Most despicable acts

The attacks on churches , temples and suraus must be condemned by all right thinking Malaysians.

Religions teach us to be tolerant and compassionate. To resort to acts like throwing fire bombs at sacred places of worship is despicable and smacks of cowardice. Those who did this are not martyrs trying to protect their religions. They are misguided souls failing to understand the true meanings of religions.

These misguided souls are by-products when religions get mixed up with politics, and they become unwittingly tools that could be made use by people with ulterior motives.

I hope the police, who has been so commendable in arresting the church arsonists, will succeed in arresting these perpetrators.  They should be properly investigated and quickly charged to serve as  a deterent to other misguided souls.

In the meantime, religious teachers have a duty not to fan emotions but to calm down emotions and let cooler minds prevail, if they do not want to see Malaysia degenerate into a nation of confrontation and tic-for-tac fights.

We have had been ” sensitised ” as every now and then our politicians will tell us that certain issue is sensitive must be discuss behind close door. Over the years more issues were handled in that manner and the younger generation is asking why the churches never protested then. The govt banned translation of bible in national language way back in 80’s and many words were also banned for non-muslims usage.

All such issues were negiotiated behind closed doors and both parties (church & govt) were able to come to a decent compromise. But all those efforts of sincere negotiation is no longer seen as viable now with the new set of leaders. Thus, the issue was blown out of proportion for political mileage by certain group with evil intention.

Most religions teach their followers to be good disciples. Those that commit evil and have hatred till death for others are certainly without a religion. For ” the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Jn 10:10

We need to know the purpose of our life here on earth. Certainly, not just to work, eat and sleep. But for a purpose that we may be a blessing to others while on earth as per Dr Hsu’s philosophy :
” To do my little bit to make the world a better place.”

Religion would not change so drastically without political influence, what more when so many corrupted politicians with hidden agendas.

In the 80s, all my muslim female classmates wear skirts without tudung. They wore short pants during PE. Can we say they are less religious then than now. I am sure not. At least no such thing as bohsia and less drug addiction, sex party even divorce rate was low then. They were less ulamak or imam and no piping squad to monitor individuals moral conduct. Yet the atmosphere then is very much peaceful and wholesome.

Similarly there were lesser Buddhist or Christian organization then and no moral subject at school, but i doubt we are any better in terms of conduct now than 80s.

So, can we look at religion with another perspective without being over protective of one’s view on faith. Rather we should emphasis more on ways to achieve peaceful coexistence and pursue happiness as a universal need of all human beings.

We wear different brand of underwear but the purpose is the same. As long as the purpose is achieve, why bother even if your friend wear a brand with cutting differ from yours. Your comfort is deprived simply due to the difference in brand or cutting. Cheers !

The problem with that particular religion is that they believe their religion is the only one which is true and perfect where as the others are fake. They also believe they are the chosen ones. It is pointless to talk about compassion and tolerance right with them now. If only they let God be the judge.

Have to agree with highlander1208 that if a religion starts with the premise of exclusion (us and them), then how does one build trust ?

Should we not ACCEPT people of all ethnicity, religions and other charateristics instead of TOLERATING them ?

Highlander is right, which religion instead of teaching compassion and brotherhood as testimonial in history actually going around killing in the name of the Almighty, conquering and killing innocent people. And then proclaiming the greatest of the religion. It’s all over in history.

And then some claiming, “Oh, the religion always preaches peace and harmony.”

Let the wise, the Almighty and heaven do the judging. Karma will definitely takes place.

From your writing, you certainly do not understand Islam at all, you only see Islam as superficial from yoursights and i bet you never
read any book to come up with above writing.

Are you born bred in Malaysia?
I am apalled at your level of ignorance of Islam.

Do not compare Islam to other religion, please.

Islam in this land of about 600-700years old compare to Saudi Arabia 1431years old.

My grandma wears thin scarfs until she died 1992.
My mum wears complete tudung at age 45.
    I wear tudung at 33.
Today, all my female cousins wears tudung once they reach puberty.

    Why? Ask yourself?

There this one religion and one political party
with New World Order influence coming into the soil of this country.

No Muslim in this country want their fate and generations to come be the same as in Indonesia, share cemetary with that religion, mixed marriages with that religion, etc.

Islam prohibits such, its clearly said in Quran.

So, that religion, please have respects for Islam, stop fanning and making as if Islam is fanatic but in reality the fan is New World Order using that religion, nothing but to mess Muslims in
this country to be at par Indonesia.

But how many non-Muslims realised, know and aware what is NEW WORLD ORDER?

From the writeups in here, there is none who knows what is NEW WORLD ORDER.

