Not a right move to boycott

This was reported in Malaysiakini yesterday:

According to PKR whip Johari Kassim, eight of the party’s nine councillors had refused to attend this morning’s event in Bukit Mertajam.

Apart from Johari, the others were Che Mat Hashim, Amir Ghazali, Mahamad Hashim, Rynu Shanmugam, Goh Choon Aik, Mohd Kamil Abu Bakar and Zaini Awang

Only Farid Arshad defied the boycott order.

The boycott was called in protest of the appointment of a civil servant to head MPSP.

The vexed councillors claimed that it was agreed previously that a politician would be put at the helm as and until local elections are introduced.

This incident has shown some glaring problems between the partners of the Pakatan coalition. This problem should not have arisen if there is better understanding among the 2 partners.

The appointment of the head of the council is the prerogative of the state government and in this case, it is the state exco. Pakatan exco members should have voiced out any objections in the exco meeting, rather than let this thing happened on the ground.

The problems with Pakatan members, many are exUMNO and many others  rejects from UMNO. The UMNO culture remains strong in them. That is why I suspect that the councillors must be hoping that one of them can become the council president which is a full time job with many perks thrown in.

What more when their state chairman had recently famously said that ‘which politician does not look for opportunity”, when asked about news that one of Gerakan’s VPs is going to cross over to join them.

The PR leadership must view this seriously, and people are watching what PR would do to this act of inobedience. A party must have certain discipline, and unless the top leaders of PR agreed beforehand that they be excused from the swearing in ceremony, they should not have been absent.

I am  personally in favour of having a local govenrment election so that people have their own representatives looking after their local affairs. But since local government election has not come about yet, and the councillors are all political appointees, then there is really othing wrong to appoint a non political person to head the council. The most important criteria in this case is that this head of council must be competent and has ability to serve the people well.

These councillors should observe protocols and rules, and if they wish to protest, they can resign their positions to protest, and not by boycotting a function which they are obliged to attend as a memebr of the council.

There is one aspect in which BN parties can learn from them. In this coalition of PR,  there is no such thing as a dominant party, and the fact that they can quarrel openly means that they are equal partners and there is no dominant party and subservient parties.

If those councillors were from UMNO and the CM is from one of the component parties, it is inconceivable that these councillors’ demand would not be met. BN , if it really wants to reform , can learn a thing or two from all these pakatan quarrels, and UMNO members would do well to treat members of other component parties as equal.

    Dr,

You are right, PKR has to absolve this problem by avoiding recruiting ex-UMNO leaders to prevent hopping back and forth (i.e. Perak) and some of these ex-UMNO’s leadership values are truly lacking.

PKR in recruiting should scout for new capable talents and groom them rather than allowing ex- UMNO to be re-con (like imported foreign cars) or simply re-cycled.

DAP LGE should have consulted PKR before the appointment even though he has the prerogative. Simply that Pakatan coalition should be strengthened and as far as possible avoid hiccups like this. Months ago they had a closed door consultation in Kedah and what’s come out of this, is this boycott. Disappointing.

I am more and more disillusioned with ill disciplined and self interested PKR politicians. While DSAI talks about a new dawn for all Malaysians, his machai are trying to make hay for themselves, whether the sun is shining or not. DAP and PAS politicians are truer to their ideology, and much less materialistic. If PKR were to lead a winning coalition in the next GE, we will have to watch their reps like hawks. We will not replace one corrupt regime for another.

What new dawn for Malaysia? We need competence, accountable and transparency to implement for a better Malaysia for all. BN or PR, people is watching and not close one eye or open one eye.

It is time to implement development for the benefit of the people. That are more urgent issues to overcome than a personal interest . We can read about it at http://www.malaysiainsider.com about this issue.

People will vote for dedicated, capable and passionate leaders who work for betterment of their lives. Many issues are waiting for us to overcome. This episode is just like repeating of political scenario for Penang

“which politician does not look for opportunity”, this famous dictum is in fact differentiate:-

a politician who is genuine with people at heart, who earn a decent living through politics,

    and

a politician who constantly seeking for ‘opportunity’ for himself, herself or ‘HEEself’.

