Let the people decide, Perak!

perak-assmeby-under-a-treeassembly in session?First in the world

I have written last month before the change of government that Perak should go back to the people. ( read this).

I am still of the same opinion, and I have voiced out this opinion in meetings with members and leaders, that we must stand firm and urge both sides to come to a common understandings to go back to the people.

In the light of the curent development, I think the case for going to the people is even stronger.

    Dr Hsu,

This impasse must be untangled quickly and only the Sultan of Perak can do it. By allowing both sides to fight one another through the legal process it will long drawn and ugly. Perakians are hungry to go to the poll to exert their authority in this fiasco.

Will Gerakan stand by and watch while BN tramples on democracy in Perak and takes the country down the road to a police state? Where is the “conscience of BN” that Gerakan profess itself to be? By doing nothing, Gerakan is aiding and abetting Umno.

Is there nobody in Gerakan who can galvanize the members to call an EGM to take the party out of BN? Don’t expect your leaders to do anything, they are comfortable sucking up to Umno. Koh Tsu Koon loves to be photographed with Umno leaders.

Will Dr. Hsu take up the challenge or will he wait another 100 years for the party to change?

When I posted this post, i knew that people will question about Gerakan’s stand.

I have been consistently saying within the party, even in top level meetings, that we must support the notion that there should be a new state wide election, that the people should be the one to decide who should govern them.

If I have failed to convince them, it is not my lack of trying. I have been consistent in my stand, unfortunately, mine is only a lonely voice inside …

I have been consistent in my stand in this blog as well as what i voiced out in top level meetings and other private meetings between leaders…

    Dr. Hsu,

I appreciate and understand where you stand.

Most people, if I am not mistaken are asking that Gerakan as well as mca and other component parties to leave bn and become independent. This way, only than can umno really be frightened of what they have been doing.

As long as umno is in power with the help of the component parties, they will continue with what they are doing, irrespective of whether they are right or wrong.

From what you had expressed I see that Gerakan as a whole still thinks it is in their best interest to cling on to umno for their own selfish gain or truely for the rakyat sake.

NO EYE SEE really, we are really doomed!

The ironic truth is that Umno is not strong enough politically to face the elections alone. It needs the help of MCA, MIC, Gerakan and its other allies in East Malaysia to rule Malaysia.

Gerakan’s withdrawal from BN will send shock waves through the coalition. It can make a difference.

Dr. Hsu, I’m really disappointed with your response. You seem to be saying, “I’ve voiced out, what else can I do?” This is no better than Koh Tsu Koon issuing one of his powerless statements calling on the govt to do this and that like the recent call to re-negotiate with toll companies. Their real intended audience is the Gerakan members, not the govt.

    D. Hsu, I think you can do more than that. Election to the CWC has tamed your fire and mellowed your response. Is this the sort of half-baked democracy yo want you children to grow up in?

as late as 2 days ago, in a workshop meeting of many members, i am still asking gerakan to pull out from BN.

What i am saying above is that for this Perak issue, my stand has not be taken by the majority of leadership and i am only one vote in 30 plus..By the way, I am not in the CWC, i am only a CC member. ONly those selected by the president gets into the CWC which is the top managment committee.

Yes, i can quit and protest, but i have not reached my time frame and the time is not ripe yet…. NOt when I am starting to see some results among the grassroots.

ANd as i have promised in one of the earlier posts, I am not going into another argument about why not do it now.. I have explained a hundred times here, just look back ..

But in the grassroots,i can start to sense a strong frustration and many not seeing my points before is now starting to see my arguments.

In a slow but sure manner, grassroots are getting more and more fedup, and many of my views in this blog gets copied and sent via emails among them even without my knowledge. A good sign but it needs more time to be built into a torrent..

In an interview with an online paper last month, i have called openly for an EGM to let members decide for the course of the party… But the interview, for some reasons, have not come out and my friend the monk who arranged it had told me that it would come out after DPM took over…

I am doing my best within my time constrain, and as I said before, I am not a full time person in politics, otherwise i would have travelled up ad down to galvanise support… I am not a politician, just a voluntary social political worker… Who is trying in an amatuer way to bring a party out of a coalition…

And i have only limited resources… my own resources..