The more i read the comments the more i realised more Malaysians are getting shallow, they think they know so much, but the truth none knows WHO WHAT rule the world.

Your reader-commentors here need reality global exposure of WHO WAT is ruling the world today.

I told one of cc member of New World Order,
hes a doctor isnt aware of this until i put in respective history and global events incluiding USA economic plunged recently.

In Islam prophecy, New World Order is Dajjal.
Next, why do you think Obama sent 30K military troops fo Afghan? Any idea?

Who is reading read Islam prophecies here?

    dear readers,
All religions are good and please do not religions-profiling any particular one.

If there are any perceptions of wrong doing, it is the stray believers and not the actual teachings.

I hope we do not do any racial or religious profiling. We need bridge builders, we need more understandings , and that is why I advocate a Interfaith COuncil to start frank discussions, not an unofficial dialogue. We need a proper settings for relgious leaders of various faiths to come to some understandings. The PM should show leadership in setting up the Interfaith council , despite objections from some conservatives segments.

At least, my Malay friend doesn’t think like you.

Profiling of ‘the religion’ is wrong, unnecessary, but people being human, we profile ‘the religion’ unconciously from stray believers’ of ‘the religion’.

Why not ‘the religion’ open up, learn ‘other religions’, and vice-versa?

Many people of ‘the religion’, like my Malay friend, has opened up. How about you, Atika?

Profiling makan cili, the religion rasa pedas?

  13. highlander1208
    Jan 24, 2010 @ 20:30:24

The most important issue here is not just about tolerance. Its about understanding and feeling humbleness in oneself. As i have said before.. leave everything to God . After all, we are all living in the same world … created by Him. ….. if we believe the religion that we profess is the right path to Heaven, strive for it. If others are not willing to believe our religion so let it be. Let God carry out the punishment upon who do not believe. Then only we can put the present religious issue to a stop. Just as simple as that.

People like to eat cilipadi, but, cilipadi eat them back if people eat cilipadi in excessive. If you eat cilipadi moderately, then cilipadi serves you good, and vice-versa.

Same thing here, if believe in the religion moderately (like eating cilipadi), the religion brings good to you, but
if believe in the religion fanatically (like eating cilipadi excessively), then the religion brings confusion, small petty matter will be treated like big eruption of a volcano (like cilipadi caused you to purge long hours sitting on toilet bowl, hahahaha).

The religion makan cilipadi, the religion rasa pedas, not only pedas, but purge long hours sitting on toilet bowl. You decide to rasa pedas or purging…..:(

I know and you know Kim, banning won’t resolve Man’s greed and craving, the negative side of Man.

So-called religion is only an excuse and justification to pursue the hidden agenda of Man’s greed for material wealth and power over others.

Shoot the culprit and not the messenger. Along the way and passage of time, things are misinterpreted to suit certain people for hidden causes they knew best. And there are many things needed to be banned too.

Sometimes, being ignorant is better than perceived smart or ill informed.

When u r ill informed or misinformed, u tend to think you are right irrespective what other says. Hence, the world must evolve according to your wishes other wise it must be stopped at all costs.

The Navi in Avatar reveals that intellectuals are not that smart after all as human has all along inter connected with each other as well as with nature even before internet is created. The ecosystem is in equilibrium and it is “smart” human who destroy it. Similarly, religion as a form is ugly due to human’s manipulation but it is pure and beautiful as a philosophy of life when allowed to exists naturally.

USA and the west are countries accomplished by NEW WORLD ORDER for its people to never believe in God.

The Final stages of New World Order

I respect Atheist and those who think God do not exist, its their choice. In USA, they even wrote “GOD IS DEAD”. Its ok there becoz NWO moulded these groups.

In Malaysia to equivocate Allahswt to God.
What happens to this country when in near future someone writes “ALLAH IS DEAD”.

How many Muslims are going to be upset and angry?

Think of the consequences in this country by then. Fire, arsonist, bloodshed, killings…
    i cannot imagine.

To place this country into chaotic situation that moment is the ambition of NEW WORLD ORDER.

Anyone disrespect Islam here? Disrespect, if any, is to the stray believers, not Islam.

So you are church goer Muslim, very open, very good. Invite your fellows along, to open up Islam, to share Islam. Can? Cilipadi are everywhere, I go everywhere. Very open.

New World Order? How order? The world now order now, I admit. Too many religions, sure like that, not order.

    No big deal.

And I agree with CYC, human beings are not that smart as long as they use their physical senses only and not the higher consciousness. Well, our brains are being used only what? 5 per cent or maybe more for those with higher IQ. But intelligence is useless in higher dimensions of existence. The human brain besides untapped is also gravitating to greed, power and selfishness.