Pakatan Rakyat need to get rid of the second group politician.

On this boycott, these opportunists may got some carrots from BN. Who knows?

LGE must have made a thorough study for not selecting one of them, perhaps based on their mentality and job performance.

I am sure he must have visited MPSP and have seen the condition and the state it is in…particularly on the payment vouchers approved and signed by councillors..job completed but not done…same as all umno councillors… Never see them at all. In some places the ppl don’t even know or recognise their councillors.

LGE must have got lots of feed back from JKKK and JKKD.

Meng, you could be right. LGE is likely to choose a competent candidate based on meritocracy. Any sensible leader should have done what LGE did.

He should have also sounded convincingly to PKR top brass and if that has been done and agreed upon, those who boycotted should be disciplined.

Many PKR leaders being ex-UMNO supporters don’t deserve to be in the coalition. And UMNO like a H!NI virus will take opportunity to get inside the “wound” and spread its divisive disease. It’s a matter of time, more defection could be possible exploiting the unhappiness.

Discipline of members is a problem within PKR and its leaders need a lot of wisdom to take care of this problem. Otherwise, these problematic members will hold the leaders at ransom like threaten to defect to other party. Another example is the MP Zul who demonstrated at Bar Council. Up to now, no discipline action is taken. When come to discipline problem, it should not be solved by compromise but to hold on to the principle.

Compare to DAP and PAS, their members are definitely more discipline than PKR. I am personally impressed on how orderly their assembly is conducted like what we see today. Their speeches are of more substance than that of Umno.

PKR Penang Chief should lead with good example to his subordinate and not stick to his old Umno mentality. There is a Chinese saying which carry the meaning of if a leader is not disciplined, what you expect of his subordinates?

Appointment to a position should be on merit ground and not allocation by quota to political parties. If not, you are not better than BN.

In this respect, to me, the post of DCM1 and DCM2 carry no meaning at all. But, due to Umno mentality could not be discarded at one go, LGE has to allow that at the moment.

Meritocracy, Multiracial and the concept of CAT should be the way to go, and adopted by Pakatan Rakyat, in party and in government.

Disgusted, I should say LGE must put his foot down and those councillors Who cannot follow the CM instructions should be replaced or sacked.

Are their appointment for a 2 years period…as in the BN states, I hope so.

I do not know when politicians cross over, are they given a thorough grounding on the party’s constitution, concept and the theme they fight for. Or is it just crossover, shake hands, sign the form and thats it…you are a member now. If so you have lots of Zul, Aminah ronggeng and the 7 clowns.

No doubt open arguement as mentioned by Dr Hsu are good but there are certain boundaries and guidelines to be followed. I would expect an arguement prior to implementation is the way to do it. After all the arguement and a decision is made it must be respected and accepted by all. This is healthy way and not later back biting and create an atmosphere of mistrust.

Without any sound standing operating procedures or guidelines the members becomes ill discipline.

During recon of ex umno members, defective spare parts fitted and screws not tighten, is what we are seeing now in PKR today…just like a badly recon car, noisy and sluggish and unreliable

    Dear Dr. Hsu,

Are you really a Gerakan member? With this latest article you sounded more of a DAP spokeperson than a Gerakan member.

Whether PKR councillors boycotted the swearing in of the new MPPP President’s is not really a Gerakan problem…it’s PR problem.

Perhaps after winning at the last party election, the position you are holding is getting to your head to be goody two shoes for your so called supporters than your own party members who put you in at your present party position.

Whatever it is, Gerakan Penang has become an opposition force since after 308…why then in this article do you sounded more engrossed with PR’s problem and not your own party’s problem?

Whether it’s right or not…who are we to say…unless of course you are their invisible PR supporter, are you?

Please do remember that Gerakan are an opposition party (within BN) in Penang, Kedah, Selangor, KLFT and Kelantan.

I have ever had the opinion that PKR is the weaker bone amongst the three main pillars of PR coalition.
Weak in the sense of the quality of the members and not their quantity.

