The passing of a good friend and leader

I was shocked to learn of the accidental death of my good friend and Gerakan leader, Dr S. Vijayaratnam, around noon today. I could not believe my ears when a mutual friend called and informed me .

It was just yesterday I met him and spoke to him. Everything was so normal.

The late Dr VJ, as he was fondly by his friends and comrades, was a very  approachable leader, and had been Gerakan National vice president for many years.  . His uncle was none other the late Rajaratnam , Singapore Foreign Minister and one of its founding fathers. His father, the   late Dr S. Seevaratnam, was the DAP MP for Seremban Barat in 1969.

Despite coming from such an illustrous family, Dr VJ was a very humble person. He had never failed to help anyone seeking his advice. He was also a staunch believer of Gerakan’s ideology and  was a prolific writer and frequently contributed to the letters column of the various National english papers commenting on current issues and policies.

I am sad that such a nice person has so suddely left us , and would like to offer my heart-felt condolences to his all family members.

I saw the news on the internet this morning. It is so sad to see the passing of Sonny. We last met a few months back in a dinner. Talking of Gerakan.
He always make it to the old classmate dinners, whenever he can – which is most of the time. He always has a wry sense of humour.

I am from Seremban and this morning I drove past his clinic building. Everything seem so normal, yet barely 24 hours early, it was a scene of tragedy. So sad that a dedicated politician like Dr VJ had to go like this. My condolence too.

Reading through the write up and the comments made, I just wonder and wondering if one of the BN minister who is corrupted to the core died today, would anyone say good things about him or deserves the above comments.

If a corrupted BN MP dies today, I would clap my hands and say one less to bother with cause I am tired of hearing and reading of his/their wrong doings.

The good die young but the corrupted ones live on to trouble mankind of their evil deeds. What a wicked world we are in especially in Malaysia.

Yes in Malaysia, has the corrupted ministers out numbered the honest ones. Has anyone taken a census.

while we all mourn the lost of Dr VJ, I can’t stop but pity Dr Hsu and his fellow members for having Huan Cheng Guan as the party’s vice president

This fella is Eunuch Koh’s man and is currently BN Backbencher’s office boy. He was the tour guide for BN MP’s trip to Taiwan

well by the way, he is easily spotted because he drives a black Ssanyong Rexton with his distinct mole on his forehead
