Manek Urai byelection

The fight for the byelection in Manek Urai has officially started. It is between UMNO and PAS.

I met an old friend last night, and invariably we talked about the by election.

This is his view:

The more by election the big brother  loses, the better will be the chance for change nationally. If they lose again this byelection, then the grassroots members inside Big brother will start pushing for more changes. SO pray hard for the big brother to lose.

That about sums up the views of a lot of people whom I have spoken to the last few days…

Both UMNO and PAS are race base party. It will be interesting to listen to their arguments on NEP, “Bumiputera rights” , equal rights and be the champions for the Malays but at the same time not to hurt other races.

    Hi Michael,
Hopefully there won’t be any racist comments from both sides in this by election.

    Dr Hsu,
We all hope there won’t be any racist comments but in the past by elections racist issues were used to garner support by the campaigners in the rural areas. Lets hope this round is different and hopely we can see true 1 Malaysia politics !

This election is about Good versus Evil. Spiritual Righteousness against Forces of Darkness. Optimus Prime versus Megatron. There can be no quarters given. PAS must thriump. Or we are back to the drawing board.

Umno has no issue to play with. That is why they created “unity government” issue to play in this Manek Urai bye-election.

PR-PAS is sure to win in this bye-election judging from the turnout during the nomination day.

I read somewhere, Zaid Ibrahim’s ceramah in a kampung in Negri Sembilan attracted huge turnout while no one attended a free for all dinner organised by Rais Yatim.

“Last night over 400 villagers gave Rais’s dinner a miss and turned up at the small community hall to listen to Zaid, who joined PKR last month”

From this, we can see Umno is in deep shit….

This nation needs Changes. The only way is to kick UMNO out and to send a strong message to PM that he is not voted in by the people, so wake up and stop all the blunder he’s made for the past three months as PM.
UMNO must be buried for the sake of Malaysia. The option is limited either UMNO/BN out or Malaysia will destroyed sooner or later.

The changes made by Najib are most welcome and should continue until the next GE. But Najib will naive to expect the immediate change of heart by fence sitters. Umno and their component beggars need to be taught a lesson by being an Opposition for at least two terms.

Man U by-election? Put it simply, we all know people voted against BN the last GE as a sign to protest not support of PR. Many ambitious young professionals and students, netizens love the rhetorics and activites played by PR esp Anwar. Some leaders in Umno/Bn are too corrupted and arrogant was another main factor.

PM is working hard to change but the most difficult is corruption esp on the division napoleans. PKR will pakat wth UMNO people to bring Najib down esp if he can improve the nation economy and well-being.

Open our eyes and judge rationally, to kick umno out will destroy the country esp if PR to govern (many will dispute tis) I am convinced. Instead support PM’s ideal and maintain a prosperous and stable nation is the best. All PR knows is to blame BN for everything and bark without realising they r the state govts. Anwar is the best actor of all – check his background/history.

Best candidate for Man U is Alex Ferguson.