It’s also undeniably true that Anwar was forced to adopt most of the Umno sympathizers, they had shown supports when during he was head he only played second fiddle in Umno, when got into the mire, all those were the defectors from Umno to support him form the Party -PKR. So, they are the so-called strong backbones in the Party but invariably a weaker bone in PR as a whole due to their complexity in background and the many varieties of political agenda hiding up their sleeves!

That’s the reason many of them have used to be the frogs they can simply leap frog back to Umno the moment they cannot withstand the money temptation as a bait Umno will lure. Provided they are worthy of the Umno’s cheap serenade!

The boycott of a non-political YDP clearly shown that colors of greed and lust for power usual to the Umno goons’ behaviors! The leopard can hardly change its spots, and so do the ex-Umno goons!

What worries the rakyat who supported PR is that, if Anwar is incapable of re-orientating the mindsets of these greedy swines, as they have shown their power craziness, PKR may just doomed to become Umno the 3rd, so much so that may be discarded by the disappointing rakyat!

An intellectual and matured politician sees things in a correct manner. He has wide outlook and able to differentiate between good and bad. What is good need to be praised and perhaps learn a few points here and there.

What is bad..the reasons and why it has had happened and the contributing factors would further educate or perhaps widen his scope in the administration of man. Learn from ones own mistake and the mistake of others as the saying goes and be man enough to admit ones mistake.

How many of the BN politician has this caliber.? Majority are of the attitude of ugly and silent red faces when good performance and governance surface infront of them. To open one mouth of praise is to admit defeat, so keep mum, jealous, build up more hatred and waiting to pounce when a mistake is made by the ruling party…is/are the attitude of BN politician.

Many lessons are learnt and kept by the opposition and later progressing to be the ruling party, these lessons are unleashed to have its full effect for the good of those being governed. However teething problems do arise periodically.

We need more matured and intellectual politician in the likes of Dr Hsu

    Gerakan newbie,
I have been called a gerakan loyalist, since I am loyal to the party ideology of a fair and equal society. Being loyal to ideology, I might not necessarily agree with all the action of the top leadership if they veer from this ideology.

I want to see Gerakan rise again. Read the last 2 paragraphs of this post. AM I not talking the truth? How to rise again if we continue to be viewed as subservient?

A good parent would be strict with his children so that they grow up to be a useful person. I love my party and that is why I am critical of some of its actions.

My comments on PR is based on facts. As an opposition in the state, we do not need to oppose anything or everything,.. that is very wrong. A political party must always place people’s interest first.. So in the appointment of the council head, am I wrong in saying that the most important criteria is to be competent and able to serve the people well? What is wrong with that?

If the party places people interest first, ironically it will get more support…. that is the way to win the hearts of the people, not by opposing everything for the sake of opposing or become a sycophants for certain leaders…

Political parties are tools to achieve certain aims, in our case, how to achieve a fair and equal society…

    Gerakan newbie
The last sentence especially holds the key of how the people will view us.

I have mentioned to our top leader many times that he must push for UMNO to recognise the fact that they must treat other component parties on an equal terms. They cannot just shoot down anyone who voice out the views of the people that UMNO may not agree.

For example, in the case of CHin Peng, THN suggested that he be allowed back and that is just an opinion, why go to the extent of crucifying him in the media?

Regardless of whether we agree with THN or not, it is his basic right to express his opinion, and his right must be respected even if wee disagree with his views.. In this case, I happen to agree that view, even though I may not agree with the way he handles the views of the grassroots in other issues..

Our constitution clearly states that freedom of speech must be respected. So why as a fellow partner of the coalition, some of the UMNO chiefs are attacking him on this CHin Peng issue? Are these UMNO leaders helping Gerakan or destroying Gerakan’s credibility in the eyes of the public, you tell me?

In the case of Sdri Tan Lian Hoe, she was crucified left and right last year for her speech in the NDC. WHy go to that extent if UMNO members really want to help Gerakan to gain back the support of voters?

And when I defend Sdri Tan in party meetings and in my writings, am I not doing the right thing, since we are not ‘pendatang’ but rather actual citizens in this country as defined and protected by our Federal COnstitution?

In politics, answer to your own conscience and that is how to can gain the support of the people for the party, not by opposing anything or everything..

