As clear as crystal!

Many government  leaders often asked why the urban crowds have not given them the support since 308.

The reason is very simple. Just look at the MRT land acquisition ordeal the last few days, and they should know what is wrong.

Many a time, and I have lost count, when there is a project, it is not meant for the people, it is meant for the interests of some parties.

In fact, a former parliamentary secretary who is now helping a opposition-ruled state , has told me before he quit BN that it has become a culture that the planning and conceiving of project is not for the interest of the people, but rather how to let certain parties benefit  from this.

“If there is no project, there is no way to ‘masuk’ ” and this has become the mentality.

Coming back to the MRT project, it is now becoming crystal clear that it has intended to use land acquisition of some of the golden plots in the city to fund the building of MRT, and with this funding, there will definitely be leakages and wastage, and everybody would be happy..

The ‘land grab’, as coined by the opposition, also showed up glaringly how weak and how minor the component parties’ role has become.

let us take a hypothtical case. Let’s say we are now back to the 60s. If  Tun Tan Siew Sin goes to a government body and asks them to reconsider some project, it would be like an order and the order would have been considered and complied with.

Just the other day, BFM did an interview with Tun Sambathan’s daughter, in their run up of the series “the daughters of Merdeka”, the daughter mentioned that on one occasion, his father as a minister has to write a one-and-half page letter to Tun Tan requesting and explaining why he needed a fund of RM 175.00 as compensation to Tan Sri Khaw Kai Boh (another minister) , whose car  was knocked by a vehicle belonging to Tun Sambathan’s department.

This showed the integrity of the politicians at that time, even though we may not have agreed with many of these people’s (Tunku. TUN Tan,  TUN SAMbathan etc) policies, their integrity was beyond doubt.  Even Tun Razak had declined an allocation of RM70,000 to build a swimming pool at his residence, and asked that the money be spent in a more fruitful way.

So coming back to this topic. The head of a component party, a person involved in a sex scandal before, led a group of people affected and saw the head of SPAD, a former minister who is now in charge of the MRT project.. After the meeting, he happily announced that he has succeeded in helping the people of chinatown  secure their land holdings. He thought he could become a hero now, only to find out that he was more a ‘zero’ than hero.

The next moment, he was rebuked, and the former minister now in charge of SPAD announced that nothing has been decided yet.

This incident showed  glaringly the impotence of the component party. Even a Has Been of the Big Brother yields more power than a present head of a component party, one of whose member is the Minister of Transport, a position that supposedly oversees the SPAD.

So that is what is wrong with the whole BN. That is why the urban crowds do not give support to BN parties. How to fight a war when you are not even given bullets. How to move when you are not given the space..  This is exactly the point that I often told my leaders when I was a member of my former party. This is exactly why I asked them to pull out from the coalition and go back to their role as opposition.

When the big brother does not even give tiny space for the little brothers to breathe, how do you expect the little brothers to survive. .

We all know how difficult it is to buy a lot in Bukit Bintang.  Looking at newspaper advertisement, very rarely you see someone advertising to sell a shop in Bukit Bintang.

Most who own properties there can just sleep and shake legs, and live off the rentals collected, since rentals are very high there. No one in their right mind would sell their properties in BBintang, unless they emigrate, or lose heavily in Sentosa or the Sands.

So you see what I mean here.

So in one move, golden land right in the centre of the city (the equivalent of Time Square in Manhattan)  which is so difficult to buy can now be used in the name of development for certain interests.. that of  the funding of MRT and the likely accompaniment of  leakages and wastages.

Who cares if’ ‘Make Chinese Angry’ is shown to be so impotent even Viagra won’t help;  who cares if Little brothers all ‘die’ in the next election;  who cares if hundred years history and heritage is destroyed; who cares  even if BN loses power because of that… Laughing to the bank is the most important thing, dude!

Way back then…the Alliance government ministers were 19% corruptions and 90% concern for the country and people.
Since Mahathir started his UMNO b…it is 90% corruptions and 10% for the people.
Time to agree and disagree is over.
Time to talk nonsense is over.
Blunt I maybe….but truth hurts..and I will not change…no matter how much anyone wishes to twist and smear my reputation..name with shit and nonsense.
Go and be trusted.and respected for 47 years and on going in the real world…then talk to me about TRUTHS and LIFE.
In politic.. It is FOR or AGAINST…firm and no if ..buts.. and why…about it.
It is not about our one vote only.
It is about putting out comments to open minds of voters with undecided minds.to make up their minds….to choose between the two devils…and let the untested devil…PR have a change.
It is unbelievable….that some have doubts about PR when PR have not govern the whole country for one day yet.
The examples posted by Dr.Shu is nothing new.
So many past projects have made Malaysians suffer.
They see nothing else…but easy money to make.
To be cunning…selfish ..stubborn..weak and yet is a religious person……plenty in every religion.
That’s why religions are so powerful…as we are all still..great sinners …so cunning and smart to twist.
And as long as you have UMNO B governing the country….you will never true unity.
Each time I read how Malaysians are being bullied…killed…robbed..I am sick to my stomach and feel for the victims.
Learn to feel for others …then talk to me how great you are.

