Another by election

Another by election? I can’t believe my eyes when I read the breaking news.

There will be another by election as PAS State Assemblyman in Permatang Pasir died this morning in IJN. This is one of the 3 state seats in Anwar’s Parliamentary constituency.

This will be the 8th by election after March 2008, in a period less than one and a half year. It will be interesting to see how the parties fare this time. I do not think there will be another walkover like  the neighbouring Penanti.

Umno claimed that they have regained voters confidence from the the narrow lost to PAS in Manik Urai. This coming byelection will prove or indicate otherwise.

500 to 1000 each in MU..has done the job for umno. The stake will be increased to 1000 to 1500 each in Anwar’s Parliamentary constituency or perhaps higher..just to rub Anwar’s nose.

Loyalty vs cash..which way will it go…will be an indicator for change or not.

    God must be testing us.

This is good for Malaysia. More by-election the better.

    Condolences to family of Hamdan.

Seems Parliamentary seat of Permatang Pauh wnd the 3 state seats under it are all by-election materials.

1st we have Permatang Pauh, then Penanti and now Permatang Pasir….next Seberang Perai?????? No malice intended to “White Hair – Peh Mor” Hope the buck will stop with this last byelection in Penang. Would love it if there are byelections in Selangor for state seats…..Toyol dare to resign?

Its good to gauge the support for PAS after all the hassle on the “unity Govt” issues. As this is a semi urban seat with a sizable non Malay voter size, lets see if the non Malay will stick with PR but looking at things as it is, guess CM Lim Guan Eng’s good govenance in the Penang Stae will ensure the Chinese voters stay with PR.

However, PAS should wake up from their slumber honeymoon of trying to get into co-horts with BN and tell BN that PAS will stick with TGNA’s advice to stay away from UMNO. “Pergi Jahanam UMNO”

    Majulah PR.

To me, Manek Urai was never an indication that BN has regained lost ground. It was not a PAS stronghold although PAS won it many times due to the popularity of their candidate, the late Ismail Yaacob. When Ismail did not contest in 2004, PAS lost it by 53 votes.

Personality, local politics and fence sitters dominated in Manek Urai. That BN could not wrest this seat from PAS in a focused by-election with all their underhanded tactics and at a time when PAS was weakened by factionalism and confusion over unity talks shows BN’s continuing unpopularity.

Well, this by-election will be a test of whether the analysts who jumped on the Manek Urai bandwagon are right.

The real test would be a byelection held in a current umno held constituency… but nature was not kind. Seems those corrupted cows have a longer lifespan than poor old PAS Aduns.

Sheeech!!, waiting day and night for a fatten cow to die…but still graze and grazing away the poor raayats takings…but the feelings in me says umno/Bn will be next….to a subsequent byelection.

Haaa, haaaa Cilipidi. Yes, the record has been broken with the most by-elections. If you think this is it, you are dead wrong…..well, maybe 1 or 2 more coming.

Until B-END drops dead at the next round but I am afraid for the worse, devils don’t drop dead suddenly.

But wait for the disaster first……karma

We cannot use Manek Urai slim victory as a gauge to say that Pas has lost their ground in Kelantan. As far as by-election in Kelantan was concerned since 1997, Pas had not won any of it if someone can kindly confirm this with stats. So even the slim win in MU was considered a sweet victory.

Now in this case, Permatang Pasir, would bn has the guts to give another walk over since it is Anwar’s stronghold ? Spare us the tax payers the agony of funding all the police personnel, military and workers for this by-election.

one thing pas needs to do is make sure their candidates are healthy and able to last until the next election. Not only to avoid byelections but to make sure they can serve the people well. What is the point of electing someone who is too sick to work.

More to come by……Malaysia never failed in entertaining us politically…. Another problem N got to face….N can avoid man made forces, but not natural forces.

Natural justice prevails, truth is there. Where to run?

Fatten cows are meant to be slaughtered for consumption!! They don’t die a natural death!!

Likewise BN (UMNO) must be slaughtered for they will never die!

Now we know why UMNO nearly won the Manek Urai by-election!! You know why?
To give them a false confidence so as to lose pants-down in Permatang Pasir!!

Looking for the treasure at the end of the rainbow.

PR is ever looking for by-elections. Most of them are full time politicians. So they are relishing it.

Although it is unfortunate that of their adun should passed away[which is certain to all of us one day], it is also a GOOD opportunity for them to put forward a Better candidate than in a GE.

As for UMNO, no doubt, they are euphoric over their slim lost at M Urai. So let the people of P Pasir decides.

    A true Malaysian,

    “You eat beef? I don’t.”

Meat is meat in whatever form. You may not agree, but never mind, eat what you like, and don’t eat those that you don’t like. So long as you don’t go throw innocent people down the windows!!
