Release the PSM 6

I have the pleasure of working under Dr Devaraj, the father of Dr Jeyakumar Devaraj , for a few months in Penang General Hopsital in the late 70s.

The father is one of the most conscientious doctors that I have come across, and like father like son, Dr Jeyakumar has been doing good social work helping the poor and the downtrodden.

He is among the six arrested for reasons best known to the authorities. I said so because initially they were arrested for suspicion of trying to revive communism– of all reasons, this must be one of the most incomprehensible since communism is as good as dead in this 21st century– because of some Che Guevara T shirts which can be bought in many places not known to be communist.

Then, apparently,  the power that be must have read my arguments in my article “debacle of Mishandling’. To paraphrase the relevant parts:

This is no more the era of USSR or Mao Tse Tung’s China; the former has disintegrated into smaller states and the latter is now more capitalist than communist.

Who would want to revive communism, when these two giants communist states have tacitly admitted that their ideology is no longer workable, by opening their economies and adopting some capitalist practices.”

So in an about turn, the six are now said to be detained because they are key ‘movers’ for the 709 rally.
This makes no sense to me since the prime movers are the 60 odd NGOs that form Bersih . If there is no arrest against the leaders of these NGOs, why should action– what more detention without trial- be taken against these 6?

Not that I advocate the arrest of these leaders of the NGOs — I don’t– since in the first place, our Constitution has guaranteed the freedom of association and gathering.  But for the sake of argument, if no action is taken against the heads of Bersih component, why should action be taken against the six? It is plain logic and common sense.

So if none of the Heads of NGOs are detained, then Dr Jeyakumar and the five others must be released unconditionally.

Yesterday and today, even MIC leaders are asking for the release of these six. Of course, this is not because suddenly the MIC leaders have found their conscience, but rather these calls are made because of the Indian votes.

MIC must have realised that if Dr Jeyakumar is still under detention when General Election is called, he would have made a lot of difference to the Indians votes, which are said to be flowing back to BN. Not only will Indian votes stop flowing back to the Big Brother, it will most probably go back in a big way to the opposition.

With the CHinese votes gone, and the young Malay voters resenting the BIg Brother, I do not know why someone would want to sabotage the Top Leader’s chance by detaining one of the most prominent Indian leaders in the country, and along with his arrest, 5 others who are with him.

There is really nothing to gain politically. The power that  be should realise this and release the SIX immediately.

They are in frantic mood…do not know what to do….and a person like Dr.Jeya speaking against an unfair and unjust government scares the wits of Najib’s appointed defenders of Najib…not to act.
And so..they act and Najib is pleased.
They arrested 10 wearing yellow at K.L Sentral….for no reasons….and released them after filing reports…just to get the 10 wearing yellow away from Najib’s eyes.
And poor Fayaed….Anwar’s bodyguard…filed a report on what happened at the tunnel.and was given a form with questions….that are so ridiculous.
It is like asking a witness….on a murder he witnessed…how does a murderer think and why use this weapon and not that weapon…bla bla bla.
Very good of Dr.Hsu speaking out for the innocents….but bottom line is to vote them out.
Thousands of complaints are ignored by our …”People First” PM…who is well known to be a liar ….hypocrite and a flip flopper.
Remember….Najib is appointed as PM by his party……..not elected by Malaysians.

Najib have given up hope on Chinese and Indian votes.
He relies on Muslims…..and so angpows are distributed at one lace to ensure 13th GE..a lost is a foregone conclusion…but to loose with no duck eggs eaten.
Dr.Jeya means nothing to him. He can rot in jail…for all he cares.
His mind is on more important things…how to avoid going to jail….HIMSELF!!!

I got a strong feeling that some parties are trying to sabotage the no. 1 so that they can take over the top job.
There is no honor and loyalty amongst these people as the loot is getting less and less..

There is no reason to detain the PSM 6. Najib is trying to create a new bogeyman out of the outdated idea of Communism threat. He knew very well there will be no global reaction. But he needs a bogeyman to create diversion amongst the opposition.

KK. I think the UMNO civil was has started. Yesterday, the railway union came out against Najib. Today it is the KL taxi drivers. Haven’t we seen similar scenes before before the ousting of Badawi. Let’s see if more of this shadow plays are appearing.

Detaining Dr. Jeyakumar and his 5 associates under the ‘communist’ brand is preposterous. To the minds of his medical fraternity, associates, beneficiaries and supporters, Dr. Jeyakumar is not a communist and never will be. His thoughts, actions and social works would definitely render him a socialist. Perhaps the authorities are using ‘a hammer to kill an ant’ and do not know what damage they are doing, have done or will be doing to the people, and nation.

