, if PR were to take over the federal government and all states, and they become too powerful, that would be a bad thing too.

Its all about check and balance.

So long as we have 2 political entities of near equal strength fighting for office, we the rakyat holds the power to decide who to give it to.

This can only be a good thing for the country and its people.

Jeff….MCA ..MIC and Gerakan….all supported a racialist country. All supported UMNO. All are acting….not sincere to unite Malaysians.
Like I said..first 25 years…understood….as UMNO excuse was each race takes care of it’s own race…and the Malays needed special help.
These were clearly stated in the Constitutions…….for 25 years only…so no arguments about it.
Then UMNO created the ‘have ” and ‘have none” for the Malays…under Mahathir so clear..to divide and rule.
Then UMNO… demanded this and that..to be extended…and BN keep supporting..
So we can conclude UMNO under Mahathir.. kept playing race and religion…enriching UMNO party and themselves and cronies. ….never Malays or Malaysians at all. Mahathir also showed….as if UMNO owns the country..do as they like… break all laws…steal .cheat …rape….even kill…as we all Malaysians have all seen.
Yes Mahathir made so many UMNO chosen members happy…became their hero….supported by BN…and so….the country have citizens…so widely divided. They do not care. They are not politcians. They are rouges!!
Yes….UMNO under Mahathir have twisted helping Malays….infact using them… so cunningly.. ….to fool all….behaving like a King.
Yes…UMNO members were all taken to fight for riches..based on …who you know..and not what you know.
On that sense…the Ali-Baba business became more and more stronger..thus weakening Malaysia.. .but benefiting some Chinese. So the races are getting wider and wider separated. This pleases UMNO and BN. We are the suckers!! They got so flthy rich…own so much properties…dressed themselves with all sorts of titles…to add one more sting to Malaysians…to
make Malaysians be afraid of them…looking so successful and different.
Actually..most are idiots…taxi drivers…farmers….actiors..with little or no educations.
It is rule of the jungle and puppets to a self appointed King.
And ..yes..you are right…some non-Malays took advantage…to get rich that way too ….and vigorously supported MCA and Gerakan….MIC..whose politicians feel so proud..to enrich themselves …supporting dirty race and religion politics…instead of opposing all these…or pull out from BN…for they know..it will ruin the country and make their own race suffer…yet they closed two eyes. Ling Liong Sik..of MCA and Lim Kheng Yiak of Gerakan are like competing….who can best to be Mahathir’s favourite puppet..
Around 20 years ago…Malays were awakened..very united to get rid of UMNO…knowing Mahathir have fooled them…..making them suckers.
Non Malays were sleeping and minding their own businesses…..so used to suffer in silence…and being satisfied…if they can make life keep going …without complaining.
These are the BN members. The non Malays…espscially the Chinese…never stop …supporting DAP….until… Lim Kit Siang did made terrible mistakes…. teaming up with PAS..under Mahathir’s last election.
Had they not term up……at least Penang would have gone to DAP….5 years ago.
So Lim Kit Siang sometimes do behave too smart and stubborn. Since then…he has changed for he better.
To conclude…jeff….non-malays are selfish…cunning..and not so serious about politics…until now. They are serious about being Malaysians…and let others do the dirty jobs.
    But this have change also.
Right now….it is the UMNO members..that are really racialists and also… fanatics on religion. Most can be seen in Kelantan and Trengganu…Perlis.
Again..things are changing for the better..as Malaysians of all races….are changing so fast..knowing so much…and stop listening to UMNO and BN bullshits…but read from internet…through their educated children and relations…messages past on….and on…so almost whole country….knows UMNO is not sincere….BN are useless puppets.
    That’s the present situation.
However…one can see one or two idiots …still talking cock and bull…..like pohwatchdog.
But then…as long as there is only one or two..lets treat them like clowns…entertaining us….and if I am in no good mood..I do let go steam to him….many times..yet he never learn.
So he is a nut. What can you do with nut?
Or is he trying to get attention….from us…by keep on irritating us?

The sooner they differentiate from fact n fiction in Malaysia history created by umno, stop believing that they are the only race as Malaysians, then only they can progress like the rest of us. Majority of these MCA or MIC members are manderin -ed or tamil-ed folks, they are being brain-washed n manipulated by those cunning Chinese n Indian Datuk who are playing them as “suckers’ in Malaysia, continue to promise them all sorts of contracts in return for supports, also using the “fear” and “intimidation” card on these decent hard working average Malaysian folks for voting them to have a stable government.

