A legend passes away

                                                    michael jackson

One of the most talented singers and performers in the world, Michael Jackson , passed away this morning.

Crowned the “most successful entertainer of all times”, Michael Jackson was a legend. Who can forget  songs like ‘Ben’, ‘ Beat it’, ‘Black and white’, ‘BIlly Jean’, just to name a few, and of course the charity song that he co-wrote with Lionel Richie “We are the World”  which was released to aid the poor in Africa.

Whether you like him or not, there is no escape of the fact that he had a huge influence on music and culture not only in the States and also all over the world.  Millions grew up listening to his songs and watching his dances.

He had his shares of personal problems in life, but I suspect a lot of the eccentricities reported were due to childhood unhappiness ( some said he had no childhood since as a child, he had to perform), but those problems did not diminish his status as the “King of Pop”, and did not alter the fact that his songs and dances, the hallmark ‘moonwalk’, were unique and often trend setters.

So it is real sad to hear that he had died of cardiac arrest. His spirits live on, and his songs and dances will be with us for generations to come.

Humanity has lost a great son! What more can I say except a silent wish:

‘May his soul rest in peace !’

Despite his quirkiness, he is one in a million. It still hasnt quite sink in. I’m still in a state of disbelief. Michael Jackson is gone. Farrah Fawcet the golden girl of Charlie Angels is also gone. Isnt it quaint?

Michael made a lot of mistakes with adverse publicity of child molest but cannot deny that he is the greatest of all time. It was a sad thing to see him degrade himself towards the later years. His actions were very bizarre, but he was human; falliable just like the rest of us.

I grew up on his music. “Ben” will live in my heart. I adore the song, so soulful. So tragic to see him go like that. A legend like John Lennon and Elvis Presley. He will truly be missed. Yes may his soul rest in peace.

All giants no matter what their career and profession are not immortals.

But they leave a behind legacy, a legacy potpourri of tragic and unique moments of success. But in all the human strengths and weaknesses.

Perhaps, politicians who are drinking the nectar of power should learn a lesson or two. That their self perceived immortality is nothing but like morning dew evaporating under the first ray of the sun.

And like karmic forces, it strikes abruptly and unexpectedly to remind Man that the their worldly power of fame and power is only transient, in life and as well as in death.

Childhood dreams had been too much the nightmares for Michael, he had no childhood good time remembrance, but all the sad stories of being a victim of child abuse, by his own father!

Yet he rose to be a great man, despite all the odds and the defamatory alleged child molestation, he is still the ‘King of the pops’, an icon in the showbiz and music industry with unprecedented record and popularity, for at least decades to find a matching role! He’s the music!…….

Almost half the world peoples adore him!

Over here, almost half the population of Penangites do not adore him! Why?!

    I mean KTK!

The best way to destroy a great fame other than to reveal someone’s corruption, the sex scandal is another option which effectively will do the job!

Politicians and celebrities are the bull’s eyes of these tactics!

America is a Country which practices universal rule of law and openness democracy, no one truly is above the law. Anyone who breached the law will have to answer for his crime, Michael Jackson had also been handcuffed to court until he was proven not guilty, but almost lost his entire fortune! Mike Tyson being the mighty and strong like a bull, had also experienced the life of an inmate in the cell due to his public misbehavior and abuse of his fistic power!

It only will happens in America and other more advanced and democratic Nations, not semi!

In Bolehland, there is always other options. Say what you like, the corrupted one can always play innocent boy and in denial of non-committal of the alleged corruption, graft, pilferage or pillage of national wealth, sex scandals and even murder, there is always other option as I said, no need to go to court, no handcuffs on the white gloves, just…….

Yes, just find yourself a holy book somekind and put one of the hand on the cover and utter some mantra or words, something like performing confession but in the open, not behind curtain!

Hey presto, you got it, you are innocent and you are free to continue with your career as the big enchilada or the world renowned celebrity!

    I love Malaysia!

    daffodils,

I like most of MJ’s songs, especially the ballads like Ben, which is one of the most moving songs ever composed.

Well, I went through some of the Michael’s videos in yotube tonight, and what a musical talent he was.

We will all miss him greatly..

I am not much of a fan of MJ. But the following from CNN caught my eye.

LONDON, England (CNN) — How many people does it take to break the Internet? On June 25, we found out it’s just one — if that one is Michael Jackson.

The Internet is not ready to handle the death of MJ.

He was so mesmerizing. He was incomparable. He was too young to die. The world has lost a great talent. There is nobody quite like him. Michael Jackson is awesome. Michael jackson is one of the greatest singer and without a doubt the greastest dancer ever.

It’s hard to imagine he’s gone. I grew up listening to Michael and his music brings back so many good memories. I went to bed with my phone and listen to all of Michael’s hits. He had so much talent and so much more to give to us. He will be missed dearly. God bless Michael even as he is laid to rest.
