Run and chase

A Most comical game of MP chasing

Malaysian politics is getting comical.

First, BN bundles 49 MPs to AUstralia China India Taiwan on short notice on an escape mission agricultural tour. This , according to the opposition PR, is to prevent PR from reaching those frogs MPs that are ready to, according to PR, jump cross over.

This escape trip study tour has of course become the laughing stock of international media –  even New York Times talked about this.. But this is Malaysia. Everything also ‘boleh’, and this idea probably is as innovative as that of a 6 year old..

Now, there is another comical twist. PR, according to Malaysiakini, is sending 4 high ranking members over to Taiwan to chase   meet these MPs. How are they going to meet these 49 since there will be so many spies eyes watching ??????

These MPs will probably be eating , merrying and drinking accessing Malaysiakini.com from Taiwan, and this news will probably propel the organisers of this trip  to plan again. Do not be surprised if tomorrow morning, you see all these 49 MPs being bundled off again to Siberia, on a hastily arranged study of ‘glacier movement”,   “ice formation, Russian ice skating,    er, er, er bear rearing.

Then, maybe these 4 from PR will pursue again. And the MPs will take off again……….

A suggestion to BBC: Instead of sending them to Taiwan, perhaps a safer place would be Kamunting, where they can tour and learn first hand about ISA detainees…..It would be better still to keep them there until the next election is called, so there will be absolutely no chance of them crossing over!!

Yes Doc, I happen to think what Umar says is plausible. Refer to Justin’s mention of the red herring.

(I’ll email it to you tonight if you haven’t seen it yet)

By the same token Umar, won’t our talking about it “blow the cover?”

Still pretending its a study tour ah? This is hilarious. Do people vote their MPs in to take holidays at their expense?

As for PR sending MPs to chase them, I’m not sure that’s the best strategy. Why not just wait for them to come back? The Taiwan journalists are going to have a field day!

Anwar Ibrahim knows in and out of Umno and BN. He has his plan for sure.

But this chasing game is really a laughing stock to the rest of the world. Malaysia really boleh.

If such a game will make Malaysia a better place, why not?

Perhaps what DAI meant was the winning of the next General Election being decided on 16 Sept??

He confused and scared so many in UMNO that they start to call Uncle and get TDM back into the party to save them from DAI.

When TDM is accepted back into the fold of UMNO on 15 Sept then by 16 Sept most Malaysians decided that they will vote for BR so that those bigots will never form the Govt again!

Thank you TDM for making all the triggering of these mind-shift on 16 Sept!!

We call our representatives, such as ADUN and MPs, Yang Berhormat, which is the English equivalent “the honourable”.

These should be people with dignity, people with brains, people who are wise and worldly.

What this episode shows sadly is that our representatives are like a bunch of kids, or being treated like a bunch of kids.

And these are the people who are deciding our country’s fate, our future and our children’s future… I really do not want to think more about it.

Politics in malaysia is so dirty and so corrupted that very few good people come forward to serve . Most of those who joined politics are people with ulterior motives, “kaki bodek”, and those who are chosen to stand for elections are usually those with a leash around their necks.

These MPs should have stood up and said that they have a right not to join in any of these circus tours.

Until and unless the system is cleansed of all the dirt, we will be getting followers ‘leaders’ of such calibre.

indeed it’s comical… but i think the team of 4 is also very symbolic…. BN is so disjointed currently… they will panic a little more (even if the 4 don’t even get close to finding any of the MPs)… a brilliant move either way

    A) “Now that Mahathir is joining back UMNO something will happen. Watch out.”

Like Muhammad Ali coming back to fight for the Heavyweight Title. A bankruptcy of ideas, talents + will.

    B) “First, BN bundles 49 MPs to AUstralia China India Taiwan on short notice on an escape mission agricultural tour.”

Band (of thieves) on the run.

    C) “Most of those who joined politics are people with ulterior motives, ‘kaki bodek’………. ”

While most countries cultivate the “Can Do Must DO” spirit into their youth, in Malaysia it is “Not what you know but who you know.”

Mr Flip Flop I thought that applies to Badawi only !
Now it seems we have another Flip Flop !

Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim gave conflicting signals about his planned move to topple the government
He was initially quoted as saying that his self-declared Sept 16 deadline could be postponed but then changed tack telling reporters it was -very much- on track.
Anwar acknowledged there were -technical problems- but said he would deal with it.

-If need be, I’ll fly to Taiwan,- he said.
Don’t forget to bring Saiful along !
Personally, I don’t think he has the numbers. Is it a bluff? People will question his credibility if Sept 16 comes and goes. Is it just a tactic to weaken Umno? Or his personal agenda?
Even if he has the numbers, it might not be a strong and stable government; it might be fragile. There will be political instability, as BN will never allow them to simply take over,

Four PKR leaders will fly to Taiwan tomorrow to meet Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs that Pakatan Rakyat (PR) claims have already agreed to defect to the opposition coalition.

I hope its the other way round , perhaps BN will have four additional MPs after this trip .

Seems like nothing can keep them away from each other. It must be the farm visits and fruit picking and tasting exercise 🙂

Looks like they really miss each other ! Are they really visiting farms and picking fruits or is it they are picking and harvesting $$$$$$$$$ ? hahahaha
One never knows , anything can happen in this politics , Malaysian style !!!!

Looks like PR will have four less MPs when they return !!!wakakaka
