hahahahahaha…you will never get this told in newspapers.
Proudly call it…”Smart Tunnel”…shown to the whole world..another first .. in Discovery channel…two years ago…it need God to expose thee good for nothing crooks.
If UMNO is so truthful..they should have got a lawsuit against the builders…..but they dare not….huge commission given..will be exposed.
So a crook cheating another crook…so commonly seen in Malaysia….especially building freeways…taking 10 years or more to build….when it should not take more than two years.
    Why like that so?
Well…contract given…commission also collected by UMNO crooks…..contractor did some work….contractor ran away….no suing from government!!….on and on and on.

My friend was involved in the smart tunnel, he said the foreign “kwailo” had advised against building such tunnel, as there was not even one such tunnel (dual functions, alleviate flood, and disperse traffic in one) in the whole world, but the “smart” BN govt planners of Bolehland insisted.
So the “kwailo” consultant said they tried their best, but NO GUARANTEE!
My friend had been telling many ppl, this tunnel just won’t work!

Dr Tan and Ng when both are in Gerakan dare not to speak out. Jalan Ipoh is expected to be flooded regularly beacuse UMNO PWTC wanted to beautify the place. They dump rocks into Sg Gombak to create waterfall effect. This dumping of rock creates a constriction and will regulary flood MIC building. This constriction is like the Tun Perak bridge in Masjid Jamek when the STAR pillar is located.

So much for UMNO and its cohorts.

Time to reflect for a better delivery system in our country. At time we need to take action, proactive and sack those who are responsible. A lot of complacent exist in our delivery system. It need a team work and not blaming one another.

With the tropical weather like our beloved country, we need constant work to deep our river, upgrading civic conscious, drainage system and a lot more. Have been to Singapore, I have saw the constant deeping of river and construction to avoid this flash flood. Maybe our people are too busy politciking, the people are the one to suffer. If it is a act of God, then it is a wake up call for those in power. Work harder and make sure the downlines are not sleeping or doing some diapperance act or closing one eye only. It is time to move forward to improve it.

The evil of M, Money leads to Murder story is back again to haunt those involved. I told you, someone died tragically and not in peace, Ghost still floating around…..I expected this even though I am an outsider. Natural justice, divine tribulation is always there and inescapable however powerful or wealthy someone maybe. If not, Emperor Shih Huang Ti will still be around until today, then another M, perhaps. ACT of GOD?

Remember the movie called The Entrapment starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
There was a scene where a river was shown near the twin towers. Malaysians were laughing at them – in those Malaysia Boleh (with pride) days.

Looks like the movie was not wrong after all. It is real life imitating fiction.

    Who has the last laugh?

Wonder why someone here has to attribute all the problems to the BN . Tell me today which country in the world doesn’t have their own , natural problem ?

BeEnd had 52 years to solve this problem ??? should blame your parents for bringing you out into this world !! Perhaps you could have been born in Afganistan , Iraq , Zimbabwe , Bangladesh Sudan , Somalia and so forth . You should thank your lucky stars that you were born here . Do you want to blame god for all the shit you are getting today ?

You should be thankful you are born NOT CACAT today . If you are one who are you going to blame ? BN ? That the BN doctors delivered you cacat ?

Suggest you read this article :
    From Ti Lian Ker’s blog
Are BN “devils” and Pakatan “angels”??

Pakatan do no wrong. BN is the devil. BN is corrupted. BN abused their power. BN saja ada skandal..this has been the spin and now the perception of the man in the street.

Talk to the Ah Soh Ah Mad, Moo Thoo etc… the man in the street who has no political alignment or attachment and they will churn out disgusting tales of so and so that is so unmalaysian in culture and style. Gone were the days where we are all berbudaya (cultured) and lemah lembut ( soft and gentle) or hurmat-menghurmati (mutual respect).

No wonder when there was a survey , many blamed the politicians for the rot and gutter of Malaysian culture and values on politicians. Again there’s a qualification here…BN Politicans! Matter of perception.

Remember when the Pakatan Exco’s and politicans were arrested for corruption and accepting sexual favors, they cried foul! Pakatan came to their defense with no qualms. Blatantly coming to their defense without any hesitations or misgivings. That is because they were Pakatan then. They do no wrong.

I believe more of this flooding will be here as time goes by and probably getting worse .

Lots of coastal countries are sinking , Venice , Bangladesh , Bangkok , Holland , England etc , etc .
There have been severe flooding in the US , in England , in Italy , in many parts of the world . There has been severe fires in California , in Spain , in Greece and in Australia to name a few but nobody blames their govt only here in Malaysia , everything is the damned govt’s fault .

The smart tunnel was built to drain off flood waters but the builders overlook the fact that the sea level is raising due to the ice caps and glaziers melting . Today the north pole and and Antarctica are shrinking and the ice sheets are melting . The sea level is projected to rise by 3 meters come 2012 . If the sea level rises how do you expect the water to flow ? in or out to sea ? Bangkok and many cities mentioned above will be sinking . This is the result of the 9.1 mega earthquake off Bandar Aceh in 2004 . It has cause the earth to wobble in its rotation and the true north has shifted . This is polar shift and not caused by global warming as some countries want you to believe in . Off course there are other theories like the incoming of a planet ten times the size of planet earth due here in 2012 which is also affecting the other planets within the solar system .

How can it be global warming ? when we see many places which have never experience snowfall suddenly are covered with snow and in deep freeze and countries experiencing severe cold weather ?

We in Malaysia are NOT spared . Those staying in KL or in low lying areas , be prepared to move to higher ground , that’s my advise .

Every country has its many faces , depends on your karma . That is why today , the creator has decided that one’s birth shall be decided by your previous life , your karma as all people are NOT born equal . You can see there all sorts of people on this earth , some living to a ripe old age , some born still and some born disabled .
In any country if you are born into a silver spoon , life is great , you are in heaven , if if are born into poverty , life is hell . If you are born into one of the UMNOputra families enjoying all the easy money , you be condemning the PR guys . If you thru your past karma decides that you’ll be born into a Hindraf family , life is hard and that where you need to demonstrate and protest .

Take all hardships as they come and try to turn it around yourself . Only you can help your ownself . Blaming others will not help you . God is in everyone , god helps those who help themselves , do not expect money to fall down from heaven . In the Buddhist heaven and hell , it is in the form of multi levels and its always open , no one way in and no way out .

