Win the battle and lose the war

I agree with the suggestion that the BN should allow Pakatan’s choice to win the Penanti by election uncontested.. meaning giving a walkover. This is of course to save time and money (tax payers’smoney) knowing that there is very slim chance of a victory.

The same should go for the Bukit Lanjan seat, if ever that seat becomes vacant later on, even though I hope Eli Wong would be able to weather all the pressure within her own party and continue her work there.

The case , however, is very different in Perak.

Perak, I believe, would be better off to seek a dissolution of the assembly and go back to Perak people and end the farce there once and for all. The ‘hang’ government cannot function well for the people, and since there are so many grey areas in law , even judicairy cannot and should not be depended on to solve the Perak issue.

Even if BN won all the court cases, there is still the issue of the court of public opinion, which is what really matters in the world of politics.

BN, if they insist on holding on the state government and therefore continuing the political saga in Perak, would  win the battle but lose the war.