Being a man of principles, truth and righteousness, Dr. Jeyakyumar has embarked on a food-fast until his associates are released. I hope he will be joined by like-minded Malaysians and maybe foreigners to stand along side with his cause and ideal.

I support that the SIX to be released immediately.

If Dr.Jeya dies out of his hunger strike…it will pleases Najib most….for hundreds of thousands will march with hatreds with revenge attitudes…making the country upside down.
Dr.Jeya must know..Najib is in a desperate position and nothing pleases him more that a country.out of order and control..where he holds all the aces.
Mahatma fasted till near death to free India…but Dr.Jeya must not copy that style to be freed…in Malaysia.
We need only to copy..disobedience without violence as seen in BERSIH 2.
What a great success it was….so united and singing Negaraku with true love for the country.
Stay calm…eat and live well..for the longer he is in jail..the worst for Najib and his cousin..Home Minister.
After all…we do all things to convince voters to change the government…and Dr.Jeya must think of the country and people.
What can Dr.Jeya hope to achieve by fasting till death..when he can do so much by eating and be alive and keep on speaking.
Bluntly speaking…Indians by nature are too emotional.
Dr.Jeya need to study how Anwar…Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng survived in jail…not forgetting the dozens more still in jail for no reasons.
He should exercise…stay fit…read books and be ready to be released out of People Power abilities…to vote Najib out or force the government to listen to reasons.
The longer he is in jail…he is getting voters….especially doctors to take note and support change of government.

There are many instances of subtle sabotage..Many of the flip flops are actually people sabotaging… Not helped by the fat lady and rumours about her has also surfaced..

Those behind want Big Brother to win, but not convincingly so that No 2 can come up.. The young Horse will then be made a minister with an eye on the Top Seat.

Pity Khairy.. He is of late quite progressive and moderate but there is little chance for him now.

Khairy will have a chance to be in the top if he joins PR. However, he might have lots of BAGGAGE in case he jump !! Well, you can only walk clean and speak justice when you are CLEAN and have no BAGGAGE. Najib and Rosmah have too much……..from what I see, they use tax money to travel the world on the pretext of WORK!! Quite low !

@monsterball, if Jeya dies of hunger strike, Najib is finished and maybe even BN. It’s to his interest that nothing happens to Jeya but he does not seem to be able to control the police.

Dr Jeyakumar knew what is the best path to take and he need no spontaneous “advise” from people outside the ring. I can only humbly say I am with him and will support his struggle, and his ideals. There are simply too many rubber/palm oil estates workers in Sg Siput still need his service. We don’t not want the return of another MIC man there as MP.

Perhaps Indians may be a bit emotional but not Dr Jeyakumar though.

    Don’t pity Khairy Doc.
He is no different from all those goons.
They are opportunists big time cooks.
He knows his days are numbered under Najib..and doing what he knows best to be recognized by UMNO B members that he stays active in politics and banging on the hope BN will win 13th GE…and he be a minister.
Recall he sad he want to give up politics when Dollah was forced out.
Instead..he stayed back and won the UMNO Youth post by a three way fights where his total of votes does represents 1/3 of the total. This means 2/3 does not want him…and that also gos for Najib ad others.
UMNO B are split hard…..where we have seen Najib is actually powerless……just for show only.

Kenny….That’s one way to look at it…..but desperate people who are controlling everything cam twist it to their advantage.
Najib is totally lost and I don’t think he cares for anyone…anything..except himself.

    Bad news suits him fine..
I say Dr.Jeya should stop fasting and we well.
Right now…prayers on the streets are offered to him.
Fast if he must..but not be dramatic and too emotional to court death.

Dr Jeyakumar is a Marxist but not a Marxist-Leninist.
This means he is not a Communist.

Marxists like him believe in parliamentary democracy and
popular democracy. He is also incorruptible.

What can be more threatening to kleptocrats than
someone who is incorruptible and motivated not by money
but by principles derived from his political beliefs and ideological

PSM’s MP(Dr Jeyakumar) and Adun (Dr Nasir Hashim) are the only two elected legislator who had formally disclosed and published their assets in website. They are the true transparent wakil rakyat. Others talked or only willing to be transparent with their naked body, but strictly not their wallet and cheque book.

Hooray!!…All released out of GOODWILL of the Police…so said Najib.
That will cost him more votes against him…keep protecting the Police.
Anyway..that was good news and I am sure the 6 will never thank the Police nor Najib…nor Home Minster at all.
6 will sue for millions….and the case will never be heard…as long as UMNO B is the government.
