The safest place in the world

The prompt release of Tan Hoon Cheng, the Sin Chew journalist, is a victory of sort for the people of Malaysia.

Now the government is trying to find a way out by saying that she is detained under ISA to protect her against certain threat.

This reminds me of those goons  that ask for protection money from business owners  to protect thier businesses.

Well, politicians can be very naive. They behave sometimes like the ostrich that bury its head in the sand… By doing so, the ostrich thought no one will be able to see it.

Malaysian Insider gave an inside news that politicians and government officials have been pressuring the PM to release the reporter. TO release her in less than 24 hours is a victory for the civil society; but work is not done yet. There are still RPK and Teresa Kok.

We must therefore keep the pressure on our MPs and DUns and NGO leaders to continue voicing out. Members of political parties, continue to voice out to your leaders; so that they in turn can pressure the PM.

The threat to the reporter apparently dissipated within a short time. And we must also thank the govenrment for protecting her by putting her inside a lock up and sleep on concrete floor. (Malay sianinsider  report) Jail is indeed the safest place to protect a person.

    DR Hsu,

By Einstein logic, the reporter now is in mortal danger as conditions have not changed a bit.

These people cannot die even if you chop off their heads simply bec they don’t depend on their heads to live, just like cockcroaches!!

News is coming out that PM Badawi knew of the arrests as early as last night when UMNO ministers met with him to tell him of the anger they will surely face with these arrests.

And I had given the PM the benefit of the doubt that he had a renegade home minister. Both are bloody idiots!

What a hopeless bunch of donkeys. No hope la for this country as long as these donkeys hold all the key ministries.

Sometime I can’t understand these politcians, on one hand, they denied they read blogs, but on the hand, they say RPK offended Malaysians.

So, which is which now? Maybe as you said, ostriches choose to dip their heads in the sands for something they choose not to see as problems. Then why not they learn from ostrich not to read RPK articles at all. Then not offended, no ISA arrest and so on.

On lighter note, I wish you and all guys here :-

Happy Mid Autunm Festival to all, RPK & Teresa Kok….Hope both of you safe and sound. Prison the safest place? Definately NOT. We want freedom.

Kodomo Lion saying that Tan Hoon Cheng is detained under ISA to protect her against certain threat. This is the most funniest joke I ever heard of …………..Ha Ha Ha. I would like to congratulate him because he has just defeated our Samy Vellu to become the most funniest comedian in Malaysia.

RPK was just begging to be detained under ISA.

I think people should be happy he was able to get what he wanted.

I read how some people suggested, why didn’t they get some imams to talk to the guy about Islam first before detaining him. I almost gagged on my coffee. 🙂

We are not talking about just any individual here, but the great RPK. He is above the law, although I guess not above the ISA.

He got what he was aiming for, he should be glad. Now he can be a martyr and be a rallying call to make people forget about Sept 16. 😉

Be wary of lodging a Police report in case you are robbed, lest you would be arrested and detained in the lockup so that your own safety is protected.

We have reached Vision 2020 in respect of our leaders’ visionary brain power, far ahead of conventional mode of logical thinking.

Yes, RPK is a fighter. In fact, the government has fell into his trap by arresting him under ISA. So, more things to see on how is the effect of falling into such trap. Even Imam failed to ‘tame’ RPK, would you think those people can concur him?

As for Teresa Kok, she did not ‘beg’ for a stay in lock-up. Gomen was not ‘gentleman’ to treat a lady like that for detaining against her will.

RPK’s cult status has been enhanced by his arrest since he himself predicted that he would be arrested. He is playing a dangerous game but then, who dares wins !

As for Teresa Kok, I’d like to share this with readers in case you are not aware of what she is in the limelight for :

“Masjid Kinrara, the mosque which is embroiled in an azan controversy, said DAP parliamentarian Teresa Kok was not involved in the petition to lower the volume of its loudspeakers.

Steven Ee, the person who presented the mosque with the petition on behalf of the residents in the area also said that the allegations made by Khir Toyo that the handing over of the petition was instigated by a Pakatan party was untrue. Ee said that the petition was his own initiative.”

The petition was to lower the speaker volume for the lectures (not the Azan). This is a crucial piece of information. The reasoning being that the lectures go on for a long time thus causing a disturbance to the residents. Nowhere was it requested for the Azan call to be shut down.

    (a) Teresa Kok was not involved in this
    (b) Utusan Malaysia reported that she was behind this
    (c) Khir Toyo further instigated the issue

Therefore, she is a threat to national security. Somehow, I have lost the plot somewhere.

I would like to compare the behaviors of different leaders during the events of the last few days, namely Lim Guan Eng and Koh Tsu Koon. There is a difference in style that make one endear to the people and the other a… not so endering.

First, I have to declare I do not like Lim Eng Guan too much because of his rabble rousing behavior.

