The ‘push’ factor

Malaysians should be quite familiar to the ways political parties campaign during an election.

There will be ceramahs, there will be dinners and walk around by candidates or big wigs to meet up with the rakyat. Favourite places to go to visit would be the morning markets and the night markets,  coffee shops , hawkers centres and so on.

One feature in all campaigns for votes would be to distribute flyers to promote oneself, and at the same time try to belittle the other parties, attacking on issues and policies. Many would even go down to so low as to mount personal attacks and dig out ‘bad’ histories of their opponents in order to score points and gain votes.

So it is a common sight to see workers or individuals distributing flyers on issues during campaigns.  In fact, in a democracy, anyone should be allowed his or her opinion and anyone should be allowed to champion any issue in an election, as long as it is done in a peaceful manner.

Then there are groups that would use the by election to highlight the issues they champion or the plights they face. There would be petition submissions to visiting big shots, since during a by election, it is much easier to catch the attentions of more big shots in a given time since there would be so many of them visiting and campaigning.

So it is no surprise that TBH support group use the by election of Galas to try to submit petitions to big shots.

However, it was reported that Teoh’s sister was ‘arrested’, and the bother-in-law was pushed by a component party member when the group tried to seek the attention of a lady deputy minister. Despite the denial by the deputy minister, photos are now posted on the internet to show the incident. .

I really do not know what purpose the arrest would serve. PAS would in fact get more sympathy votes and angry votes which are against such action, especially among the younger voters.

Whoever are the brains behind, these people are indeed very good in shooting their own feet.

According to the CHinese Malaysiakini website, the TBH support group tried to submit a petition on three points:

  • Asking for setting up of a Royal commission of inquiry
  • asking for the setting up if IPCMC
  • Prevent abuse of powers by enforcement arms such as MACC

I dont see why anyone should be alarmed by these 3 points. Even the PM has promised to set up a RCI after TBH’s death; and a royal commission consisting of prominent Malaysians had recommended the setting of IPCMC.

In an election, even a small incident can swing votes. So let us just wait and see whether this push factor would have any influence on voting…

Did you notice that MCA was more worried than UMNO? These issues hit into the Chinese community and hence MCA is using gangsters. The practice of using gangsters is starting again with that pornstar president.

” If it had not been Teoh Beng Hock’s brother-in-law that day but instead it had been a Malay with a songkok wearing an Umno or Perkasa shirt, these MCA men would have quickly stepped aside and would not have even dared stare at the chap” said Raja Petra.

To all those who pursue political career with selfish interest :

A dog remains dog even it is dressed up with Armani shirt.

Gaining material wealth and recognition through ill intended means is a futile attempt to live a life with fulfillment.

It just further solidify our opinion that MCA are but dogs serving their master UMNO.

They don’t care abt Chinese, they are only there for the buck. Not surprise when you see the local towkays and contractors are the usual MCA flock.

Anyway, MCA will never set foot in Penang again, we can make sure of that.

Almost everyday the younger generation Penangites I encounter, I can say are solidly pro-Opposition.

Although Penang DAP-led govt is not perfect, but at least there are many visible improvements done by them. For one, you get new or at least well maintained road sign in almost every streets now. Not to mention we got the multi-language street signs in the heritage zone now.

As a Perakian who resides in Penang the past decade, it always baffle me when Penangites refer to various old streetnames like “Gu Kan Dang”, etc. And now at least you get to remember them from the multi-language street sign.

Otherwise, these heritage names would be lost forever, erased by the UMNO-directed puppet Gerakan govt.

And hey, we are having “No Plastic Bags” from next week onwards. It was irritating at first, but once you get into the habit of bring your own bag to carry stuff you purchase, you wonder at how much plastic bags you personally go thru in a day previously.

Needless to say abt the increased state revenue, which translates into a bigger budget this time around to provide more budget to local schools and for welfare.

So, MCA and Gerakan, I think you have your work cut out if you were ever to win back Penang.

Don’t have to trust me, just ask the younger generation of Penangites !

Well, MCA and tai kor, ah long and traids are abang adek. Ghee Hin and Wah Kee are historical records and many old veterans are retired, many gone back to “Tong San” (Chinese Heaven).

Leadership under Batman has gone down the gutters. malaysiakini photos showing people lining up in Sandakan MCA office, apparently getting “ang pow” (RM100) on the buy election. Allegations or accusations? MCA has never done this but learnt from the 2008 GE, allegedly from UMNO.

Even Batman was alleged to have bought votes to sit on the throne.Superman faction alleged this but no one took this up, probably no evidence. But the gossip making the rounds of RM10k distributing in a toilet during that time.

If it is true, the money corrupted association is dishing out money, it is hardly surprising.

klm, the ganster who push Teoh’s brother-in-law is the secretary of the Gua Musang MCA division. He is supposed to be a leader but we know he is actually a leader of dogs…running dogs.
First we have Heng, then Moohedin and now the licker Chua…..just to please UMNO, they are willing to back the gansterism in BN. Hope voters in Galas and Batu Sapi will get this message thru and vote out BN. Sad to see Govt sactioning gangsterism. See how the Police just standing by when a bunch of UMNO and PCM gangsters tried to enetr the State assembly. Remember in Perak? ADUN’s are not allowed to even step near the gates but in Penang, the Police allow gangsters to demonstrate. Is this the Malaysia we want?

Feel fresh in the morning, wishing all Hindus a very happy Diwali. In Mandarin Diwali is literally translated as “Slaughtering Evils Festival”, so lets starts identify the evils within our political arena and make sure they be slaughtered in coming GE.

I am sure that MCA will never set foot in Penang again. Also leadership under Batman has gone terribly bad. It’s a serious issue and it’s been done very cleverly too. It has become a part of election now-a-days.