Understand your frustrations and anger from those living and working in KL . I hate to see my car becoming a submarine .

My take is we should pressure our MPs and the Selangor govt which is currently under the PR govy to immediately look into the problem . That is the most effective way . Ask them to bring it up in Parliament or have the Selangor govt look into the specifications and blueprint of the smart tunnel . Have them bring in foreign expertise to determine if there’s any change in the specifications or not built to specs . Then have them charge the builders since they are the state govt right now. This includes environmentalists and experts on drainage . Your pressure now if you want to get those bastards ( up to your interpretation) is to pressure your MPs and have them brought up in parliament . This is bad image for the tourist industry , people don’t want to be stranded by floods . I sympathize with you .
KL as it is today is below sea level . Be prepared is better than to be NOT prepared . The inter monsoonal season is starting very soon and you can expect lots of heavy rain every now and then . On the other hand for them to rectify the current problem ie of flooding , is going to take years even if they start doing it now .

One precaution , though make it a point never to park your car in the basement , if there’s a multi storey go for it and plan you route well when it rains .

The “Stupid” tunnel is only one of the many useless projects. Yet it was built. Your guess is as good as mine.

I remembered many years ago, a business man (he is still alive) proposed to a certain Dr M that the KL city needed a “air-conditioned” walkalator network around KL inner city for tourists.

Can you imagine, a walkalator constructed around KL? Well, this country is extremely “excellent” in maintenance. Can you imagine someone stuck in a long broken down covered walkalator under the cilipadi hot weather. Ha, haaa… Thank heavens, the project never took off the ground.

Another one, another businessman (highly connected) proposed an elevated shopping malls along the KL Klang River. Well, it didn’t take off finally.

And all of you forgot the airconditioned toilets in the city for tourists. A few around but nor working properly. There was one, whose doors suddenly opened prematurely when the “guest-of-honor” had hardly pulled up the pants….ha….ha, luckily not politician, otherwise have to resign……cos’ it was posted in and sent around as email.

The river side (near Jalan Pekililing Flats) and drainage took more than shitty 8 years to complete. KL motorists should know, always stuck in the daily crawls along Tun Razak between 1990s to as long as 2004.

The KL Mayor should be sacked as what a damn shame declaring wanting to make KL the finest city in Asia. Is he sleeping on his job. Act of God……ha….ha…

Maybe, just maybe, KL can be the 4th class City of Venice, with sampans floating to Putrajaya. Blocked drainage, badly built roads and over developed with little trees, KL is fit for urban monkeys.

well we have met before …in this blog

    Ok to your comments :
Well, honestly, your comments so far suggesting Umno, which is the backbone of BeEnd, did no wrong over 51 years being the gahmen. Am I right to say this?

Wrong , cilipadi I did not suggest UMNO did no wrong . But not 51 years . If you take 51 years from today it starts from independence 1957 ! Tunku was a good guy but the rot started during Razak’s time after May 13 1969 . That’s 40 years . UMNO under TDM did the most damage to this country under his rule . He was instrumental in corrupting or set the stage for corruption to manifest itself in UMNO . That was the time when he changed all the racial equation can could possibly be changed .
The hate , racial issues , the judiciary , the polis , the ketuanan melayu , the keris , the arrogance of UMNO , the SIL issues and so on all played their part of the general perception of Malaysians that Umno and BeEnd failed in governing Malaysia? .

My comment on “Talk to the Ah Soh Ah Mad, Moo Thoo etc…is taken from the blog Ti Lian Ker . Suggest you visit his website ans see for yourself all his articles . He gives you a different viewpoint and I normally listen or see both sides of the story rather than just seeing a one sided article or story . The rest up to you to decide .

Why Hindraf people are so angry?
MIC FAILED THEM. Samy Vellu the Sultan of Tamil Naidu should RESIGN immediately but he refuse due to many personal interests .

Why commentators in blogosphere, Malaysiakini, The Malaysian Insiders do not reflect that so far?
Malaysiakini is known for its anti establishment views and is known as Anwarkini to many people . You will find that many of its views are very slanted and do not reflect the truth . One example is the views on OTK posted by one James Lee . See my comment on the CSL affair in this blog under ” Still another party fight looming ” under recent post .
On Malaysian Insider see who are the article contributors and you can get a fairly good idea who they are align to . I should say almost 90% are with PR .

Why Umno and BeEnd suffered embarassed defeats in 308?
I have commented on this countless times , for I’ll give you a brief . Malaysians wanted to teach them a lesson for UMNO’s arrogance . Malaysians wanted a strong opposition in parliament to counter that arrogance . For MCA , members voted out their Party’s candidates as they were seen to be Ong Ka Ting’s henchmen , and who refuse to put candidates who won with big margins the last election . New , unknown candidates who doesn’t have the support of the respective divisions were fielded .
For Gerakan , same story of internal conflicts due to wrong time to announce CM material . Four candidates were named as CM material , wrong move .
For MIC , its history nobody like Samy Vellu.
For UMNO too many that you cannot fill this page , need a one inch thick book .

when SMART wss built , a lot of people were sceptical that it can solve the flood situation. But the government especially those in charge of KL has repeated said that this problem will not arise once SMART is put in place..

So my contention is that, if they are not sure that this can work, they should tell the people honestly, and not to give them false expectation..They can say: This tunnel MAY solve the problem, but we are not sure……They should not be so dead sure that flood would be a thing of the past… Look back at all the newspapers announcement , and you see my point…

And not to mention the more than a billion used… Which can be used to house many urban poor.

Well, in fact, alot of people did voice out their concern about the huge amount of money used in this projectwhen this project was first mooted . Some have even suggested that instead of spending so much, why not spend a fraction of this to deepen the rivers? It would have better effect. But all the alternative suggestions were brushed aside.

When you are not sure of a project, and yet have no qualm of spending biilions of taxpayers money into a project that does not really work, it is called a waste of public fund.. and this is certainly not the first instance that public funds are wasted…

Haha, timing difference, you have balls, you did not chicken out.

Thanks for responding. At least you admitted Umno and BeEnd did wrong. So, who to be blamed?

I can see you put blames to every single component parties of BeEnd, but, Umno being the taukeh of BeEnd, should carry the most blames. Umno is the one who created the ‘Yes man’ culture, within BeEnd, Parliment and respective State Assemblies. Everyone knows who did the damages the most. It is obvious.