One last word before I sign off, Gerakan Newbie, if you really love the party, do you think the party can survive the next election based on the direction that the party is taking now?

HAve you talked to the people on the ground, doing informal surveys like I did among my patients, and how much support we still get now?

In our traditional seats, more than 80% of non Malay voters have abandoned us, and half the urban Malays are against us…and this percentage rises when more young voters get registered.

The only way for the party to survive is to go back to its ideology and voice out loudly within BN against things that are wrong and against our ideology.. So what if we are expelled from BN if we remain true to our ideology? To die for the ideology is better to die as a sycophant .

Are our members allowed to do so without getting a show course letter?

When Jesus was dying on the cross, he prayed “..
Forgive them for they know not what they do.”

This was with reference to the people who put him to death. These were the Jews of Judea and the Romans. These people were born, grew up and taught to be what they were. That was how they behaved cruelly towards Jesus.

The SOBs in PKR Penang were the same. They dont know they are behaving wrong. They were born, grew and taught in an entitlement environment. In UMNO they were taught that they can expect to a high government post when they get into a senior party post. The entitlement and expectation mental state caused by their upbringing blinded to the error of they ways. It blinded them to the evil of their behavior. Because they know no other ways.

Jesus was different. He was what he was. We are human. In our human way, we will not forgive these PKR SOBs. We will hound them till they change. If they dont change, we will throw them out, just as we threw the last buggers out.

    Very well said, Dr. Hsu.

Loyalty should be on ideology, not on party or party leaders. This is the first thing a politician should has to be above partisan politics.

In the first instance, the town councilor positions should be filled up by civilian and not politician, but this practice has been abused by Umno & BN which resulting in councilors are not impartial in executing their roles especially in awarding contracts to maintain the township under its respective jurisdiction. This is one of the reason why partisan politics are so rampant among members of political parties even at grassroots level. This also resulting in the mess we see when PR took over state government in Penang, Kedah, Selangor, where loyalty of town councilors still remain with their ex-masters.

So, top party leaders of PR should have the wisdom to change this bad practices inherited from Umno and BN, and to give back the duty of running town councils to civilians. There supposed to have local council elections but this involves technicality adjustment at Federal level, and because of this, the next best option is to elect qualified civilians to fill up the positions like what Lim Guan Eng did.

For this, Lim Guan Eng earned my respect for being impartial and professional. Bravo.

Few days ago, it so happened I had my tea session with few of the Gerakan youth wing leaders, in it, we talked about the recent spat between THN and Huan.

The first question I threw to the naive youths was, had they all lost their bloody conscience since Gerakan had been at helm by the eunuchs, and more, they have been lost in direction on how to behave a discipline and effective youth movement on the flank of the Party leaders, to defense them and save them on issues benefiting the Party’s ideology in the event any opposition or unruly attacks, be it from the BN components or the oppositions…They have failed to do their task!

I see only all the betrayals and insubordination and the full dispose of their dignities, just over the little goodies of – the appointment of Co-ordinators, with some appointments not according to their whims and fancies, they resorted to personal attacks and publicly, the three weeks quitter even expressed his concurrence with the Umno goons to bash and crucify THN, instead of supporting him due to his courage to speak out disagreement with the racist Umno goons, a macho reveal that Gerakan has the guts to say No, no more sissy-like!

This action of THN, according to the several youth leaders, they are in support of Teng’s courage to express his opinion which was beneficial to the Party’ image that – Gerakan – has begun to let the voters hear some macho voice instead of the ever eunuch-like subservient behavior!

Probably Gerakan Newbie is not only new in the Party but a novice in politics where he didn’t see and learned from his forefathers the true spirit of political struggle – “for the sake of the peoples they should serve” – to the contrary, the new and younger generation have engaged themselves in the disarray of rent seeking for powers and positions to place them on the higher rung. The appointment of the so-called Coordinators is one good test cube to test the resilience of the grassroot leaderships and Huan and his supporters had failed, in this test!

Instead of reinventing Gerakan with a new and convincing new character in BN, the Gerakaners are still in the deep blue fancy dreaming that by being appointed the Co-ordinator, it’s a golden path for them to walk as a shadow YB and that they could be appointed as the future candidates for the constituency one is appointed!

