Deputy PM was quoted to say that “MCA” does not belong to OTK or CSL.
He is right.
In fact, any association of 2 or more members should rightly belong to all its members.
The bigger is the association, the more members it will have, and the more differences of opinion will be there.
In a democracy, differences of opinion are solved by one man one vote system , and whoever gets more men or votes on his side will have his opinion prevailing over other opinions which get less votes. Simple like ABCs.
IN the case of MCA EGM, OTK and CSL each got about 49% of votes of the members, and those who decided to kick BOTH out together had less than 2% o votes.
So logic again dictates that since no man gets more than 50% of support, it will be best to go back to the members and let them decide.
ANy leadership that is democratic must be chosen from the grassroots and not among the top leaders themselves.
As I see it, there is only one way to go for MCA, and that is to seek the grassroots’ opinion again as to who should lead them..