Since you admitted Umno / BeEnd did wrong. What’s next?

About Malaysiakini & M. Insiders, I totally do not agree with you. You still have ‘ostrich mentality’ in yourself. If MSM is practising professionalism, don’t you think that PR and pro-PR journalist will go for MSM instead of online media. MSM has wider penetration and coverage.

Further, my question on Malaysiakini and Mkini is about commentators responses, not writers or journalists. In fact, Malaysiakini is the most independent, at least to me. One example is, they even invited Khairy (the SIL) for interviews.

anun, back to you. Ball is at your side.

    Hello anun,

One example of BeEnd style screw up of multi-million project (even multi-bilion project apparently).

Go and ask Tan Sri VT, how the MiTV project was screwed up, despite hundreds of millions poured in and even a soft launch by none other than Badawi himself, with Siti Nurhaliza performing…

I witness this first hand the modus operandi of how BeEnd stick its thumbs into the pie and screw up every project.

Tunku Abdul Aziz, formerly of Transparency International says that at least 30% of cost in any projects in Malaysia goes to paying off their political patrons.

If you still haven’t got the picture, then you should’nt be lecturing here about the moons and the stars (and God forbid, Buddhism) and how it causes floods in KL despite billion dollar “very’ SMART tunnel construction.

By standard rate, that not-so-SMART tunnel should only cost RM700mil.

Which all comes from our hard-earned tax payers money.

    Dr Hsu

I fully agree with all your points raised . If fact they should have deepened the river .

The problem is some people profited BIG out of this project and would not go for all the alternative suggestions . I think you know who’s the Executive Director of Gamuda the main con and their connections .

Yeah I still remember they mentioned that the project will divert all the excess water away from KL and prevent floodings in KL , well they are obviously wrong .
In fact the countless number of times they have been closing the tunnel for what they claim to be for maintenance leads me to suspect there is something very wrong with its structure . It is leaking thru the seams and joints. Is it safe ?
Wonder whether the 2004 Bandar Aceh earthquake has damaged it structurally during and after its construction . Wont be surprised the bottom portion where it’s supposed to divert the water away has been clogged by earth or sediments until it does not perform what its supposed to do . Flood waters carry with it mud and slime .

We are watching them. Come next GE 13. The people have the answer. Ah Soh, Mutuhu and Ali want those who can work for the country to improve a better qual;ities of life. Kick those who are still complacent, tidak apa, lack of enforcement, greedy contractors and close one eye politicians.

As long as the discussion is done in a civil manner and there is no personal attacks or attacks on race and religions, readers are welcome to give their views, even if it is against Gerakan. It is healthy to get feedback fr the people.

Gerakan is not so arrogant as to unable to tolerate criticism, i believe..

further, Gerakan was formed to realise the ideals of a fair and equal society.. It is a tool used to achieve this noble aim. So as long as this aim can be achieved, it does not matter whether gerakan can win any seats or not..

Thirdly, I have been advocating the party to go back to its founding ideology, to achieve a fair and equal society.. And at the moment, the way to achieve this is not within BN, but outside BN…

We cannot hang goat heads in front of the shop but sell dog meats inside, figuratively speaking…

That is my belief all along… This may not the belief of some members, but each is entitled to their views…

I would prefer to have foreigners to comment here, as they are the best neutral observer, since they do not have any bias from growing up here.

They just see what is happening and make their own conclusion.

Therefore, please don’t simply dismisses cilipadi’s view, and behave exactly like the arrogant UMNO, who have a SUPERSIZE idea of who they are in relation to the rest of the world.

Or tell them to mind their own business.
If they are here in Malaysia, they also pay taxes here, and they are equally a stakeholder.

It is this simple concept that cannot get through the brains of the UMNO Ultras, that is why the continued perpetuation of labelling non-Malay Malaysian as “pendatang” or “orang asing”.

It is these BIG stuff that the BeEnd component parties Gerakan, MCA, MIC have failed us.

We don’t want to have to second-guess where our children and their children will set root and call it our country.

Hindraf is just an awakening amongst the Indians as to their economic and social dispossesion.
The fact that 90% who died while in police custody are Indians goes to their very core and should be alarming to the rest of rational thinking Malaysians.

Yet, Syed Hamid had the gall to say the ultra-brief ISA detention of the newspaper reporter was for her own “protection” ??

When people die in police custody, you really wonder whether you are safe.

Isn’t all these evident enough that the 52 years of BeEnd rules have but FAILED MISERABLY.

And the thing is that it is WORSENING.

The argument that US govt bail out their financial systems is the same as MY govt bail-outs is totally wrong.

US govt bail out of their banks is due to the decades long policy that is practise by both side of political divide, both Republican and Democrats to minimise government regulation on financial system, trusting that financial market will self-regulate.

This gave them a big boost in economy for past decades, however, it seems that the financial market have but ran wild, which triggered the meltdown.

Therefore, it is in the best interest of both Democrats and Republicans to nationalise some of the failed institution to prevent further deterioration.

On the other hand, MY govt bailouts are but towards bailling out cronies, like the infamous MAS fiasco, where the govt paid a premium price over the market price to buy back shares in MAS.

Likewise, your water supply board in Selangor, where the water concessionaires are overloaded with overissued long-term bonds.

All the while their CEO is laughing all the way to the bank with a RM5.1mil paycheck.

Now, instead of letting Selangor govt take over for what is deemed a reasonable market price, the Federal Govt is “over”-cutting by directly negotiating with the water concessionaires.

I would not be surprised that they will pay a premium to take over, which the bill will later be footed by tax payers.

Malaysians at large need to ensure that in the next GE, give full support to PR at state and federal levels. You guys can see for yourselves how messy it is now that BeEnd control Federal gahmen. All federal control institutions are being used by Umno as their tools in states under PR.

You agree with my above statement, anun?

    Two Issues here :

    1) It would not be easy for PR to capture the Federal Govt . Being the incumbent govt , they have at their disposals all the Federal agencies supporting them , to name a few like MACC , PDRM , the Judiciary and others .
On top of that there is the second echelon (level) govt leaders who are mainly appointed by the current Federal Govt . This consists of the DOs (District Officers) who play a very important role in the constituency and are the eyes and ears of the Govt . They work very closely with the Special Branch in intelligence gathering besides approval of all businesses and projects in their area of control.
Second would be the Majlis people like the MPPP , MPPJ MPSP etc etc . These people can throw spanner in works , delays approval of many works and projects .
These Civil servants were once used by Anwar to create havoc to certain parties when he was DPM . Example , Cabinet approves a certain policy . These Civil servants at the ministry level like the DG or the SK will sit on it and delay its implementation , resulting in the public getting pissed off with the govt . I think I would like to be brief here as the internet is not the right place to disclose all .