The question is, have they gone through the survey or referendum to find out what the general vox-pop is being directed ?! By behaving like some mischievous monkeys and in the charades of showing the ‘thumb down’ postures in the public can win back the hearts of the revolting voters of Penang?…..Against the CAT governance?……

The must be still dreaming in the reverie!

Any politician or leader worth his or her salt should FIRST be loyal to his/her own conscience. Remember you were born and will die with it.

The party DON’T DIE with you. You die WITH your conscience!

Second, calling ourselves, Gerakan, MCA, PKR or DAP members is in truth, only subscribing to the noble objectives of the particular party.

BUT when the leaders behave or deviate from the party objectives or act as though he OWNS the party, what is the point of carrying that LOYALTY that defies your own conscience?

Like in a marriage, couples staying physically together but without the love and compassion for each other. Being a party member, or leader, must have the “balls” (or guts) to stay true to the party’s objectives, and NOT to your party emperor.

I don’t know, everybody dies but I like to die in peace with my companion, called “spiritual conscience.”

So some stupid people say, “Oh, you objected, you don’t sound like a Gerakan member.” What a bullshit in rationale thinking.

    Dr. Hsu

In my opinion, the recent uproar about Chin Peng has nothing to do with the war against the communist. It has nothing to do with what the blog you mentioned said.

The whole fireworks by UMNO has to do with present day politics. I would suggest we treat this thing as what it really is. This is UMNO propaganda to rouse the anger of the Malay community and others who had suffered during this time. The whole purpose is raise emotions to get support.

This technique was explained very well when the evil galactic emperor was trying to win over Luke Skywalker to the dark side. Bad emotions – anger, fear, revenge would cause Luke to move over to the dark side of the Jedi force.

Simarly, UMNO is trying to get people to the dark side of politics, its side..

Why dont they ban Mainlad Chinese from coming to Malaysia. After all CCP essential control the communist part of Malaysia? Why should Najib be in China.

    Dr. Hsu,

This is exactly what I commented before. The government need to honour the terms and conditions of a contract signed, which in this case, an International Treaty sponsored by The Kingdom of Thailand.

Not honouring the commitment will leave a very bad taste to the country’s reputation in the eyes of international community.

We are proud of Malaysia Boleh, but not ‘Boleh’ to such an extent of not honouring a treaty signed. Malaysia should allow Chin Peng to return.

    Dr,

I missed some points. There are as many boot lickers, “ball-carriers” and “suckers fanning horses’ arses (after it farted) as ants walking the earth.

In Cantonese called, “pak ma bie” slaves exist in every party from the Opposition to the ruling regime. Probably more in ruling regime (for goodies, and ice -cream, jobs, posts, rewards etc) for those sub-ordinates sucking up to their leaders.

You politely called them “yes” men. I called them “scums.”

If the supreme leader claimed the “earth is square”, the ABCs (abbrev for assistant balls=carrier) will acknowledge, “Yes, Sir, the earth is indeed square.” (Even he knows it is not).

There is no greater FOOL than blind loyalty. This type of so-called leaders separate themselves thinking, “I am Gerakan, they are PKR”, so we can’t criticize our own party leadership mistakes.”

Pigeon-hole facts and truth, separating themselves into labels, Gerakan and MCA is an illusion (in truth). Ideological differences exist for convenience but often in truth, is pure stupidity.

To ordinary people, a wooden “chair” is different from a wooden table, cos’ of the shape. To the scientists, and chemists, IT IS STILL WOOD, for heaven’s sake!

What’s in a name, ha, haaaaa.

In truth, Gerakan, MCA, PKR eventually melts together called “politics” and analysed as “human nature.” Whatever name does not matter. It stinks to the core.

Finally, the BN is using old wounds to create suspicion and unrest. This was what caused the war in Kosovo. Remember the word ethnic cleansing. Yes, it came from the conflict in the Balkans.

The politicians in the Balkans – Bosnia, Serba, Alabania etc, used the old wounds from centuries past to create divisions within the population to consolidate their powers. The result was horrible racial and religious wars.