Dr. Shu many posts are great examples ….how to open minds of the undecided voters….to read…understand and decide to change the government.
Commentators have a duty to support and not confuse the main issue.
I fully agree it is the few powerful devils that are so strong….but nothing is impossible.
Look at the strongest man in Middle East…Gadaffi..bragging 99% supports him…now fighting for his life.
Why can’t Malaysians have positive thinking and confidence to make sure UMNO b does not treat us like fools anymore?
Do your part…and spread confidence or be like Dr. Shu put out tons of examples to hint we must get rid of the corrupted lot…no matter how many police.army or judges are on their side
Alot of Malaysians need courage and confidence.
Do your part to give that to them.
Naturally…few MCA and Gerakan commentators here will disguise themselves as supporters for change and out come…the doubts…buts and ifs.
So if anyone is not BN supporter….don’t be thrilled by nice comments.
    Think and judge.
You cannot think and judge if you do not feel anything for Teoh Beng Hock….Kugan .. Atlantuya…and many more deaths untold…unkown.
I still feel for that poor Muslim Auditor got killed in Hong Kong 40 years go…investigating the BMF case….and that’s the start of revealing ….how corrupt UMNO was and much much more…now as UMNO b.
If DAP can do it alone…..why not with keDAILan and PAS combined together?
Mount Everest was impossible to climb 75 years ago..
And now….even Malaysians conquered the mountain.
Nothing is impossible….especially getting rid of Najib and his band of robbers and thieves.
It’s all about votes and Malaysians.
Do your part to open shut minds .weak mind..undecided minds…and I even saw many racists suddenly realize how stupid they are thinking how great their race is when Malaysia belongs to all Malaysians.
As long as race and religion politics cannot work…provocations…and creating fear…cannot work….Najib is finished.

I read the Idris Jala letter. It was so clear. Yes. The land grab scheme as explained was so blatant. We must reject this MRT project. It had clearly been designed not to solve the transportation problem but to enrich cronies. We dont need it and we do not want it. Leave it till we have a clean and transparent govt.

In Malaysian Insider, SPAD/Pemandu issued a very rosy and reasonable joint statement. I quote the relevant part:

“Land acquired will be used solely for the technical needs of the MRT project — that is overground and underground tracks, stations and support facilities, such as park-and-ride facilities, Pemandu and SPAD also stressed.

“Any development under the ‘rail-and-property’ scheme will be mainly on government-owned land that is unused, under-utilised, or not being utilised optimally where it can be developed as transit-oriented developments,” they said.

“Indeed, there may be instances where private land may be purchased to enhance the development potential but this will be done on a ‘willing buyer, willing seller’ basis.”

This is NOT what was said by Idris Jala and NOT what is being practiced now to landowners in Jalan Sultan and Bukit Bintang who were served with the Land Acquisition Act.

Like Najib’s 1Malaysia politics, saying something nice and rosy upfront but do something different and despicable in practice.

No country can recover the huge cost of MRT construction from fares The construction cost is usually paid from public funds and written off. It was the same with S’pore MRT. This is where public funds can be put to good use instead of being squandered on 100 storey tower and huge defense spending. The economy benefits from less traffic jams and better productivity.

However operating cost should be recoverable from fares. If operating costs cannot be recovered from imposing reasonable and affordable fares then the MRT has no business to be built. It means the population density is not high enough to justify it.

Hence the rail and property model which penalize landowners is unnecessary. The construction cost should be paid from public funds so no party is unfairly forced to subsidize for it. But how will Umno cronies benefit without the land grab?

Then UMNO b withered away….and perhaps Haris Ibrahim and RPK can win more seats than UMNO b and becomes the minority chief watch dog.
By 13th GE…MCA….Gerakan and MIC. are all buried alive.
And if PR does not deliver after 8 years…vote them out!!
That will be all your problem…for I think I am dead or too old to care for anyone anymore.
That way….People Power dictates terms and be respected as it should be..in the first place. No more race and religion dirty politics. No more massive huge corruptions…..although corruptions do exists all over the world.like policemen taking bribes…like judges taking bribes on private civil cases…quite common…and not be bribed by a crooked government to hurt Malaysians with no feelings at all.