2)This is the way politics works or is . All federal control institutions are servant to the Federal Govt as they are hired , paid , and promoted by the F. Govt ,That’s their rice bowl . For your info 98% of all senior positions in the Civil Service are all held by Malays or bumiputras . There are very few Chinese and Indians holding Senior positions like Director General . Dep DG , etc, etc .
If PR were to be the govt , it will still be the same , nothing change , only we the public lose .
Politicians only benefits themselves the rest are are just numbers in their game ,.

Just take a good good look at PR !
    a) Certain PAS leaders are interested in forming a unity govt with UMNO . If this goes thru , PR is in disarray .

    b) DAP is another one man control party under supremo LKS . That’s part of the outburst by Karpal saying LKSand LGE not supporting him but supporting Anwar . Internal conflicts under control at the moment , how long it can last , my guess is as good as yours . That accounts for Karpal asking Anwar to step down as Mr Opposition . But RPK went a step further asking Anwar , LKS and Hadi to step down .

    c) PKR is a party with hardly any good candidates at the moment . It consists of many low quality candidate or YBs as RPK puts it in one of his articles . That is true , they have masseuse , hawker selling tow choi , bicycle shop owner as Ybs to name a few . It is these low class quality YBs who fall for the money and become Kataks . They are suddenly shot into the limelight by the 308 tsunami and do not know how to deal with it except for the take money jump ship syndrome .
Even in Penang , it is a one man show with the rest no say except for the inexperience , incompetent brash young man who calls all the shots in Penang , always forgetting he is now the Chief Minister and still thinks and talks like the opposition chief .

PR is a party with different ideologies and its like mixing water and oil together when we know that they can never mix. Its a marriage of convenience . Divorce proceeding can be initiated at any time .

I have taken this time to post this and I think its best we leave at that cos I do not wish to waste my time and mental energy answering the same piece over and over again .

    Dr Hsu ,

Thanks , I know what you are saying . Just for my info , how your relationship with the other chap from Penang whose last four digit ends with 3558 ?

I think I know the reasons too for why he (8228) is the biggest supporter of the group in KL that wants you out…it has got a lot to do with your views . But that can be corrected . When I see him , I’ll try to rectify that perception .

    1) Indeed, and we want this “monopoly” to continue another 50 years, and they can continue to do what they like ?

    2) Due to the racial polarising policies of the BeEnd govt that is the root cause of why the Civil services are loaded with one race, while the private sectors are accumulate all the dan lain-lain.

2a) Likewise, immediately after 308, UMNO is offering PAS to join them so that they can retain Perak and Selangor.

Being faithful dogs to UMNO for 52 years, what have the political master offered to MCA, MIC, Gerakan ?

Still the recent event in Perak with PAS taking a principled stance together with DAP and PKR, that bodes well for the future of Pakatan Rakyat.

How best to create a strong bond but by putting them all under fire.

Sure, there are a few kataks, and note that these kataks are accepted with open arms by BeEnd, even if most of them are still charged with corruption.

What does it tells you about BeEnd ? Party that absorbs corruption like a sponge, just to steal a legitimate state govt ?

2b) LKS and Karpal Singh are loud-mouth cowboy. They had to, because all the MSM is controlled by UMNO, MCA and MIC.

And we are really glad that we still have leaders who speak out for us.

Instead of BeEnders who only kowtow to UMNO their political master.

When they go after each other, I would say that is democracy at work and it further goes to show that each of them are equal partner.

Unlike MCA, MIC, Gerakan, who, the master, UMNO say jump, you say how high, they say you eat shit, you say eat how much.

2c) Well, if you feel PKR lacks good YBs, then instead of complaining here, why not sign up and take up the cause towards a better Malaysia for all races.

At least Ahmad, Ah Kau and Samy, all races can come and join PKR, unlike the racially exclusive BeEnders.

Indeed, is’nt that what Gerakan is all about, at least in their founding ideology.

But now, one Chang Ko Youn of Perak Gerakan, is the “advisor” on Chinese affairs in the new exco line up.

This guy not even elected, yet he becomes an exco level, and to add insult to injury, will be advising on “Chinese” affairs.

Hello… the last I check, Gerakan is suppose to be a multi-racial party, building towards Satu Hati and Anak Bangsa Malaysia….

.. apa sudah jadi… bila sudah dapat kuasa… sudah lupa ideologi… lupa diri…

So easily fall into the divide-n-rule trap set by UMNO.

Does it takes a genius to figure all this out ??

Don’t underestimate the new generation, they are much more well informed and won’t take as much shit as the previous generation.

    Filial…Piety…Pity MCA??

Come rain come shine…MCA will remain!
i may be smiling but i am in real pain…
what can MCA do when there’s no bargain?
you may run but MCA will assist you again..

People talk like they are experts in politics nowadays. They can be so judgmental and unsympathetic.

I was born in a poor family in a Chinese new village. My dad was orphaned at the age of 9 with a younger brother. His family was killed either by the Japanese or the communist. Being a typical traditional old fashioned Chinaman, he refused to talk about his miserable past. I am the youngest in a family of 9 siblings. My Dad was detained under the Internal Security Act by the British on suspicion of helping the communist despite the fact that he hated the communist and my mum was forced to take care of my elder brothers and sisters on her own.

This is the world we are living in…. Sometimes God can be so cruel and unkind yet we are supposed to maintain continue and have absolute faith in HIM. I do not have the benefit of pre-school or kindergarden education. I had to walk a few miles to my school in order to taste the cendol with my bus fare at a stall near the district office /old RIMV in Raub. I enjoyed every moment of my silly nolstagia. Not a single moment had I hate my parents for being poor or envious of my friends who were rich and comfortable.I was not brought up by my Mum to be envious or resentful of others but be thankful to Kuan Yin for her mercy and ‘bersyukur’ for whatever i had.