The sad part is that these components parties like Gerakan and MCA still want to compaign for the BN candidates to be elected. They do not seems to learn or is it because of personal interest involved? If they are sincere to want to serve their members, then they should do a referendum to see what their members want ie. to get out or stay with BN. This will settle the issue once and for all.

I agree with Ooi that ‘referendum’ should be held by MCA, Gerakan, MIC so to determine whether these parties should remain or pull out from BN. In fact, I raised this point before.

But even without referendum, the top leaders of all these parties should have known the general feeling of their respective members through grassroots leaders and their ‘think-thank’ like SEDAR.

Instead of ‘believing’ the general sentiments of members to pull out of BN, these top leaders, who sit in the Central Committees, choose to ignore or brush aside such sentiments.

Maybe we will see these parties deserted by their members and left the top leaders still on top there still ‘berangan-angan’ that their parties still represent their communities. We can see such trend is on going from the mass defection of Tan Yee Kew and friends to PKR recently.

Won’t be surprise, we will see such kind of ‘exodus’ leading to by-election of Permatang Pauh.

I have a dream… just like a fool. What can we do? Just our vote wisely. We want a better Malaysia that ensure stability, harmony and capable to overcome any global economy
    challenge.

Don’t just because of one or two misleading one, we sacrifice the whole of the BN. Just look what they have done to a poor camera woman. Is it what we want if power go to this group of people? Wake up… bread and butter issues, hardship facing by people and many..many more need our commitment to overcome it. In this coming of 51st Merdeka spirit, let work together to make Malaysia a place that can call our home.

Sometime is good to have fools around to make use realise even fools have the same dream. But it seems our common dream will not be realised as Pak Lah and his dream team are too pre-occupied with sodomy case.

How to take care of bread and butter issues then. Even dog left with no bone to chew. How sad.

I think there’s almost no chance of Gerakan walking out of BN.

Gerakan leadership is too firmly ensconced in their comfort zone of BN membership. After March 8, they still see fit to kow tow to Umno.

By now, Gerakan is no longer dreaming that they can reform BN from within. Now, it about power, positions and money from the Umno gravy train just like MCA.

However, I grant this to Gerakan – the leadership is less lapdog than MCA.

Gerakan members must take matters into their own hands and ‘gerak’ out of the party to PKR or DAP.

Just look at PPP, a party hanging on pathetically to BN’s coat tails more than 20 years after losing their relevance and usefulness to Umno.

Will Gerakan end up like PPP? Will it find its lost dignity and founding roots and do the right thing?

What do you say. Dr. Hsu?

    Monk,

Can you possibly pointed out the reason(s) why MCA, MIC and Gerakan still so ‘loyal’ to BN?

Outsider like me really can understand these parties still hinge so tightly with Umno…..even though their grassroots want their parties to be out of the ‘titanic’.

    Why ask monk..as me la.
Firstly..if they pull out…where to go?
They are known as balls carriers to UMNO.
And they cannot humble themselves….to accept truths.
Secondly… all top leaders of those parties are corrupted. So which party from People’s Party group want to have their party names..linck to them?
Thirdly…it is not MIC..MCA ..or Gerakan do not want to pull out. It is no one wants them….at
Fourthly…if those parties pull out and form…as one..as oppositions to UMNO…they will never succeed…to try…to be the middle man of People’s Party and UMNO. If they succeed…they become.. all powerful and Malaysians will never accept that.
    People’s Party will exposed them.
So…there is only one solution….all members resign..and join the oppositions.
Let those dreamers of few…left in those parties…to play acting…just like UMNO…and all hope …Malays will support UMNO…to save them again.
That’s why so many of them resigned…knowing…their parties are finished…as UMNO is getting weaker by the weeks.
    Correct monk?

    Confused…

Are you all saying Barisan Nasional is bad?

Poor Tunku Abdul Rahman and those who believed in BN spirit.

Myself see nothing wrong with BN. Only that it suffer like the NEP – objective good but mismanaged and misused. Why not you all scold and kick the backsides of the abusers?

Why not look for good ones in BN to keep BN as strong as Pakatan Rakyat must have a strong opponent – otherwise any one of the parties in PR might become like UMNO drunk with power. Then kaput your vision of 2 party system.

What are we fighting for? Fighting for one man survival. Fighting for two party system.