I am a Malaysian Chinese and I am Malaysian first and Chinese second.

It is really a pity the sex scandal political leader, who has faithful and blind followers or members (that I 99% believe so) does NOT see the big picture and he is Not working for the interest of all Malaysians for their rightful entitlements. He could only looks at small agenda by putting up misleading propaganda involving “so-called fights for Chinese Community” such as charity donations, a few dozen of miserable scholarships, halal permits (please look at his begging situation at the meeting with the ministry officers), etc as most could see them on TV and in newspapers.

“Hey, what is the big picture?” You may ask.

One Simple Example: Did he fight for rightful percentage (%) of non-Malay Malaysians working in government offices? Is there any ministry has more than say 5%, not to mention any officers / heads of departments, etc? It is a very big picture affecting many Malaysian livelihood !! He is not that stupid not to know that please, and his party members and followers are not that stupid too.

I just wonder a sex scandal leader could be effective (or having bargaining power in the existing political arena) in fighting for all Malaysians” causes, as he could be put into jail for the sex offense any time! And of course you and me know why, but probably not all his party members or followers, who are intelligent though. Is he fighting for his survival and his son future for being “USED”? Again, probably not all his party members or followers, who are intelligent though, sincerely decide on this big picture question affecting future of all Malaysians and their children.

I sincerely hope that his party members and followers are aware of it and please do the right thing for all Malaysians.

We want good future for all Malaysians and their children, and we, all Malaysians, irrespective of any races, Malay, Chinese, Indians, Ibans, Kadasan …… should take positive steps to vote for TWO-PARTIES POLITICAL SYSTEM IN OUR BELOVED COUNTRY, MALAYSIA.

So, I concluded that all these useless component parties of BN can close shop and preach only their family members whatever philosophies or view points there may adopt. Especially KTK, a Ph.D holder who claimed to have good grasp of ancient Chinese teachings but with no sense of shame that he LIES or withholding the truth for 20 odd years all in the name of “for the shake of larger purpose”. The property owners of Jln Sultan and Petaling Street are still in a predicament mode.

Back to the topic of MRT. The rail -property model of Hong Kong, as I was told, is very different. The land being developed to fund the MRT is those reclaimed land and not the prime land in the centre of the city.

Perhaps our MRT should be given certain parcels of unoccupied land near to putrajaya to develop to fund the project instead of using prime land and heritage area.

They can also develop the the underground ares next to the station and make it to a bustling business shopping areas…

The point is….how are they going to compensate. What system to apply for a simple retail business to a wholesaler?
As such .it is impossible and they can..yet they still want to proceed with the project ….although other points are available.
Why must it be at Petaling Street and Jalan Sultan?….both are 100% Chinese own properties areas?
Why can it be around Merdeka Stadium as an example?
I don’t know. I am guessing for everything I notice…UMNO B is after big profits and taking away Malaysian Chinese heritage. sites..one by one….until nothing in history will show what Chinese have done for the country..

Come on, a bit of cili
He so beh tahan (my local friend said that)
Already lausai (my estate friend told me that)
    How to be ‘street fighter’?

    For Singapore
Bofore MRT, above ground was already so good
Then, took years to plan, then decide
To make the whole transportation efficient
To cater for huge influx of tourists besides its own people
    Then, have so much reserves

Malaysia? The reverse with no reserve

I stay here so long, I know.
They? Morality is not important in politics.
I have given up convincing them.
This someone here, you guess who inclusive?

siapa makan cili, beh tahan, lausai

(I can imagine how he is after reading my Malaysian friends’ message, they start laughing now in the fruits orchard)

All valuable lands within Klang are in the radar of businessmen and corrupt politicians. Just to name a few : Kiara Park @TTDI, Forest Reserves next to Kota Damansara, Government quarters @Peel Road, Army Camp@Kinrara, and not forgetting the recently concluded Air Force base @Sg Besi and RRIM @Sg Buloh.

As I am aware, numerous proposals were sent in some 15 years back for all these pieces of lands all in the name of actualizing the dream KL becoming a world class city. All these lands should rightfully go through open tender process if it must be developed somehow, but it will never be done this way. The holier than thou KTK bother to answer? Is he still has his shirt on or Naked? He may not realise he is actually naked while dreaming in his cozy backdoor ministry’s suite.

Monsterball, a short one, no matter how I appear to write in an intelligence manner, I am just armchair critic, unlike people like you, Hsu and many others who strive and write not hide behind anonymous, and that make a big difference.