    Sidetrack a bit here,

I think no one really understand PAS from the day of its inception. Umno, with the aid of BN parties had been using the media that controlled by them to the maximum, to demonise PAS and put fear in non-Muslim and at the same time, painted DAP as a Chinese chauvinist party to the Malays. But, with the emergence of internet and alternative media, these fears had been minimised, of course not yet eliminated totally since these demonisation was there since BN was formed.

PAS’s victory in the last 308 GE has opened their eyes that, without the support of non-Muslim, in particular the Chinese Malaysian, the best that they can perform is at Malay heartlands like Kelantan, Kedah & Trengganu. The 308 GE victory, their non-Muslim votes were mainly through DAP and PKR, and not by their own. Then, because of Nizar and Perak fiasco, non-Muslim have learned the other side of PAS that never come into their minds, and the rest is history. Subsequent bye-elections had proven that. Nizar, become a hero and well like person in the eyes of all Malaysian and PAS members in particular. His 85% votes is the testimony for this.

With these successes, I don’t think PAS is so silly to deny this trend but have opened their eyes the important of non-Muslim supports directly through itself, and not through DAP & PKR. PAS immediate recognition of its non-Muslim supporters club, which they plan to make it a wing in the next six month, is a testimony for this.

I view such development as healthy and this will balance-up the power equation in Pakatan Rakyat, that no one party is dominant of the other like what we seen in BN.

Husam will still play his role despite of his lose in the No.2 race because his views are well received by all. People can still access to his views through his blog. I foresee Husam can go far. The pressure is on Hadi and Nasharuddin to perform to Malaysian expectations, especially the non-Muslim Chinese Malaysians.

Wars or conflict cause many sufferings. My grand uncle died because of the Japs in Malaya. What about the Indons during Confrontation against the formation of Malaysia. Although I was very young, I can remember my relative who was born in China was called up and to be enlisted into the Malaysian Army by Tengku Government in case Sukarno invade Malaysia. Imagine, one born in China, they just want them to defend the formation of Malaysia! There were also sirens and some civil defense practices. The Indons parchuted into Labis, Johore. Also the worst is in Sarawak where Indon made constant attacks. The Pommies, Aussies and New Zealanders were also helping to flush them out. But any records about the Malay Reg? So in a way am I supposed not to have these people in Malaysia?

But, if you need any advice, I will rather encourage you to invest your time in doing more good causes for yourself and the family, more so if you can, be more constructive to the society and national unity kind of good deeds.

To participate in the rally together with the mobs and the racist morons on the street is sheer waste of time and meaningless which only means to prove how low mentality we are and uncivilized enough to stage such a fruitless yet stupid demonstration!

Didn’t the high court already ruled out that Chin Peng had already lost his privilege to migrate back to our beloved land?! Can he return to this land and how? Unless he recruits back all his past comrades and fight us in the jungle again! Then the return of the communist.

Can he anyway? At the age of 86 years, he’s dying already, like our TDM! He’s no more threat to any of us the peace and justice lovers and law abiding citizens! But, Mahathirism, yes!

Whether you like him or not is immaterial and all his sins, if any, will have been recorded in history. The only fact I know is, Chin Peng’s return to Malaysia is cut and dried, based on the court verdict, Chin Peng is not allowed to enter our boundary, not even an inch!

So why all those stupid time wasting outlaw activity of rally which only stoke unnecessary emotions to hurt the feelings of other brethren in this pluralistic Nation – our Country – Malaysia?!

Don’t forget our tourist attraction propaganda – Malaysia, truly Asia….And, by demonstrating on the streets, burn effigy, throw shoes etc….It will only make our State looks lousy and barbaric!

My relative (adopted into the family) from China was asked to be enlisted to defend the formation of Malaysia against Indon who speak the local language and practise the similar culture here. Now UMNO call us as Pendatangs. This is difference with Singapore and USA (also heard from a Malay friend studied in USA) who give full citizenship who enlist into the defence force.

It doesnt work to gain UMNO’s support by bringing communist issue. The court said one thing, but UMNO is wanting to fan up. I know becoz UMNO frends in Penang are working cooking up issues. This people are desperate.

