An unfortunate joke

I view with concerned the threat uttered by a university student against our PM.

No matter how much we disagree with another person, threat should never be used.

If we do not like any party,  we use our votes to show it. Never should we use violence or even threathen violence against anyone.

Having said so, I pity the university student who I believe is really joking in his posting. If he is serious, he would not  post it in facebook! As simple as that. If he is serious why let all others to see it? Unless he is just joking.

The younger generation is now using facebook in every aspect of their lives. It is their way of socialising; their way of communication with their friends.  If this joke is uttered in private conversation in cafe and so on, it would just cause a laugh and nothing else, even though personally I think joking about threat is also not appropriate.

If his intention is just a joke, and that everyone else knows that he cannot be serious by posting in his facebook, then perhaps we should be lenient to him.

To err is human, to forgive is divine. He is just a student, without much experience in life and in how society operates. We must give him a chance if possible.

Let him know that it is very wrong to utter a threat against anyone. Let him repent. Maybe as a punishment, he could be sentenced to do a few weeks of community service at an old folks home and so on.

We should also delve into the reason why there is so much of partisanship among the people. People are much more partisan now.

As I see it, this is partly the result of playing up race and religions, and partly because of the perceived uneven playing field for the opposition parties.

Maybe it is time now to take a look at ourselves and start treating each other, irrespective of race or creed or political stand , with equality and mutual respect.

The police knows he is harmless so is there a need to arrest him and release him on bail? A simple warning should suffice. Sometimes the police go overboard. Perkasa can threaten other races, isn’t that more serious than this harmless prank?

This is monkey sees, monkeys do. The big shot politicians always issue fatal threats to those they disagree. Things like taking away people’s citizenship, berbunuh ramai from Perkasa, sending coffin to LGE office ( it is a death threat in the Chinese cultural context) and so on. What do we expect our youngsters to learn? They learn from the societal seniors. This is karma and consequence. When big shots do not offer the right role model, but the ugly ones, it proliferates in the society. The fish always rot from the head, from the top.

Not to spoil the soup, but the recent shootings of either politicians/teachers/students etc in the States, all begun with some sort of facebook postings. We cannot assume that these posts are in a manner of just ‘joking’ because it could have been either a sort of instigation or a precursor (test water).

Actually i find it rather unfortunate that these thoughts could even have sipped into a student’s mentality. Today it could be against the PM, what is it to say that tomorrow it will not be against any of our opposition leaders!

I believe that the student should be severely punished as a deterrence so that others will not even think of making such ‘jokes’.

    Sorry for my comment …

If the student who “jokes” about bombing our PM can be arrested, why don’t the same be done to the student who “jokes” about killing our opposition leader (Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz)… I wonder why double standard…

To all readers, I do not condone such “jokes” activities by any parties eiither from the supporter of Barisan or from Pakatan…. it shall be stopped…

Jibby now has a Chines Name. Ah Jib Gor (in Facebook). But he is no brother of mine. WIth Ah Jib Gor, there is no need for Chua Soi Lek and MCA. and for the matter there is no need for Koh Tsu Koon, too.

Notice how Jibby is reaching out to Chinese and Indians directly and making MCA, Gerakan and MIC redundant. This is a reflection of political realities. But these lapdog parties don’t mind being redundant as long as they can share in the crumbs from the gravy train. In fact they have been redundant for decades. They are passengers on the Umno train and are content to remain as such. As a reflection of how pathetic they have become these parties will be clamouring for Malay majority seats during elections.

Ah Jib Gor a.k.a. Na Jib Loh! , is placing his fingers into the many facets of the multi-media to gain, gather, and garner votes for the GE which is always coming round the corner.

I wonder what his name be like if he wants to try his luck with our brothers and sisters of Indian decent and those from the Land below the Wind, and the Land of the Hornbills.

This is a joke which backfired but a bigger joke or should I say Stupidity is the speech made by Ceylyn Tay, a Gerakan Ipoh Councillor who claims we Chinese are the monority and so we should kow tow to UMNO same as Gerakan kow tow to UMNO. Its sick and sad Gerakan have such “hero” in them and all the more, its so much betetr that you chose to leave Gerakan who has now turned into “Gelak-kan”

Is she related to Ling LS ? Why sound so similar in their minority must kow tow to majority theory? She was whacked so badly that she has to close her fb. A true manifestation of the quality of Gelakan.

An Jib Gor’s fb surely needs a lot of “administration” as it will get whacked just like the Gelakan lady. I heard an Ah Jib Sor fan page was created by some “secret admirer”.

Any threat of bodily harm is a reportable offense, you live with your own actions.
Any who thinks other wise try making a bomb joke or even use the BOMB word will likely get you a full body cavity search.
Still think it funny after that?.