If i go now, it will be playing into proUMNO members’ gameplan, and earlier in one of the posts, A Branch chairman or what is heis name, commented that there is a plot within certain leaders to get rid of me by attacking me in this blog and pressing me to leave as soon as possible,, and this is certainly true, especially from those who do not want Gerakan to leave BN…. I know who the person behind this and i will not admit defeat and go before my timeframe is up…I am a stubborn person and will fight until all hope is lost…But sometimes we need stubbornness to galvanise our fighting spirits..

    Doc Hsu,

Indeed, if there is any change to happen, it has to come from within.

I admire your courage and tenacity to hang on in Gerakan. If only Gerakan has more members like you, it will still be relevant to us.

However, I’m sure that Chang Ko Youn is laughing all the way to the bank getting a free rid to power on UMNO’s coattail, even though he lost in last election.

If this is not a suppression of democracy and the will of the people, and if Gerakan members are still blind to this, blinded by the need to getting scraps of power from UMNO, I don’t know what else to make them see.

Gerakan has been much admired in the past as it represents the grassroots, the People’s wish. Now it is only representing its leader’s wish.

Throughout all these PR has never strayed from the law, YB Nga Kor Ming have also reiterated that the final call is still up to the Sultan, as he has the discretion to allow the dissolution of the State Assembly.

Rest assure PR will continue to resist within the boundaries of law to this theft of a legitimate state government by BeEnders.

    Some snippets from Malaysiakini:

…As the eager crowd listened to the speeches, little did they know that the group of unruly men who tried to block Mohd Nizar earlier had converged in a nearby coffeeshop.

Suddenly, at about 11am, one of the men at the coffeeshop pelted a projectile into the crowd, causing some members of the crowd to rush to the scene in an attempt to apprehend the assailant.

A short melee ensued. Bottles were broken, presumably to be used as weapons, while one of the unruly men tried to hit Pakatan supporters with a chair.

One of the unruly men was also heard screaming: “Ini tanah Melayu!”

Even though hundreds of police personnel were nearby, guarding the state secretariat building, none came to stop the scene from turning ugly….

This is the kind of BeEnd robber who robbed us Perakians of our state govt, with the police condoning the acts of these hooligans.

Everything that has happened shows the real ugly side of BN trying to hold on to power. Even the lawyers representing Zambry removed and crumpled one of the document submitted for the high court hearing. Gerakan should really take a stand on issues on justice and the way things are being done. I would agree that Gerakan should consider pulling out of the coalition, a Gerakan which pride itself of having educated members should not be associated with groups which would do whatever with the power vested upon them. Anyway nor should Gerakan join the Pakatan. That’s my opinion. Give us a third voice.

    Mar 03, 2009 @ 22:40:04

I have promised not to go into this again but just briefly i willanswer.

So far, everything i spoke in meetings have not be heeded.. But gerakan memebrs should be able to sense the change in the views of many memebrs who now believe that there is a role outside.

I have been fighting the war in my own way, thru the only mean that i know best, ie thru emails and internet.. even some veterans helped by redirecting emails to those that did not receive.

You should know that there are people, like one agent provocaetuer, who is consistent asking me to go out of Gerakan . their argument that I am a Gerakan memebr that is why I support BN. Which is nonsense. If I support BN, will I ask Gerakan to go out of BN?… So the logical thing is , this person is under order to twist and influence ohters to press me to go out of Gerakan, and by doing so, lessen the chance of Gerakan leaving BN , which may lead to many others smaller multiracial parties to follow suit.

Now , he is again trying to start a war…And i suspect, there are other agents who are his collaegues and cybertroopers doing the same thing..

And some , i have deteced , use different names to comment but same IP address. Do u know that if you use the same wireless modem, u will have the same ip addresses? And these are organised attacks..

    Thanks for your advice.

I said I am here because of someone. My ‘someone’ is not this someone who ran amok in this forum. Who is who is personal here?

What is the point of ‘swearing’? We are what we are and we are not we are not. If all criminal or crook ‘swear’, what for to have trials in courts?

