Fury of Mother Earth

Earlier saw a news flash from Kyodo news agency that 88000 people are missing. Hope that most of these are just stranded people and can be found and reunited with their loved ones. But as the Japanese quake cum tsunami unfolds, the death toll is going to rise above what is reported.  My condolence to the Japanese people, especially those affected by this natural disaster.

This quake is reportedly few hundred times more powerful than the Acheh quake on Boxer’s Day 2004. But fortunately, Japanese people are much  better prepared and hence the final death toll should be much lower. Some scientists estimated that the force unleashed by the quake is equivalent to 11000 atomic bombs.

What is most worrying is there may be a nuclear leak which will cause immediate and long term effects on humans, animals  and plants if not contained well. I have always been very wary of nuclear plants because no matter how careful we can be, if something goes wrong, like in this case, nuclear leaks can be very harmful and toxic. It is in this regards that we should not allow rare earth plants to operate in Malaysia, like what was planned  near Kuantan. Most countries are wary of setting up Rare Earth plants, and Australia itself does not want to have such a plant in their own country; are we Malaysians so poor that we have to become a ‘rubbish dump’ of a developed country?

There was an X-class solar flare on March 9 reported by the website spaceweather.com.

There is no conclusive evidence between solar activities and earthquake but there is hypothesis of the possibility.

Nevertheless, deepest condolence to the Japanese people for this devastation and tragedy.

There is also talk about “super-moon”. On 19th March, Moon will be at its nearest distance from Earth, and it will be the nearest in about 2 decades…

The last time, moon came close to Earth, it was in Jan 2005, a few weeks after the 2004 tsunami of Acheh.

So there is speculation but it has no scientific proof yet.

scary thot if PNB build the 100storey, who knows what they unearth. I remember somewhere in Bkt Tinggi, Pahang not many moons ago, there were ‘minor tremors’ no matter how slight it was, we are sitting ducks !!!

Dear Dr., the Japanese earthquake is 8.9, while the Aceh/Indonesia one is 9.1 (earthquake scale is logarithmic). The list does not include the latest Japanese one: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/world/10_largest_world.php

Anyway, it is like a horror movie. We in M’sia are lucky…only have man-made disaster, sigh…(let’s hope that our (i) largest rare earth processing centre in Gebanf/Kuantan will not pollute (ii) our planned nuclear plant (2020) will not have a meltdown or accident)

I don’t we should look at situation as “we are lucky because …”. There is no telling what is happening to the earth, be it the earth movement, climatic condition at any one time, volcanic activities, etc.

In fact, there were reports of activity coming out from Anak Krakatua between Java & Sumatera. That is not very far as volcanic eruption is concerned. When the mother exploded back in the 18th century, it was reported to heard even in Australia.

Also, Lake Toba was a supervolcano, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supervolcano, like the one at Yellowstone. If it ever exploded, we will be affected like no other.

Dear Dr, yes even the moon distance speculation.

This is a very sad event.
More to come…as mother nature will takes it’s revenge over the power of evil men doing all things bad…for the love of power and money.
The Earth is getting hotter…a big rock heading towards Earth right now…that if on course to strike Earth…half the world will be in flame.
Humans are experiencing unnatural atmospheric living conditions.
“Sleeping” volcanoes are know getting hot and awakened.
Strange as it may seem to be…super powers are advancing by leaps and bounds in their discovery of more planets….yet the bottom of our own Earth oceans…seems unimportant and unknown.
I have a strange feeling USA knows what’s coming and trying hard to look for another planet to save his own people and few chosen ones.
The great floods from God..will flood all…regardless low land or highland States.
Gods may not take sides in politics…but they will surely kill all sinners and evil doers…destroying his creations for the love of money…and so call developments.
I am inspired by “AVATAR” movie…that the simple life of yesteryears are much better than modern times.

When your cup is full and filled with filth and dirt….it must be washed clean and start life all over again.
Satan have taken over the world.
Starting from change of government and attitudes by USA…but is Obama delivering what he promised?
Tunesia…Egypt…Libya…inspired by Indonesia…are fighting against the devils.
Unless goodness wins over evils…the mysterious works of mighty ones will strike hard and start all over again.
Judgment Days…are clearly seen …year by year.
Nothing can we say more to console those poor folks in Japans.
We can perhaps help and do something through donations.
But priceless humans died for nothing. Money cannot bring the dead back.
Politicians will say…”It is natural. Nothing can be done”
I say they are liars and power crazy …corrupted politicians …all over the world..dominating most countries.
People all over the world.. are on the uprising against dictators and corrupted lot…to do their part.
Guilty ones are having nightmares ..that we d0 not see..in Malaysia.

just as the world shares the misery of the earthquake in Japan, the heartless UMNO paper published a cartoon poking fun at the heart-wrenching disaster. Thats UMNO culture for you.

What is even more scary are the three nuclear power plants that are “near meltdown:. If this happens, the effect will be felt across the whole of Asia. Remember Chernobyl. This is Chernobyl x 3.
