Why the need for private jet?

Politics in Malaysia never can be so unpredictable that you never know what is going to happen the next moment.

One moment you have the port authority making a police report against a company , the next moment you have the CEO of that company, incidentally a VIP and MP,  making a shocking allegation that he had donated 10 million dollars ( or is it a loan?)  to the minister in charge of transport as well as heading  a big component party, to be used for party activities.

The minister has denied the charge. Since this is one person’s word against another, I am unable to say who is telling the truth and who is telling lies. And i am not going to speculate.

But one thing is clear. Both had admitted that the minister concerned has on few occasions made use of the company’s private jet (5 times according to Malaysiakini) and the amount for using this service is up to US $40,000 equivalent to RM 140,000.

I have a few questions here.

Why was there a need to take this private jet?

Where did the minister travel to with this private jet?

SInce the jet is a small one according to the file picture shown in Malaysiakini, i presume the travel is within Malaysia. Why the need to spend on the average RM 28000 per trip (140,000 divided by 5) when the minister can travel first class in MAS plane to anywhwere in Malaysia for much much lesss amount?

Is that not a waste of public funds?

I hope the minister can give a satisfactory answers to all these questions. I also hope that the allegation of the 10 million being given out should be investigated to see who is telling the truth….