By the way, just imagine if Malaysian courts lost their integrity and independence, then ‘swearing’ maybe the next best alternative. Only you Malaysians know what type of courts you have. I, being an outsider, better not to comment.

Some people just couldn’t change, just like your Umno and its goons. Perhaps is because of BTN that make them think ‘they are the best, Malaysia is theirs, no one can question them, etc, etc’.

To this someone, I can see some improvement in you. Your mouth smell nicer, lesser four letter words but ‘anger & hatred’ are still your killing points.

You are a mole, you are. You are not a mole, you are not. What for swearing? But, if indeed you are, then the best place to fit is hee’s backside. But, if you are not, then keep the mole with yourself, don’t show it to others.

    Dr Hsu,

Just stick on to your own principle. Be a thorn in the cc flesh and stand up for what is right and just on each and every occassion. It takes no strength at all to just quit BUT BUT it takes real guts and persistency to stay the course.

It is often said,… that it takes 99% of efforts to keep and nuture a customer but take only 1% effort to destroy all that was accomplished. We have had witnessed and known for ages what umno stands for all these years. What we have to do is to support all rational malays to stand up and take back this land together with others from those pirates and migrants from our neighbouring countries who wanted to be more malay’s than the local malays. We cannot allow this bunch of no brainers to run wild and cause untold damage to this beloved Malaysia.

Maybe for a start, Dr should encourage all of us to email all the CWC of gerakan and floods their blogsite with our messages that reflect what we have in mind. Let us fight them with words and all within the confine of law so as not to run foul of the law even though we al know that they are many sets of law in Malaysia. I agree with Doc Hsu’s line of logic.

He is the conscience within the “conscience” of BN.

Hopefully Gerakan will just be an independent conscience, then it would be more meaningful to the Rakyat.

Gerakan do have good and well trained people,
like their attack on the current Tourism exco for Penang, there could be some truth in it.

However, Gerakan fails in the BIG MATTER, and the BIG MATTER are of future and of national importance of our and our offsprings continuing being 1st class citizens of Malaysian.

We do not want to see our institutions, the Judiciary, the Legislature, the Monarchy, the Police, the Election Commision, the Anti-Corruption Commission all raped by the Executive just to maintain their minority (at least in Perak) power over the state.

If Gerakan CANNOT make the BIG DECISIONs, please make way for others who can.

Gerakan has but subjugated themselves to UMNO by their own greed of power and position.

Get back to your roots and fight for your grassroots !!

Doc Hsu could be the next LCE and indeed what you write (blog) here can and already have powerful effects amongst the grassroots.

Better than your leaders, like KTK, who can only issues press statements stating the obvious that my 2 year old daughter also knows how to do. But to this day, we never know what is the principles behind the man called KTK, except that he supports BeEnd and is subservient to UMNO.

My simple plan is to voice out and influence the mindsets of ordinary members , so that slowly but surely a certain culture forms; and be an example myself of a member who dares to challenge the existing thinking of the top leadership, and cannot be bought with posistions and other offers.

A person who voices out the heretic views . It can be lonely in the CC and sometimes, on many occasions, I have even told my fellow friends that supported me that i feel like just giving up and fade away, for that would be the easy way to do.

If anyone of us have a hidden agenda, it will show up somehow somewhere in our writings. Keep on writing guys but stay away from personal attacks. We have too many mess in Perak now so stay focus on that topic.

M&M, I don’t understand your logic. Do you admit that money and big sums were use to entice the frogs to change parties? If so, then BN is corrupted. Secondly, do you admit that PR has the majority votes at the GE12 in Perak state? If so, why is BN trying to use the backdoor to hijack the state? Do you admit that the Speaker is within his rights to convene the emergency sitting? If so, how come the State secretariat blocked the sitting? Do youa admit that BN will never want a by-elections in Perak? If so, who is cheating who? All Dr. Hsu and others are trying to do is state the obvious “go back to the Rakyat” and see who should run the state? QED.

Imagine, a company with 59 employees, then one day, a few employees who had connection with police ask the police to bar 28 employees from entering the premise of the company, (during office hours), while these 28 employees were still legitimate employees, they had neither resigned or under any police investigation or break any laws !!!
    Another new records for Bolehland!!