What we need is BN to reform, reorganize and regenerate new ideas for a better and united Malaysia? Tommorrow might be better. Why we must divide just for the sake of one man dream?

Our country need direction and focus to make Malaysia a place called home for all Malaysians.
BN need hope just like PR need hope. We love BN
for be able to keep Malaysia a stable, harmony and prosperous for the last 50 years. Or else we might not have the opportunity to give our view through internet today. What is right or wrong? Let us make our choice rationally. We need to be objective and rational . It is not right to critize those on the opposite view. BN had been gentleman to accept defect graciously. PR should carried out their alternative programmes to uplift
    people qualities of life.

    Dear ELLY,

Let me try to explain to you what is wrong with the BN of today.

As you put it “Poor Tunku Abdul Rahman and those who believed in BN spirit” and “Why not look for good ones in BN to keep BN as strong ……” which is a false assumption since the BN is still as strong as ever, just not as strong as before.

The predecessor to BN was the Alliance comprising of UMNO, MCA & MIC. Then they had to show a united front to the British otherwise the British would not grant independence. It was necessary then and it worked as independence was granted in 1957.

As early as 1969, this concept of multi-racial rule was challenged by DAP and Gerakan, formed 2 years earlier on the concept of non-sectarian politics. ie. race has no bearing in politics but rather any Malaysian, irrespective of race and religion, can prosper and thrive in a free market system but with government intervention when necessary, based on needs and not on ethnicity.

Unfortunately for the country, the events of May 13 scuttled whatever chance of non-sectarian politics to take root. We now know that the riots were not a spontaneous reaction from the ordinary Malays but were rather engineered by the right wing of UMNO.

So the priority at that time changed to that of stability and unification. Gerakan decided to join the Alliance for the sake of stability and hence the BN was born.

The BN was supposed to operate on the principle of fairness between the different races but unfortunately over time this fairness became less and less and it became more of a 1 party entity, UMNO.

To cut a long story short, the BN of today is only looking out for the interests of UMNO and the other parties as an after thought. And not all Malays benefit from UMNO/BN as many Malays are still poor today whilst those with connections to the UMNO elite thrive.

The BN has become ‘bad’ because it is now acting like a private club with total disregard for ordinary Malaysians.

On top of that, UMNO/BN has over the years turned our civil institutions like the judiciary, police force, etc, into tools for their own use!

Also think of the massive corruption that is going on at tax payers expense. When there are still poor people struggling to survive in this country, they go and spend billions to buy submarines, for what? Worse still this purchase was done in a dubious manner.

Haven’t you realized that each time our government does something or builds something, someone with connection is lining his pocket at our expense?

There are many many more examples of the wrong doings of the BN government but my fingers can’t type that long.

Changing the people within the BN to regain the spirit is no longer an option for the rakyat. Primarily because we can’t do it anymore from within.

The elites of UMNO now treats the BN, the government, civil service and other institutions as its very own. They change the rules to serve their means so I’m afraid ELLY, the old BN as you understand it is lost forever.

There is no other way for the good of this country unless we dismantle or reduce to size the BN. They cannot be allowed to continue treating this country as their own playground to do as they like without regards for the ordinary Malaysians of all races.

I engage the Gerakan people not because I believe in the BN but because many are my friends and thought it only fair to give them a chance to do the right thing and leave the BN.

If they won’t listen then I will be opposing them soon, friendship aside!

Dear ELLY, I do not know your background but please put yourself in the shoes of those poor Malaysians who only ask for a fair government to protect them and grant them what is rightfully theirs. No more no less.

Please open your eyes and mind.

    romerz,

Well said the above. It is hard to talk sense to these people that BN will never be reformed with UMNO practising racist policy.

What Umno have in mind is like, just imagine, a 5kg cake, Umno must take big part of it, say 70% and 30% allocated to others which include common Malays like Anak Malaysia and Muda.

But over time, since they are so overzealous with the sodomy case, the 5kg cake shrink to 1kg. Then they say Umno must take 80% since the cake has shrank to 1kg and I need to support my cronies so to maintain their lifestyle.

So, how can you change their mentality if you want them to reform? The stability and harmony that you guys insist are only ‘superficial’ one, and not ‘real’.

If Pakatan Rakyat aspires to turn this superficial one to real, why can’t you people support PR? The issue here is not of Anwar, but PR.

All in all, at least you guys still treasure stability and harmony. We still have some common ground here.

“When the cake shrinks who do you think will be asked to sacrifice their share first?”