I recalled my mum telling me about her sufferings during the Japanese occupation and how they had to ration their rice and live in fear of the Japanese and the communist. More importantly I held onto my mother’s reminder to walk tall and work hard and not to stoop or to beg and thus I failed badly when it came to apple polishing or to curry flavour…

The above is not meant to seek sympathy or to sob sob to anybody…The moral of the story is that I belong to a poor party in ‘image’, perceived to be ‘wealthy’ and ‘mighty’ called Malaysian Chinese Association. I am judged by the mere association with this poor downtrodden party (though rich in assets but still miserable to it’s members) due to it’s failure in certain areas politically.

Firstly, MCA had to tolerate injustices and unfair practices due to her inability to stand up to big brother UMNO to maintain a close rapport and also in order to seek their indulgences for the common Chinese.

From the very beginning MCA has no political support from the common Chinese who were more into triads and clans . They were more interested in going back to their motherland China. They looked down upon the Nyonyas and Babas who had formed MCA to safeguard their interest and welfare. It was a welfare organisation originally formed to help the poor singkehs who were destitute and helpless. MCA bought tickets for them to travel back to their motherland in the event they failed to make a living here and wished to return. Yet the Nyonyas and Babas were looked down with disgust since they didn’t speak Chinese and wore sarongs. MCA! How pathetic….

Secondly, it is wrong to say that MCA had not stood up to UMNO. History shows that MCA’s President Lim Chong Yu had stood up to UMNO’s Tengku Abdul Rahman but lost. MCA Ministers had also left the Cabinet to take political responsibility and accountability. But subsequently, they went back upon the request of community leaders.

Tun Ling Liong Sik had also taken two weeks risk and leave to protest the intended continuation of the New Economic Policy which was drafted as a result of the Mei 13 aftermath. There were murmurs, anger and attempts to dislocate Tun Ling for daring to launch a protest to challenge UMNO’s intention to extend the NEP as manifested by Tun Daim Zainuddin then . Fortunately, Tun Mahathir succumbed to reasoning and agreed to form the National Economic Consultative Council of which the National Development Policy was born therein. NDP was definitely a better level field economically as compared to the rocky patchy pot-holed NEP.

Remember Kit Siang and Dong Qiao Zhong left MCA in the lurch when they faced PAS and UMNO onslaught at the NECC, by running away from responsibility…the way Goh Hock Guan DAP Secretary General ran away to Australia during Mei 13? MCA stayed back and negotiated a fairer and more level field of which the kids of the 90s benefited from the spirit of NDP which was more liberal and much fairer then NEP. NEP ended politically though NEP still lives in spirit administratively through the officers and executives…MCA had discharged their legislative role to reduce the unfairness of NEP which was bulldozed through at a time of chaos.

Back to the moral of my story….my Dad was poor due to events beyond his control. These circumstances and many other factors were beyond his control . I am not ashamed and am proud to stand by my poverty ridden family that gave me the strength and mental determination to free myself from the vicious circle of my environment.

Similarly, MCA in reality is politically weak as a result of factors beyond their control over the years and in history. I am not ashamed and will stand by MCA to fight for a level playing field for Malaysians in general irrespective of race and creed. I am resolved to stand by MCA and not run away as MCA had over the years suffered in silence ; suffered political humiliations from their own kind for being weak and poor. It is not about supporting MCA in 2004 and abandoning MCA in 2008. It is about standing by MCA with filial duty and a strong resolve to change it from within …to make it a better and stronger party in order that we can continue to be relevant and effective politically.

Come rain come shine…MCA will remain!
i may be smiling but i am in real pain…
what can MCA do when there’s no bargain?
you can run but MCA will assist you again..

    who is to be blamed…
you want to set MCA in flames…
kick and put MCA to shame…
    are you enjoying your game???

Here’s another good article written by him
    Ti Lian Ker at

    WTF…..Stop F***ing MCA!!!

If you are in blogosphere and an MCA member, you must be able to stomach the abuses…harsh, coarse and insulting words hurled at MCA and it’s leaders. No wonder many young voters run and stay away from MCA. WHo wants to be associated with a downtrodden, stepped upon political party? MCA can’t even fight their own battle and take the bulls by the horns of this rotten, ugly, unsympathetic ass like, arrogant and self-centered educated individuals.

Firstly, they are in their comfort zone and speak through their nose.

Secondly, they are gungho and shoot from their hips.

Thirdly, they are sidelined from their own community on the ground where some came from but conveniently forgotten and have no inklings of the problems we are facing and the mud we are in. The community are burdened with too many problems awaiting to rear it’s ugly head but these individuals will wine and dine in their comfort zone and dictate to MCA what ought to be done.

Oh yes! They are smart enough to declare that they are apolitical….no time or money for political work…ssh ssh what’s there for me?? WTF! how much can a councillor or YB earn compared to their executive or professional income!

Of course they are able to do so, as they have a choice to stay away from the rut and mud of the lower rung of the society. They mingled with their selected individuals and circles. They rub shoulders with the high and mighty. They carry themselves with dignity and hang around the wealthy. They are somehow in a brand, prestige and pedigree of their own. They f*** MCA for not standing up to UMNO but they suck up to UMNO big shots or personalities at the golf-course or at the slightest chance they get. When MCA faced any confrontation, they are the first to run. Maybe not all of them… just exaggerating a little, to drive home a point here.

In Kuantan, they are all my brothers actually. They are my political sympathizers. They are my friends and supporters. They are mostly educated, graduates, bankers, doctors, lawyers, professionals etc. and they are sympathetic to my cause. Most of them are converted and understand the problems faced by MCA and can feel our pulse. In Kuantan, I don’t see such personalities or bloggers in our blogosphere.

Elsewhere, they could be obnoxious. They are wealthy in their own right and generally couldn’t care a f*** who you are as they have their own social circles, their own business associates, their own “Godfathers” and their own family. They don’t need the world. They can’t be bothered…They will not trouble trouble til trouble troubles them…such as when their kids are grown-up and they realize that they have to cough up hundreds of thousands and even millions for their children’s education. Then they go WTF is the government doing? Why must I pay through my nose for my children’s education. Their nostrils are on fire when they see BUMIPUTRA’s on scholarship. More so when these BUMIPUTRAS are undeserving, rich and powerful. They are on fire when their children are doing well and there are no scholarships available. Their lifetime savings are gone down the drain for their children’s education. In other countries, parents don’t have to pay. Education is a right. Providing education is a duty of the state.

They are of course right in many ways. They want MCA to fight for them …but they stay away???