If you have watched Valkyrie and understood the historical events behind the story, you would have know what I mean.
I am not sure what Dr Hsu is doing. Heck, just as I am not sure what Karpal is doing sometimes. But guys, we must have an objective.
In that show, One prominient politicians in the circle says rhetorically that

“We should go to see Hitler and ask him to give up His power for the sake of Germany”

Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg replied

You take away Hitler, then what?

I respect your decision and principle. My question is “Then What?” Do examine the objectives and justifying the means of acheving
I hope that you know what are doing. You see Pakatan Rakyat Perak are doing the right things in convening the assembly.
I am sure Tsunamis are coming and this time, like Red Sea, it swallow up the Egyptians and the Pharoch.
I sincere hope that Hsu would stand on the right side when the turn of tides comes.

BN is waiting to be implode. Every component parties are eyeing each other, seeing who will make the vital move. Tsu Koon is calculating now. Gosh, I have been speaking too much…….

Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg said

I don’t wanna just make a point. It must succeed! Voila, Valkyrie!

    Any Stauffenberg around here?

    Dear Dr. Hsu,

I believe your “Simple Plan” will work….

Voice out and voice out often — people will hear it

Speak out and speak out continuouesly — people will listen, hopefully…

I meant the PR reps were big liars simply accusing of the unreasonable offers wthout basis. The PKR reps will jump to joy even if 200K is offered, cut the crap of ideals to change.
It is clear that BN is the one have the extra 3 independent support, thus PR cant take the defeat suddenly, sore loser thus want to take back by hook or by crook. The Speaker is obviously biased against BN, what motion when they insist Nizar is still the MB. Umno corrupt is unquestionable. In a nutshell what i am saying is most politicians are the same whether they are fr BN or PR – selfish and dirty.
Thailand changed their PM so many times without election, Bush became President even he lost the popularity vote, Gloria became the PM the same way too. Previously Terengganu & Perlis dec by the Sultan was not questioned by Sultan or even the initial stage at Perak when Pas is the minority. Look at the larger picture and be fair instead of blaming everything on BN just bcos of their darkside instead of the good ones. There is never a perfect govt.

In addition, who started the backdoor game first? Anwar did it way back in 90s when he bot 2 Aduns fr PBS in Sabah, not to mention his lies of 16/9.

    Hahaha monk,

I only noticed now, you also start with M also. I am sure you are not disgusting, just disgusted. I can understand why you are ‘disgusted’ as so many people don’t give morality a damn like you and me.

Before I realized, another one start with M. Not one M, but MM some more.

This M is like a watchdog name poh, who apparently a minority who justify the act of their political pirates in Perak. Hope they can be rehabilitated after sometime in this forum.

One thing good about this MM or M&M is that he (or she?) agreed “Umno corrupt is unquestionable”. At least something.

But his (or her?) statement “The Speaker is obviously biased against BN” is something quite normal. Just look around, Speaker of your Parliament is obviously biased against PR also? Sort of a tooth for a tooth, no?

This MM should carry a mirror along wherever he or she goes, just in case he or she goes hay wire.

One who have morals does not keep lying…denying…apologizing when been told…and start all over again.
One who is a foreigner trying to teach and insult Malaysians and not commenting….like a cultured guest…does not deserve respect.
One who keep thinking his hot stuffs will make Malaysians suffer is a real idiot!
    Malaysians love hot soup…hot plate food…hot love…hot gambling…many more..and especially ..hot curry stuffs…with chilipadi.
Our hot weather is the main reasons…. those that cannot take hot stuffs come by the thousands….just to get sun tan.
Naturally…..our hot places like disco…body rub down…run top/bottom.all over….why Monk and monsterball “M” keep getting lesser and lesser…..but like Monk said…he will still be an “M’…so do I.
    UMNO is out-dated.
One…you know who…keep applying out-dated fear tonic….dressed up with hot stuffs…feeding….hoping…that will be his weapon of distruption….chasing anyone way….applying to fearless Malaysians. What a jerk! What a fool.