    Koh Tsu Koon’

Make press statement – from NST

Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon yesterday called on the government to either amend or abolish the Internal Security Act.
He said the act painted a negative perception of the country to the outside world, adding that it was also irrelevant, considering the country had a sound judicial system.

……”The minute we heard about the reporter’s detention, I called the prime minister and his deputy to express Gerakan’s disappointment.”

    Lim Guan Eng

    Made press statements

    Called family to comfort
    Called family to update info
    Visit family

Ahem! who do you vote the next time

It was a big insult to our intelligence to give reason that Ms Tan was protected by police under ISA.

But, come to think of it, what to do? Malaysia does not emphasize on meritocracy.

It is time for them to pack up and bid sayonara good bye to us. Till we meet again, tata.

RPK is above the law? sure, if he is an UMNO member and strong supporter of the powers-that-be. these are the 2 conditions for a mortal in malaysia to be above the law. anything else, is subject to the law as interpreted by the powers-that-be.
dont believe me? asked the ‘irrelevant” judge.

It’ fine YAB Lim Guan Eng cheers on the victory of the rakyat on the release of MS Tan but to me, it’s just the beginning of the battle we are going to combat for the total abolishment of these archaic and draconian, uncivilized laws which are totally irrelevant to be survived any longer in this modern Malaysian land!

Do we still have the communists whom the government claimed to be the enemies of the Country, or rather enemy to their supremacy?! Do we have terrorists like Osama dwelling here with his gangs underground active?! Unless they are invited, they are all non exist in our peaceful land!

Who created all those chaos that the ‘special branch intelligence’ ought to have given the report to the sleepy goat and he clumsily resorted to punch the button send and all the wrong messages had been sent to trigger such an untoward and undue actions as if the needs to deploy missiles and the whole army maneuvered!! It’s such a hoax and even the US was also ‘tak boleh tahan’ and summoned our nin-com-poop to their office for a grill!

Jack the Lad, our most mischievous Home Minster who used to preach on religious issues and piety, the one who accused that both Raja Petra and Teresa Kok had been detained because of committing blas-phemous to Islam has found no vivid ground to defense his naivety, in a stupor state of mind murmured he was kept out from the police actions and that he was unaware of the blunders that had been caused!

Two wrongs cannot make one good and instead of poking more ridicule to impress the public that they were doing the right thing, they are mature and professional not behaved like mule, might as well they honestly and piously listen to the rakyat, know what we need, know why we are angry and not happy, know why we are so revolting in contrast to our mild and peaceful behaviours last time! And I assure, they will not have to behave like ‘moyek kena belacan’ and not even a single apology is needed in future!! Laughing stock world class, verdict of the US!

    Step back and think.
    Who created this monster?
Anyone here talking voted for UMNO or BN?
This is the holy month for each individual to know what is exactly right or wrong.
So glad the Law Minister and a MIC man..also a minister…spoked out against ISA.. strongly and clearly.
Gerakan Koh is still twisting and turning with his comments on ISA. This man is totally gone case…a clear.. balls carrying UMNO man.
So back to our small group.
Declare yourselves…if you voted for UMNO and BN!!’
You have created the monster…why complaint…when you should be admitting to us…you are wrong and will change.
If you do not do that in this holy month…then you are a real hypocrite…a low down scums of the earth..trying to past the buck to UMNO and BN..when you have a hand in the making of this monster.
But for those that voted against UMNO and BN…you are infact..walking the talks with your messages. Be proud and happy.
Thee are few scums here…who are pro government… MCA and Gerakan…confusing young Malaysians.
If the caps fits you…wear it.
Yes…I prefer to walk than talk….right now.
So far…very smart and peaceful walks….making UMNO mad cows…..more mad …cannot apply their planned sick moves further.
Police are getting more and more reasonable.
They have to serve their CEO…the PM…but is speaking out sincere advises to the public.
DAP is making a move…to get all parties..for or against to sit and talk ISA.
You will never know…..Dollah may suddenly change…for the better.

    Hi monsterball,

I used to be a Gerkaner, I paid my own subscription only RM2 per year and I now I am considering whether I should continue to waste my 2 dollar, though trivial but can still buy a 150gm groundnuts!

For your info, I pounded in not less than a dozen family votes to the rocket/PR alliance ballot box in 308 GE. Next GE, I will have confidence to help reap another 20 dozens more from my RA members to enjoy seeing the PR boat floats higher, the BN boat sinks deeper from the present capsized situation!

sorry to put on moderation mode. I put that on not because of anything sensitive , but when i receive comments that are targetting fellow commentators with attacks and name calling. It is to prevent what has happened to happen once again…and I dont like to do this, because I have to spend more time which I can otherwise use for more productive uses. And I am sick of appealing because some just do not seem to understand my appeals.

When my computer is on, i will take off the mode.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