Back to MCA..we are stuck with clearing the dust. Providing welfare. Doing ad hoc projects to be seen and to seem relevant. We are dictated by the clans and triads. We have to play to their rhythm. We have to kow-tow to the rich and wealthy? Reality bites! We need their money to run our party machinery and projects. Mind you!

MCA as a political party has no funding. We have to fund the projects on our own. Contrary to public perception , MCA unlike UMNO is “chee kee koo chee kee” i.e. you take care of your ownself. If you fail, you will be disqualified as a MCA grassroot leader. Of course there are others in a different category. In my fifteen years of being in the front line of the Division, no leaders have asked or offered any help for us to run our social friendly welfare projects etc.

The last straw that broke the camel’s back? Not only MCA had failed to negotiate for educational funding to the average Joe on the street….MCA has to carry the burden of seeking monetary funding for the Chinese primary schools. They have the “bantuan penuh” and “bantuan separuh” concept. WTF? These policies are archaic and my friend Wee Ka Siong, the Deputy Education Minister…you better change this policy as soon as possible. We cannot survive any longer if we have to seek public funding for primary elementary education. One last word…plz dun go f*** f*** me for blogging your woes and make me a foe. Be sympathetic to my cause…your cause too!

He at least must address to me if he is sincere in replying, but instead wrote long winded grandmother’s story that doesn’t even flow. This style is typical of this kind of people as shown by them in Parliament that confused people more than clarifying what is / are their stand. This is how they are trained anyway.

By giving such kind of responses, they are actually underestimating the intelligent of commentators of this forum.

But, at least, as an outsider, can now appreciate why Dr. Hsu is facing a formidable task in rehabilitating his comrades in Gerakan. As long as they have this kind of ‘ostrich mentality’, there is no hope for Malaysia if Umno / BeEnd still rule.

What we want? Bread and butter issue, political stability, a place to call home, a sense of belonging, education opportunities and better qualities of life.
A lot of Malaysians can stand on their own and survive throughout the world. We need a better educated generation but alas a lot of policies is one sided. I don’t deny we should have meritocracy in the government service and promote those who are capable, dedicated and commited. We are Malaysians and we need a racial balance civil service. As in Perak, they are a numbers who are sympathy to the losing party. But we need to move on and overcome the economic woes at our door step. It is enough politicking until we pour out and break our rice bowl. What we the people want? Politic is define as ways to grab power. If PR lose the battle this round, come back the next GE with their strategies. Can they convince that meeting under a rain tree brings significant change in the constitutional laws? Are we becoming the laughing stock acting like a clown in clown uniform? What sort of entertainment that we need? Call for a state assembly meeting with all the assemblyman and vote once and for all. No point confuse the public with you are right or wrong. Public perception can be bias. Politic is numbers. We can only blame the people who choose their representatives who are unprincipled. How ignorant the people are with the last political tsunami? Even a cat, dog, monk, anun, cili padi, robert chai and etc on PR tickets can won the election.

    Read this:–tunku-abdul-aziz

The honorable Tunku Abdul Aziz opines that “Man Does not live on Bread Alone”.

It is exactly this that BeEnd promises of development, economy, and doling out of millions during election, no longer buys any vote.

Note that GE-12 is run by Najib, Permatang Pauh also run by Najib, Kuala Terengganu also run by Najib.

In all three election he lost. Do you think he will win GE-13 for you ??

In all three election Najib old tactic of doling out the dough no longer works, except perhaps in KT amongst the Chinese, because they badly needs fund for their vernacular school.

So really, it is Najib who should resign, not Badawi.

Development is the basic function of government, otherwise why we need a government, stupid !!

Economic growth, well, if all the 30% money lost for each project paid to political patrons is recovered, our Economy immediately already 30% bigger.

There are certain CTs being posted to every blog and there manifest there . They never migrate to other blogs for the purpose of ” That’s their job ” to post and bash other commenters deem not with them under the so call internet freedom .

Their routine is very simple , they will pose questions like an interrogator in the police cell and keep on asking you whether you agree with their call . Looks like its the KGB’s type of systematically leading you to agree with all their thoughts and brainwashing .

People like us do not brainwash others simply we we only post on certain articles . Those who hang around or manifest themselves like parasites feeding on the host , these are the ones you have to watch out .

How not to lose? I wrote an article criticising them on that immediately after 308…

3558 has the support os 8228….And the former chief mouth piece of course… the person behind all the moves trying to kick me out of the party…. I will walk out when the time has come, no need to kick me out…

Likewise when parasites manifest in certain blogs , when people ( can be anyone ) visits the blog , they would get the opinion that the host is condoning these parasites to write and bash their own brethren and comrade in arms . In the end its the host that suffers due to the perception .

That was one of the main reasons fot the fall of Gerakan . During the campaign I was called to meet up with No 1 . That was sometime very late in the night just after his visit to the Bukit Bendera constituency with all all them there , as usual 8228 following round like a poodle . I was told to meet him at the mamak stall in Macalister road . No 1 asked me for my take in front of his SUP a Dato V. I told him bluntly that we are going to lose all . He was shocked , he repeated that to me and I told him the reasons .

It was the wrong time to announced the changed over . There will be pulling of legs by all the three contenders and with MCA not happy with OKT ‘s candidates resulted in having the same problem as in Gerakan . 8228 was not around when I told him that . FYI I have direct access to him .

Just hang in there , things will change for the better as the Big Brother has been shaken to the bones to repent .

    refer to

I am a non-Malaysian which resides in Malaysia for long enough to be familiar with the politics of this country. I’ve been actively giving my views in Dr. Hsu’s Forum.

I witnessed how Umno / BN was and is running the country. Just look back during Mahathir’s rule, the main 3 pillar of significant, namely Legislative, Executive & Judiciary were being raped by the Executive which resulted in Legislative & Judiciary no more an independent institution of their own. It is very clear, one does not need to be highly intelligent to understand what I meant here. The recent Perak fiasco, Lingam Video case, Altantuya, autopsy reports of Kugan, just to name a few, are the very few examples that reflect how sick is this country that I adopted.

I agree with Andrew’s points to a certain extent, but what he said about Penang DAP led government are just peanuts compared to what Umno / BN had done to the country. Their sins are far more deplorable that warrant Malaysian people to somehow ‘casting their votes blindly’ to Pakatan Rakyat. Only then, these Umno and their goons can repent truthfully their wrong doings to this beloved adopted country of Malaysia.

