I’d mentioned before that in Malaysia when a certain type of service is privatise to a company, the agreement almost always benefitted the other party. To me this is ‘piratisation’ as if the govt of the day can offers such good monies to all those toll operators, why can’t they handle it themself ?

Why throw away good money as these businesses profits are guranteed by govt with funding from govt, allowed increases every few years, where on earth can anyone gets such a lucrative regulated deal, except in Malaysia.

This is simply because of no accountability and if I am not wrong, the agreement on the North South Highway with UEM was rammed through Parliament in 1988 while most of the elected MPs from the opposition was detained under ISA in Kamunting. I stand to be corrected if I’m wrong here.

So the ball is now in the court of MCA, MIC, PPP, Gerakan and also the East Malaysian BNs coalition parties to make a stand in correcting whatever damages done. Never ever compromise on issues link to privatisation as we are witnessing the making of billions yearly at the people’s expense. If the govt would have run it, the cost per KM would definitely be much much lower through ‘good management’ though.

Due to the greed of former MPs within the coalition of BN where they agreed to the privatisation of tolls, we are paying the high cost of using our own roads. Don’t blame Samy as he is just playing his rightful role then but blame the ‘grand master’ behind the scene that ‘concoct this money making deal’ that is taxing the rakyat’s till kingdom come.

ahoo. All these BN parties want a cut.
These leeches even take a cut off their own company. I mentioned before the old guards in The Star take 5% from Star as payment (for personal benefits not MCA benefits). What do you think they will do with public money.

The old guards in The Star were LLS’s people. This 5% number came from a high level MCA new guard. This guy was shocked by the audacity.

This country is run by pirates.

Hehe! you used the right word -PIRATISATION

Just a side note. The top student for O-in Singapore is Malaysian. She was from chinese primary in Subang. Seems 2nd top student in Singapore is also Malaysian.

We have good students in Malaysia. But they excel elsewhere.

We have discussed this subject to death. Just reviving some thoughts.

Great pictures Dr. They tell a thousand words. As I have said our media especially UM and Star are just BN controlled. And now you proved the point.
Just look at the Toll and IPP contracts. These guys can live for generations without lifting a finger. The hard earned rakyat money has been robbed by them in broad daylite. This is the result of BN elite group ruling the country. Who cares a damn of the rakyat as long as their pockets are full to the brim with $$$$$ for generations.

Thanks for highlighting this important issue of excessive profiteering by companies such as PLUS and other Toll operators. I had a chance to drive on Maju Expressway from OUG to KLCC. I paid RM 1.50 each way. The highway was brilliant and I dare say anyone using this highway do so with gratitude and happiness because the journey time gets reduced to only 15 minutes i/o the usual jam and crawl along federal expressway. PLUS owning the N-S highway and also the ELITE highway is another thing. They are robbing us blind. The toll is so so extravagant. Recently, I was in HK at the Jockey Club attending a wedding function. The Jockey Club is a RM 55 Billion T/o Organization, Profit from Operation is about RM 5 Billion per annum. They gave away RM 500 Million to charities every year and is HK’s highest tax contributor. How come PLUS is not doing enough philanthropy work? Stupid Organization. My point is PLUS should realize that the game is up and they better start to lower the toll tariffs or the anger from the Rakyat will eventually rise up at the coming GE13. If the toll is reasonable, I don’t think anyone using it will have any axe to grind.

Why work for your money ? when you can sign up to a political party (read UMNO) and then get a contract and sit on your ass collecting money till the end of Be End.

All the toll plaza’s in Malaysia should be demolished !!!…we have one too many in Malaysia…to be precise the most IN THE WORLD!!! Its outrageous!! Why are being burden like this? The BN regime led by the Mamak kutty who privatize this and others is responsible for this…we are in mess because of all this privatization by this BN pirates for their own pockets!!! Our country is wealthy enough to provide road built by the government for the people…but this was hijack and the people ended paying for this after privatizing !…The agreement done by the BN government with the toll concessionaires should be torn up and thrown to their faces! These bastards should in fact be arrested for cheating the Malaysian public all this years…! Lets vote in the Pakatan party to bring this country back to its track. The country have been badly mismanage and the wealth of this country have been siphon off by this BN party for the last 30 years without anyone stopping them. Its time we put a stop this.!!!