I just had lunch in one UMNO frends house past 3 months turned warung. He had no projects since March2008 and the wife had to open a waraung to make a living.

i can never forget my granduncle fingers went missing due chin peng’s to the day he was “kafan” & “kebumikan”.

Is it wrong/uncomfortable to some that i express in this blog brutality of communism to my granduncle? Is it not right to tell the truth?

    Atila,

There are probably some political goons here in this forum who wish to use it as a battle ground to belittle his/their rivals and thus, THN has become one target for his rival faction to bash and to shoot at!

I merely treat Dr Hsu as a respectable blogger friend and a Gerakan member who is at least righteous enough to speak up – a spade is a spade and till far, portrays a stand of non-partisan. He is one Gerakaner I respect after Tun Lim, my admired Dato Sri Woon, Dr Toh…scantily count down the list.

THN and Huan’s rivalry and spat is totally out of my concerns and no issue to me, i treated it as a normal dog fight, which happens everywhere in the cheap political scenario in Bolehland, amongst the mongrel type of politicians!

Yes, I agree that I am not too happy with the thickly hazed political atmosphere in this sickening environment where your friends may be desperately finding alternative jobs to supplement their running down financial status. Youngish graduates coming out to the society to find jobs and landing in the logjam situation of waiting for reply and probably to no avail. Finding income to buy rice and bread for the family has become a problem…and all these are not only suffering your friends or relatives but mine as well!….

Who to blame? The idiotic and mediocre political leaders who are leading all of us to doom and to hell! Whilst others are focusing all their efforts and pooling all resources to help activate the doldrums of national economy, the morons and wannabe martyrs are still in their lunatic fringe think fit that they should instigate and incite racial rifts amongst the suffering rakyat for the ulterior motive of earning political mileages! They the filthy corrupts would have no problem for themselves to sit on the national coffer and enjoy lavish lives with the looted wealth whatsoever!

The past is the past, unless you can change history, lets then forget about the past which literally has got no impact on our present lives! Amongst most of our forefathers, who didn’t suffer enough during the communist era? More worst suffering during the most fiendish Japanese occupation, had any of our great grandpa exempted from being tortured to death, physically and spiritually?! Not only your uncles and your family had been traumatized, it includes peoples at large!

We with pea brain is our own threat! If it thinks of all negative, not an iota positive will be charged! Only the rubbish of negative thinking, hatred elements which will fill the pea head and make it swell, thus the swollen head was named!

As I read your comments, i found some sentiments of hatred that you blamed Chin Peng as a Chinese more than the communist and this is disastrous to a young and new Malay like you! In no time, when much of these negative element of hatreds get into your little tainted brain, it will swell into a balloon of racist content and you will become one like those cultist of Umnoism, a hopeless racist! This does not augur well for a self address new Malay who says who is one step ahead of the Umno bigotted minds!

To forgive is divine… If we can forgive Japanese war atrocities, we can forgive Communist cruelty. Time heals everything. War and conflict will always be with us and man will be cruel to his fellow man if the need arises for that is his nature. It is a timeless issue, not one couched in ethnic, ideological or political overtones. The issue of Chin Peng is nothing but a red herring manipulated by selfish politicians. If I was Chin Peng, I forgive those who will not allow me to return for I understand their pain. What I cannot understand is their hypocrisy in allowing some of my other comrades to return and the Malaysian government not honoring our agreement. Just to share with all here my observation on the just concluded PAS assembly,

I have a kind of funny feeling that there are some ‘mismatch’ between the election results on the one hand, and resolutions passed / debates during the assembly on the other. The mismatches are,

    a) Nasharuddin 46% votes vs Nizar 85% votes, yet Husam lose

    b) delegates overwhelming support no talk with Umno yet, President and his deputy keep saying PAS should keep option open with Umno

    c) Nizar 85% votes, yet we see resolution passed to ban SIS

    d) Tok Guru Nik Aziz & delegates support for nothing to do with Umno, yet Nasharuddin said Tok Guru is not PAS.

Elements of extremism and arrogance in attitude are still in existence with PAS…..No clear direction, funny…

External threats panetrating PAS…? Quite likely….Pakatan needs to sort out these ‘mismatches’ to hold on together.