I hope Malaysia could move toward a real 2 party system in the coming GE, actually I understand where ATM come from, but essentially my idea is to pull the 2 force to compete on good values and performance, and to avoid those issue that highlighted by ATM, however in order to achieve that, the people must always alert not to push Umno move to the right, and pull PAS and DAP back to the center instead to the left. For instance, not many Chinese support PAS in the past but it seem our votes succeed to neutralize the extremist element of the religion party to emphasize more on universal values and governance, and Malay votes seem to persuade DAP that some aspect of affirmative action is crucial to create a harmonious Malaysia. Yes, they are hypocrite to a certain extent but we can call this pragmatic as long as the ultimate goal is to bring good to all Malaysian.

Superman OTK admitted Chinese were marginalised but MCA cannot admit it according to Wikileaks. And silence is the best they can offer. Does the same applies to KTK ? I would like to ask this naive question again, why non Bumis were not considered for the appointment as head of university or GLC ? Are they less qualified or simply they was zero quota ?

Pragmatic is a lousy word to stomach with.

Rhan….so nice of you to respond my request ….to read your comment.
I think the 2-party system…both striving to out do each other will develop very fast..after 13th GE.
I think race and religion politics will not work anymore…in few years time.
I am sure we will be witnessing a Malaysia……long overdue…people united as one..Malaysian first and race second.
    Concerning ATM…streetfighter have said it.
Lets hope ATM understand freedom fighters have no…ifs…buts or why..in their missions…fighting for change in words..in the streets and with mind body and soul….all ready to die for the people and country.
And today’s political position…go and read it all…getting dirtier and dirtier by BN.
PR is standing on solid ground to take over.
It will be the own doings…if they fail to take over PutraJaya after 13th GE..and all I hope for…we unite as ONE in this blog…to FOR change ….simple…loud and clear..and do our best to SELL the GOOD NEWS…to undecided minds.
Thanks again Rhan ….for your enlightening me with your thoughts.

DJZ is another “domesticated” old men’s club with few “self-centred leaders with selfish interest” guarding the loo but not shitting. you can never step into the central committee without being somebody with money though u may be dedicated to serve or with lots of ideas. Just imagine a national organization tasked to revolutionize the Chinese language education but with few or none youth representatives, will it stay relevant to current needs? I wish for rejuvenated DJZ with the top 2 gracefully step aside. These 2 simply lacked vision & strategies, mere shoe polishers like MCA.

I never liked Ronnie because he is a real publicity guy and a liability to real reformation. You can disagree with me but lets judge by the incidents that he created without solutions.

It is reported..Najib have 57% support.
Another report said…88% support BERSIH2 demands.
What is the 57%…Malaysians or only Muslims?
If Najib had 72% support from the start…why was he delaying GE?
Because…each time he want to decide..reports say….it is slipping lower and lower.
And that is about Muslim supports…..not Malaysians.
Now take the 88% support for BERSIH2.
This can be translated into 12% balance support BN…as BERSIH2 supports are from all Malaysians.
This is more interesting to understand and know.
As I understand…UMNO B is actually preparing to loose 13th GE…..but want Najib out as UMNO B leader….right now.
And I have said few times in LKS blog…..that it will be their own mistakes and doings…to loose the 13th GE.
Lim Guan Eng should ignore all accusations and PR should keep exposing frauds and corruptions.

Anwar have pulled alot of Muslims votes away from UMNO B and if he is in jail…more will join in…while PAS have faithful Muslims support.not much more.. more…no less.
DAP have 88% support from all races.in urban areas and growing.
The real test will be from the 2 million new young voters…..and these are also favoring change of government….almost 100%.
Young Muslims want to be free to choose the way of life and not subject to so many laws controlling Muslims like cows.
Time has changed and it is time old seasoned voters start uniting and change for the better and stop supporting BN for selfish reasons.
In the past..before 12th GE….I can understand…although from day one…I never voted for Alliance or BN at all.
I voted for a democratic country..voted for more opposition voices to be heard.
But from 12th GE….it was a different ball game.
We can read so much from Internet that newspapers and TVs do not report and those news are told from mouth to mouth to those that have no access to Internet or cannot read.well.
Ans so…we have a very strong Opposition after 12th GE…so much so…from day one Najib took over..it is defending…bluffing….wheeling dealing….flip flopping…threatening…provoking and all he ca think of…how to fool Malaysians.
    He has failed miserably.
And it is time for all Malaysian Chinese to stop supporting race and religion dirty politics…or be racists themselves…feeling so proud to be second class citizens.
I simply cannot understand these kind of Malaysian Chinese.unless they are so used to it…and it becomes a way of life…a very very selfish way of life.
    And now…in 13th GE…all have a chance to have a Malaysian Malaysia.
If you admire Lee Kuan Yew…he was demanding this from the start when S’pore wads part of Malaysia and was booted out by Tunku.
Tunku was right…LKY was too impatient..too far sighted.
But 35 years ago…it was the right time..for a Malaysian Malaysia.
Mahathir chose to play dirty race and religion politics far far more than the past PMs and he encouraged massive corruptions…encouraged Muslims to steal….with no fear…as if UMNO B owns the country..and the Sultans are figure heads only.
Yes…it was UMNO B that insults all Sultans and Agong…yet they are twisting and accusing others disrespecting Rulers…..with MCA …Gerakan keep supporting dirty politics for what?…. for Malaysians?
Sick of the few Malaysian Chinese who can sell their children for favors from dirty filthy UMNO B government.
You think all those so call Chinese ministers from MCA and Gerakan in the govt. are making Malaysian Chinese proud?