To Andrew, I appreciate your views, if they are of clear conscience without any malice or hidden agenda. Keep criticizing PR if they do wrong so that they can fine tune their inexperience in their administration. Your vote to Pakatan Rakyat is still needed to teach Umno / BN a lesson that they country has been raped by them for far too long. Let them realize and repent their wrong doing. Only then, democracy of this country can thrives on healthy 2-party system that emphasize on ‘morality’.

Malaysian people need to go all out to support Pakatan Rakyat, ensure both Federal and State governments go to Pakatan Rakyat in next General Election. If not, you can see the mess that we witnessed in Perak fiasco. Federal agencies are being used at their whim and fancy to hang them on to their powers at all cost.

To me, a Malaysian Outsider, Pakatan Rakyat should concentrate on disseminating this message of mine to all Malaysian people. You guys are at losing end going to your Judiciary to seek justice.

Anil, I will re-post this comment of mine in Dr. Hsu’s Forum, The Middle Ground and blogs that I am familiar with so that more people get what I commented. I have no other motive but to let Malaysia has the chance to regain its past glory.

i think this is the time for both sides to concentrate on govenring in their respective portfolios. BN concentrate on federal and the states under them and Pakatam concentrate ont he states under them. Perak should go back to the people as now there is a big mess there. After another state wide election, whoever wins Perak should concentrate on governing there.

Let the people be the judge as who is the better side and come the 13th GE, people will decide.

Meanwhile, Gerakan should seriously consider coming out as an independent, so as not to be seen as subservient to anyone, so that we can pursue our ideology in a manner that is not controlled and determined by others……

Whoever is good, we can support, We can also push for our agenda of a fair and equal society.. This is the best time to push for this agenda,as even many modern thinking Malay brothers are now thinking along the same line..

We can only get quality Malay leaders to join us if we are an independent force…And in the reality of malaysian politcis, a multiracial party needs the particiaption of Malay brothers, there is no doubt about this.. and of course, Indians, Kadazans, Ibans and so on…

    That is my heretic views…

    To those ‘MOLES’, by cilipadi

The reason why the two articles were posted is for your reference

firstly , I talk about MCA since the article is about MCA . There’s already a new leadership heading the party . Forget about the old leadership which is responsible for all the mess . That was the reason why the old leadership was voted out . CSL represents part of the old leadership align to LLS and OKT , that’s why the pow wow within the party today .

If you do not give the chance for the new leadership to work and prove its sincerity , by keeping on calling for the BN to end , you are doing others a disservice . Yes you can say your piece and give your views but putting the blame on the new leadership which was done by the old leaders is not fair as what the author of the article is trying to put across .

These people are trying their best to do what needs to be done and what has to be done and the constant bashing is uncalled for .

The other thing is by posting negative bashings of the govt daily in this blog is also not healthy to the owner of this blog as our GOOD DR is a very kind and down to earth person and is effecting him politically even though he might not want to say it .. As he puts it ” As long as the discussion is done in a civil manner and there is no personal attacks or attacks on race and religions, readers are welcome to give their views, even if it is against Gerakan. It is healthy to get feedback fr the people.” I agree to that .

    And finally
    as you said ,
Let them realize and repent their wrong doing. Only then, democracy of this country can thrives on healthy 2-party system that emphasize on ‘morality’.

For a 2 – party system to function , BN component partys should stay put for two reasons . One is to balance the two party system as leaving would leave it lopsided and back to square one .
two , UMNO should not be forced into a corner by these component parties leaving , leaving UMNO alone . This is a very dangerous trend as you might never know what they will do next , like a spurned lover in fatal attraction .

    as DR says
Whoever is good, we can support, We can also push for our agenda of a fair and equal society.. This is the best time to push for this agenda

Singapore’s latest downtown iconBuilt across the mouth of the Marina Channel, the Marina Barrage creates Singapore’s 15th reservoir, and the first in the heart of the city. With a catchment area of 10,000 hectares, or one-sixth the size of Singapore, the Marina catchment is the island’s largest and most urbanised catchment. Together with two other new reservoirs, the Marina Reservoir will boost Singapore’s water catchment from half to two-third’s of the country’s land area.

The Marina Barrage is the result of Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew’s vision nearly two decades ago when he envisaged damming the mouth of the Marina Channel to create a freshwater reservoir.

    3-in-1 BenefitsWater Supply

    Flood Control

    Lifestyle Attraction

    Water Supply
The Marina Barrage is a dam built across the 350-metre wide Marina Channel to keep out seawater, forming Singapore’s first reservoir in the city and 15th reservoir. Marina Reservoir combines with the future Punggol and Serangoon reservoirs will increase Singapore’s water catchment areas from half to two-thirds of Singapore’s land areas.

With the barrage in place, the Marina Basin will turn into a body of freshwater through natural flushing in one two to years. The freshwater will then be treated using advanced membrane technology before consumption.

Local catchment water is one of the Four National Taps, with the other three being imported water, NEWater and desalinated water.

As one of the pillars of local water supply, Marina Reservoir will meet more than 10% of Singapore’s current water demand.

    Flood Control
The Marina Barrage is part of a comprehensive flood control scheme to alleviate flooding in the low-lying areas in the city such as Chinatown, Boat Quay, Jalan Besar and Geylang.

During heavy rain, the series of nine crest gates at the dam will be activated to release excess storm water into the sea when the tide is low.

In the case of high tide, giant pumps which are capable of pumping an Olympics-size swimming pool per minute will drain excess storm water into the sea.

    Lifestyle Attraction
As the water in the Marina Basin is unaffected by the tides, its water level will be kept constant all year round. This is ideal for all kinds of recreational activities such as boating, windsurfing, kayaking and dragonboating etc.

Most of us followed Doc Hsu’s forum for quite a while, and it really peaks after 308.

Personally, the first time I was here is to check out the Gerakan website, especially on their ideology, also on any response from them after the 308.
This especially amongst the BeEnd component parties, Gerakan still hold certain respect amongst us, especially during the Lim Chong Eu days.

To my surprise, during that time, the link to the Gerakan ideology was broken.

I can only conclude that nobody bothers, since who needs ideology when you have all the trappings of being in power.

However, Doc Hsu blog espounded a rational and intellectual outlook which even if we don’t agree 100%, it still resonates with us, the Rakyat who the powers-that-be repeatedly is out of touch with.

