Dr Pornthip should come to the hearing

The Thai Pathologist with a sharp eye

Immediately after Teoh Beng Hock’s death , I issued a statement asking that no stones should be left unturned in finding out the cause of his death. So far, 2 postmortems have been done, and in the second post mortem, some of the findings not listed in the first post mortem were found, such as the bruise mark on the neck.

The credit of findings the unlisted marks on the body must go to the famed Thai Pathologist Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand who is a renowned forensic pathologist and who topped the poll  in the last issue of Readers Digest of the  most trusted person in Thailand.(read here )

Without her testimony and her findings based on the photos she had seen, I doubt whether there would be a second post mortem. Most probably, the inquest would have closed its case based on the reports of the first post mortem.

She is thus vital in the search for the truth.

Therefore, it came as a big disappointment not only to the Teoh’s family but all Malaysians who wish to find out the real cause of death that she is reportedly being advised by her superior not to come to testify, allegedly because some high officials have advised Thai officials that there might be problems for her if she turns up in Malaysia.

Now that the AG as well as MACC have issued statements that she should not worry about her safety (read here for AG’s offer for protection for her), I think all of us hope that she can come and testify on April 20.

Professionally, since she has made a professional opinion which is different from her counterparts in Malaysia, she is obliged to come here and argues her case based on her opinion. Just like a doctor who has a professional obligation to a patient under his care, and must complete his professional treatment to the patient till the very end, unless the patient wishes to change doctor mid way, in this case, Dr Pornthip has an obligation to participate in this case until the very end.

SInce now that AG and the Malaysian government has offered her full protection, she should come and aid in finding out the actual cause of death. I hope that round the clock protection be given to her.

(Latest:  It was reported in MI that she is now coming to testify, good news indeed!).

What is the big deal of trying to scared her away. She can still testify through real time teleconferencing technology unless our court refuse based on some obvious reason. by judging on on action being taken against Nazri for contempt of court, one should know why the outcome of this murder case is so predictable.

Professional ethic aside. Pornthip is a foreigner and she has no obligation to die for a citizen of another country morally. What craps of assurance are AG given to her when your Home minister already discounting the same as she has not furnish us the detail of the alleged threats. As BN practice bullying tactic all along , you need pressure from some Big bullying countries who share their identical gene.

Lets hope the case be delayed till the Ulu Selangor by election is done so that PR can show the general public how far BN has reformed and how MCA , Gerakan and MIC has play their role in ensuring the independence of our judiciary. Its god sent favour to PR.

    Dear Dr Hsu,

But Dr Pornthip did not say that her safety might be compromised if she show up herself in Malaysia. So all the assurances that there is no reason for her to fear for her safety here by the various government security agencies is therefore a red-herring! To lead one away from the real reason for the good doctor not to turn up.

So have you too been baited by the red-herring?

Teoh’s hearing can wait but not Ulu Selangor. The fight has begun where MIC try to show their mighty muscle but UMNO think otherwise. Meanwhile MCA try to bully MIC by ignoring them. After kena whack too many times from UMNO, MCA is releasing all the frustration on the pitiful MIC. Brothers are born to fight each other. It applies to other as well. Hurray, our main stream media will not be short of stories to write unless censored by BN.

I believe it is duty bound for the Govt of the day to be responsible for the safety of all foreigners who enter the country leagally and is not doing something that is against the law of the country. Home Minister had spoken so loudly on Monday, 12 April that he can assure her safety but now he flip flop again and say he can only guarantee her safety upon her disclosing her threats.
This is how our ministers and leaders of the country acts and reacts……nontheless…I believe she will make the trip and expose the truth BUT….inside everyone’s mind…we know the inquest will only serve as the avenue to close the case and verdict is Teoh jump to his own death….its a foregone conclusion since the Govt is siding the other (Dark) force……

The inter – no faith committee is as good as dead. I hope this will open the eyes of Gerakan members to the party leader insignificance, the irrelevance of the party and the insincerity of Ahemno.

The Pleiadian is right about unevolved humans and the cruelty of the negative mind. The only true justice is cosmic justice.

    Dr.Porntip a professional forensic expert
who has opined on her findings. Her much sought- after testimony will further delve into the truth of the TBH case.

She is an obvious catalyst to the chemistry of forensic science and social consciousness in this case albeit she is an invited guest.

The Government of the day, the people of the country and not to mention the family of TBH should give her the due respect , protection and assurance so that she can complete what she has started professionally.