I know quite a few minorities flew away before BERSIH 2 walk…as a reason for family holidays.

A literally translate: although surrounded by adversity, remain smiling and looking at the mountain full with blooming flower, let us encourage each other in our endeavors.

I could be wrong but I think this is self cultivate aphorism from the Buddhism angle, I read 南懷瑾 mainly on his interpretation wrt so called guoxue (国学), not really into Buddhism text though I am eager to know the historical part of it, 季羡林 books is a good read pertaining to this. From a religion context, I actually like Tao more because it’s fun.

CYC, it was really bad during the 70’ and 80’ for Chinese education but we were nurtured to breakthrough in a tough situation so no big deal, my concern now is we did nothing but still many flocking into Chinese school and CIS, I foresee this as problem though I hope I am wrong. I personally prefer to see the two streams compete with each other, I hope there is more to enroll our national stream in future but we can’t clap with one hand. Malaysian survives on balance, we must preserve balance. My impression towards Chinese school is lack of inclusiveness, however, all my kids enroll CIS.

DJZ is now a ‘pragmatic’ commercialise organization, but I think not much we could do as we know only bad times make a good man, it seem the challenging element is pretty mild at this point of time.

Yes Buddhism books can be too boring….always about how to be a perfect human being..
Taosim is what millions of Malaysian Chinese practices…Way of Life…respecting the dead on all Souls Day..
Taosim is close to Mahayanians{like Methodist}…. way of teachings.
It is like Methodist and Catholics….one very strict.the other..more open minded.
But for me….I follow the Theravadians{like Catholic}…..just to keep listening and understanding Buddha’s teachings…but in real life…I am like Rhan….a Taoist as I pay respect to the dead and on All Soul’s Day….plus like he said..more fun…no restrictions….just use commonsense to live a useful purposeful life…with no selfish ulterior motives.
But today.the two schools of thoughts are mixed into one.
Do you know…Buddhism is the only religion with their own flag?

Christianity took over the might of Buddhism 850 years ago.
It is the same old story…lousy teachers…lazy and full of cultural customs and rights.. mixed with religion..gone case…Buddhism looses out….Christianity took over.
    Then come Prophet Mohamad.
And Buddhism on the rise again…for the past 20 years.
Churches are empty…so many properties beautiful for sale…no private takers…too many dead ceremonies performed..in California alone.
Buddhist bought them…took cross out and put up Swasitika..sign….walla…Buddhists have so many places to go and pray ad Americans love to learn meditation and Yoga…..so many thousand became Buddhists.
BOOOM!!…9/11 tragedy…most go back to churches to pray….and Christianity rise again after 9/11.

Law were always written with many unseen loopholes as lawyers survive/make their living dependent on these loopholes. If there were no loopholes, lawyers will be jobless. Similarly, politicians will always dished out policies which is neither here nor there so that voters can be conned easily while they (politicians) remained blameless. This is a good game to play as responsibility could be shaken off at ease yet making tons of money from the ignorant. Just look at LKY, the saliva king, he simply confessed being bullied by Big Brother for 20 odd years after retiring and won the admiration of thousands while brushing aside his fault for concealing the truth.

The TRUTH is all politicians irrespective of they being Buddhists, Taoists, Christians, Muslims or Hindus; MONEY override all other consideration and it is ok to cheat, steal or murder all in the name of “PRAGMATISM” or “Street smart”.

But, I keep living in a dreamland of “空山灵雨” ”片叶不沾身“ though.
