    Dr Hsu,

TQ for all those good wishes for 2010. You seem to have covered almost everything a person could wish for in a new year, except change in the political scene for a better Malaysia. Looks like you really mean to avoid politically tinged comments for the time being. In any event, best wishes for the new year.

My wish is for a Better Malaysia where there is Justice, Rule of Law, Equality, Fairness, Freedom and Respect for minorities. Dr, wishing you and everybody a new year. Serious asspirations and wishful thinking and of course, Hope. The illusive emotion we all have and need.

And the bottomline is always like, “the whole problem with this whole world is always the “HOLE.”

Potholes in the road, holes in the ozone atmosphere, holes in the government spending, black hole in project expenditures, holes in the poor man’s pockets, holes in brains of politicians, holes in roof tops, rat holes in your garden ground, holes ih the heart of the unfortunate, but….everything said and done, Not all holes are bad.

But still, i 2010, watch out for the HOLE.

Best wishes and hope all of us don’t get suck into these bad holes. For golfers, wish you luck with your 18-hole game.

    Dr. Hsu,

I sincerely hope to read more articles from you in the year 2010. Human being human, we have our own strength and weaknesses, different ways of expressing views, different stands, temperament and so on. For someone like you that never say a word of “four letter words”, which is very rare, people may see this as your weakness, but to me, it is something that all of us should have. After all, what good do we get from using four letter words?

As I said, frustrations are all over. That include Umno, Gerakan, DAP, PAS, PKR, MCA and so on, for not getting what they want. But, if all parties can put aside self interests and work towards common interests for all, then, these frustrations can be eliminated, or at least minimised. Just imagine, even in this Forum of yours, we see frustrations, what about the whole country?

This coming year of 2010, I wish to see solid changes, both politically and economically as we are far far behind many countries, and if we use our energy for uncivilised politics, we will still be bearing the bad results, not others.

Last but not least, I know you are not lacking in anything. I admire you have good children and family. Still, I wish you a happy and healthy 2010.

Let’s bury our differences, and continue with your good works. Stop writing at your side will make those rots happier. We are all anxiously waiting to see something good happen in Malaysia, our homeland.

Rome is not built in a day, patience and perseverance are what we need to make our country a home that we are proud of.

    ATM,

Being human, and not being a politician with thick black face, I am quite hurt by the remarks that I have been telling lies, lies, and lies ( read the comment by lion).

I have written sincerely from the bottom of my heart, and I have nothing to gain in fact to go against my own party leadership, and for that I was called a ‘liar’, never mind that the person may be from certain quarters that may want to use this moment when this blog is under attacked from several fronts to push to try to inflict more damage on the blog..

I can understand romerz when he picked the fight ..You can disagree with my views and said so.. But to say that I am a liar and that all I have written are lies and lies and lies, this is very personal.

To resort to personal attack has become very low and very dirty..

I disagree with our top leaders , NEPs, discriminations, double standards and so on. I am angry with those who caused the death of TBH and those who plunder the nation. But I never resort to calling them names, or use four letter words.

Even when I pointed out certain people who cannot stand up to UMNO, I never called them ‘ball-less’ or coward. I only criticise their behaviour as wrong. I thought we need to be civil even if we disagree, and I have been trying to be civil, but in return of being civil, I was called a liar.

I could have deleted his commnet since he breached the policy of this blog of no personal attack, but since it is me that he attacked personally and not someone else, i did not delete it.

. For those who think that I have been telling lies, by all means go and read other blogs. FOr those who want to attack me personally, email to me and i will meet up with you and let you call me name in person.. I want to look into your eyes when you call me names..

My children and their friends read my blog. What will your children feel when their father is being called a liar liar and liar when they know my intention is just to try to voice out and change some mindsets? What would your children think?

And of course, my decision of blogging more on social issues is not because of this attack. In the party, I have been called names worse than this, but at least we know who..

To be very frank, I have been thinking about Justin’s comment on why I keep on ‘harping’ some time back.. During my holiday abroad, i come to realise that indeed ‘harping ‘ over and over again is futile, as what he has implied. I realise that he may be right that to harp over and over again is no use.. Just write on an issuie once would be sufficient..

ANd since i have made my stand clear on most issues, from NEP, corruption, loss of excellence, education, AG report, and even GST, i thought i do not need to voice out again and again.

After my holiday, even before romerz’s attack, I have been going slow, as most of you may have noticed. When romerz picked the fight and I have to spend so much time to defend this blog and myself, I realise that this is the time to really go slow on political bloggings. I do not have that much of time to defend myself over and over again. It took more time that I could have used more fruitfully elsewhere.

ANyway, those who like to read can always go back and read the 1000 plus articles, and I believe some of the articels on social issues I am going to write would not be that dull too..

There is a time to stop for anyone. General Ge Gaulle, One of my favourites, stepped down abruptly when French people sent a message that they did not appreciate his policies anymore..

    Dr. Hsu,

For us “regulars” of your Forum, we know you. You are not liar. We can roughly tell who is this “Lion”. This Forum’s readership is common among several friendly blogs. How can someone suddenly out of his den, naming himself Lion and start telling lies? Put it this way, we are not fools. Calling you liar is in fact an insult to his own intelligent.

Your children know you better than this liar, if I may call him this. Being a “Lion” should be someone brave and righteous, and not someone wears mask.

Forget about this fool. Let’s make the last day of 2009 a day to cherish.

    Dr Hsu,

There is a season for everything under the sun. So, walk the path with self consciousness and u will find the sky is still bright and flowers blossom as beautiful ever. Breath the sensual fragrance radiated from your own heart and filter toxins emitted and floating around u. In this way, u live a rewarding and fulfilling life.

Write more on social issues. This is where we are lacking and hence too much of social decayed problem arises. As long as social problem is addressed, political stability and progress will follow. More compassionate and humane feeling and action will awake and less hatred and abused could find its footing in a world filled with love.

Look not for a towering figure to admire but a compassionate heart to adore.

Happy New Year, 2010 will be a great year to look forward.

The more angry we are, the more happy he is.

If last decade is the lost decade, now is the decisive moment. When the old path is clear to be unsustainable, either we change first, or be forced to change to adapt. In this time of change, good luck and best wishes.

    Dr Hsu,

Happy 2010 to you and your family!

Please keep up with your writing, if health permits as yours is a voice of reason and persuasion, and an erudite one at that – not just lazy name-calling (“Lion” – please take note).

It would be easy for you to just quit Gerakan – but then who will remain to preach to the unconverted. If only there were more voices like you calling out from within Gerakan (instead of less & less), Gerakan would not be the party that it is today….

You are only but an ordinary man trying to contribute his bit to make the world a better place. But God, if only there were more like you,…. instead of all the politicians and cyber-troopers out there (“Lion” could be either the former or the latter…)

The problem is not that you have kept on “harping” on the same issues…The real problem is that there is still not enough people who care enough to come together to make change possible. You (and a few others) have sounded out the issues but how many have rallied around to your call…and meanwhile the situation keep deteriorating…

Last but not least, though you feel tired bashing it out alone, the reality is that your writings represent the feelings of the silent majority. Take heart that you have helped give voice on their behalf…

Stay healthy and remain in indomitable spirit!