Still, repeatedly, we witness on this blog that Gerakan’s leadership continued to ignore the feedback from grassroot leaders like Doc Hsu.

Just ask yourself, how come these ‘with pea size brain’ only become so active in this forum? Their main aim is to ward off our logical comments that make sense. We comments with brain, not like them, with pea size brain.

They have no face at all a Gerakan member like Dr. Hsu, whose comments are inline with majority of Malaysian people, PR inclusive.

Never mind, let them comment and these will expose to us their weaknesses and illogical comments. It is best for these type of low quality people to remain in BeEnd. They are just parasites that can’t survive without Umno. When Umno is KO, they KO as well.

You have my full agreement on that . Matter of fact there are many issues on Penang and the one a lot of people refer to the Cheap Minister of Penang or simply known as Mr Opposition Minister . Still talking like an Opposition even until today , We have lots of data on him which is still in the process of being collected . We have not divulged all these info which will be used at the right and appropriate time . In laymans terms give him enough rope to hang himself . As you can see there is a typical CT here who will probably channel all the info to them .

One typical spin which did not worked out . He claimed in a press conference that someone wants to take him out physically or there’s an assassin out for him . It didn’t worked and he had to correct that it was a rumour or wrongly quoted. How can that be wrongly quoted when that statement came out from him ? and not anyone else ?

As long as both JUDICIARY & LEGISLATIVE are not being repaired to their previous integrity and Independence, Malaysian democracy is becoming a farce to me. So, the only way to amend this status is to give full support on Pakatan Rakyat.

You maybe right by titled this article “Birthday Party without the Goodies”, but, how to have “Goodies” if the foundation of democracy, JUDICIARY, LEGISLATIVE & EXECUTIVE are not strong. There is practically no “check & balance” in Malaysia right now.

Umno & its goons prefer to see Malaysia maintains its status quo. There is no hope for them to change. Romerz, do you see my point?

With the run up to 3 very important bye-bye elections, you can see more & more cybertroopers appear in blogosphere to paint a picture that Malaysia will be chaotic without Umno in power. It show that democracy is at work but we must not forgot that street demonstration is not the solution to solve the problems. Look at PPSMI demonstration. It will not solve the knowledge gained by our next generation. There is hidden agenda behind it. Agree with me, cili padi.

It come back to lang ai chiak. If our ricebowl is threaten, people will lose their sense of logic and rational . What we are feeling is that teachers and students should have not much problems coping with the teaching of Mathematic and Science in English for the last six years.

It show that the mentalities of someone behind trying to politice everythings under the moon. We are at a lose-lose situation. Teachers have been given extra 10 percent in incentive allowance to teach this subject. What happen to the 10 percent incentive allowance? It can use to upgrade their knowledge and proficient in English until free laptop is given to them. What is lack of is passion, suitability of teachers and drive to suceed?

What is Parti Gerakan Education Bureau Head stand on this issue? How about Form Six College that going to start soon? What is Dr. Hsu and Parti Gerakan stand because Dr. Hsu Is Parti Gerakan Education Bureau Head? I like to heard more what have Dr. Hsu plan with his Parti Gerakan education bureau with various education issues in our country? Are the teachers, school children and educators gain from the ad hoc stand? Parti Gerakan have been very vocal on education issues in the past 30 years or so. What direction should our country go in education improvement and opportunities?

We have a lot of youngster out there doing nothing and only goes to cyber cafe to write out their unwanted comments. The present youngsters are very vocal, outspoken and complacent whom can be easily convince. It is the next generation which dictate the direction of our country political leadership. We need political stability, employment opportunities, education opportunities, social justice, caring society, youth development, economic development and etc.

Even our country have more than 1 million foreign workers in Malaysia. Is it not time the government revamp the policies to safeguard our local workers and deprive of our rice bowl? Ah Hsu,
Isn’t that happened when Tan Chee Koon decided to leave Gerakan and ultimately setting up Pekemas? Gerakan is dead when Lim Chong Eu decided to join force with UMNO in BN.
I simply could not understand how the hell UMNO can infiltrate into Penang. That’s after Gerakan won so big in 1969 that they can form their government on their own. Yes, when Lim Chong Eu decided to join force, many disgrunted Gerakan left. Lim should have insisted that all state seats SHALL BE accorded to Gerakan
Lim Chong Eu made a big mistake casting nets too wide in otehr states that he has forgotten to jaga his own state. Know what happen, UMNO, MCA & MIC masuk. Hence, Gerakan has always been a puppet dominated by UMNO. When it reaches Ah Koh’s time, even the land portfolio given to UMNO. 5 Excos.
Hence, even if all the perceived shortcomings on DAP, how the hell would any INTELLIGENT & SANE Penangites would bring back the Gerakan? With political strategy, I can guarantee you guys that DAP would in Penang for a long long time. Hey, isn’t that why Koh was on power for too long?

I have been residing in Singapore for 16 years & counting. Even people like me can even criticise policies by PAP. The economic stimulus plan seeming good but didn’t put much emphasis on giving money directly to the people.
But hey, it’s guaranteed that all employers unlike a few in Malaysia benefited . Thus, employees jobs are saved.

    Dr Hsu,
These are the few words that can save Malaysia. Respect the original constituition & the spirit of federalism. Upheld Rule of Law. Accountable with clarity and consistency in government policies.

Gerakan shall return and declared we shall return. Gerakan need to work hard to convince the younger generation to support them. Gerakan need a younger, dynamic, vibrant and idealistic leaders to move on. With the all yes man around, it will lose it clarity and logical. The people who is the one who called the shot. What we have seen in Penang, things are not moving the right way. It is not Dynamic Penang that champion by DAP. Giving roses on International Woman Day didn’t brings any benefit to the financial tsunami in Penang. Lose jobs among the younger generation deprived them a chance to survive. With this hardship going on, will the younger generation continue giving support to PR. With this so called mismanagement in local government and incompetence among State Ministers, will it bring confidence among it people.

Penang people are known for their independent and willing to have a change since their first local government election back in 1951. A change in state government will be a reality if Gerakan change their style and proactive to champion people needs and aspiration. Hopefully Gerakan move on and dare to voice the people aspiration

People’s aspiration is for Gerakan to kick UMNO in the balls….

… but instead UMNO is grabbing Gerakan by its balls…

… So, what for we support you ?

You are the one who let UMNO gain a foothold in Penang, and the reason we vote you out of Penang.
